What is the point. Whoever they hire this organization will f*ck it up again just like they have f*cked the coaching hires up for the past 17 years. I can't believe I am saying this but we might as well just roll with Rex next year.
One thing that stuck out to me about that article. It said the Pegulas have been in contact with Coughlin since this past summer. If that is true, that is pretty underhanded by the Pegulas. Nothing like selling out your head coach before the season even starts.
One thing the Pegulas have proven owning 2 sports franchises is that they have no clue what they are doing.

Coughlin as head coach would be the worst position to put him in this organization.
-
Just to let people know that think Coughlin is some sort of hard ass but in reality it has translated into some very undisciplined teams in NY. If things don't go well early on, his style is known to create mutiny in the locker room also.

Buffalo News has been putting out some excellent articles the past several weeks about the Bills.

7-9 season isn't a fair analogy
A better analogy would be Hiliary as the the 2007 Patriots* and Trump as the 2007 Giants. 17-14 isn't a blowout either, but the Giants were facing inevitability too.
The even better analogy is Trump decapitated Hillary. She can't wear her crown at the inauguration no more.
-
We'd have been outscored by nearly 3 points per game but claimed we won anyway?
This is a wrong analogy.
The correct analogy is "Bills beat pats by 10 points, but Robert Kraft is protesting the game because they out gained the Bills by 100 total yards."
-
Russ Brandon would not be president of the team.
-
If I was ever stuck in a kitchen that had only one knife I would hope it to be a cleaver.
-
I would take Trump over the Pegulas as owners of the Bills every single day of the week and twice on Sundays.
-
Trump would have cleaned house and the team would be in better position than what they are now.

Tim Graham has written the two single most accurate articles on the Bills in back to back weeks.
He nailed Whaley's tenure as GM and the dynamic of deflection under the Nix era when Whaley was the director pro personnel coming up with draft boards that has EJ Manuel graded in the 1st round. Egregious.
Drain The Swamp!

Whaley is by far the biggest issue currently with the Bills.
Blind as bats ! Wow!
Even the Raiders figured it out!
Over the past 16 years the Bills have never ONCE had a clear rebuilding vision and plan.

Put him in the basement with Milton?

Contrary to the opinion of alot in here we do not by any means have a talented roster. Our roster reflects or record which at best is mediocre. I know it is easier to believe we are a simple coaching change away from playoffs but we are not. Like an Alcoholic we need to hit rock bottom as a franchise and accept what we are before the healing can begin. The Pegs need to clear cut this thing and be the only 2 standing on Jan 3rd. Then and only then can the healing begin. Oh and in todays NFL with the parity we can be a playoff team in a couple years so dont thing burning it to the ground means another 10 years.
Bills fans have been overrating Whaley's roster going on 3 years now.

Exactly what should happen. I'm not a Rex a fan, and I don't think we can go anywhere with him. With that said, the FO needs to go too. Everyone has played a role in this, let's not solely place this at Rex's feet.
Whats scary is that the Pegulas transition into ownership made the EXACT same mistakes with the Sabres as they have now with the Bills.
I really don't have confidence in them as owners.
I don't like idea of czars either but the Bills are such an incompetent organization, it probably is the right course of action.
-
Brandon can't stop meddling. We were told he would be 100% out of the football decisions. Please get this guy the hell out.
By the Pegulas promoting him to president gives him more, not less opportunity to meddle..lol
He knocks it out of the park. Changing a coach is foolish. All these failures are a pattern and it will continue until the right moves are made.
Yeah. Tim Grahams argument cannot be broken.
-
It pains me to say it, but TG is right. He's a douche, but this is spot on.
Nuke the whole thing.
His analysis is 100% spot on especially on the front office.

I'll say one thing about this board- we've been incredibly spoiled with good corner play the last decade or so... I think there are many here that don't realize what it's like to watch a team with average to poor corners
We were spoiled with INDIVIDUAL PLAY over the years (Clements, Winfield, Darby (last year) etc) but NOT the actual CB/secondary as a team/unit over the last decade or so of complete failure.
-
In order of needs:
GM/FRONT OFFICE
QB
HC
OL
WR
CB
TE
LB
DT
S
K

Nothing will change until Ralphs trash is taken to the curb. The scary thing is that is essentially the front office still.
-
Let Whaley do his job.
By running the team into ground like he has already?
-
I hope we keep Whaley & fire Rex based on Rex's QB decision alone not to mention all the other reasons.
This would absolutely be the worst case scenario for this team.
You either keep both or fire both.
PFW: Tom Coughlin the favorite to replace Rex Ryan

If the reports are true that the Pegulas want to bring in Coughlin as HC and leave all the other front office personnel as is, it just proves that the Pegulas have the brains of a casual football fan and the franchise is doomed like we were with Ralph Wilson.
