  1. I cancelled my Gamepass before DAZN could take my money. Preseason has always been free to watch live on Gamepass, so thought I'd see how DAZN handle things before handing over my money. Plus with the Bills being in prime time to start the year, their first game will be on Sky, so can get a discounted rate if signing up after the first week has been played. Or I should think. That's the way the old Gamepass worked but looking at sign up options, there literally is only 1 with DAZN, when the old gamepass had a few, including mobile only.

First impressions, it is awful comparitively to the old Gamepass, which I had used since moving to the UK for about 11 years now. I'm wondering if the holding screen on the adverts is only temporary, as most of the adverts will be local in preseason. Switched to a stream on NFL+ and they were doing same thing. It's like when they cut to local news breaks in game, and you didn't see that in Gamepass. Maybe it changes when the regular season starts.

Reading some things on Reddit, I'm not holding out hope of anything changing with DAZN. They have been the Gamepass provider for Canada for a couple years and people have said nothing has changed there. What people internationally have flagged, Canadian subscribers have said is the norm. What a disastor, as the old Gamepass had it's issues, which they did tend to sort out.

I wonder what week 1 will look like, considering Gamepass would regularly have issues with the increased bandwidth of people tuning in.

The whole thing was a cluster. I expected it to be difficult but not nearly as terrible as it was. You (likely) didn’t miss out.

Generally, I wait for the market to stabilize. I’m assuming that the prices will fall as the summer goes on. I am just not as confident as usual on that with the demand for the game. That’s why I pulled the trigger this morning. That uncertainty was causing me anxiety.

Last game in London I went to as well. I remember the queue being awful, ended up buying 4 tickets in the higher section in Wembley. Two friends ended up not going. I swear I couldn’t give away the tickets. Tried to offer them to a scalper outside the stadium and he pulled out a stack. Ended up selling them for $20 essentially.

Weirdly, this time I tried the “open loads of browser windows” tactic and hope one of them gets me lower in the queue.

It’s a cluster and no one should have to do that.

yea, we are just taking the plunge and booking flights and budgeting $500/ticket....airbnb was booked night schedule came out.

5 of us going, get over $3K we may just say fug it, let's watch at a pub, and spend that elsewhere, but we will see as it goes

If it’s anything like last time, they’ll be tickets outside the stadium, 100%.

    It was just as messy.

I just panicked and bought on StubHub. That’s the most that I’ve ever paid for tickets to anything 🙄

    Oh that’s good to know.

Know a couple family members with STs who were going to offer the link but then forgot to pre register, so missed out. Thought I missed out on an easier route.

  4. Somehow got 3 tickets, but I opened 15 browser windows and one of them started the queue at 38,000. So when I got in, there was quite a few tickets still available. I'll be sitting Bills side, end zone.

    I missed it 😔

I wouldn't beat ya self up about it, think they were sold out even before the link went live. I'm in a Whatsapp group for UK Bills fans and someone at Tottenham Stadium messed up and realeased a link last week for it.

I'm just hopin Season Ticket holders get first crack at general sales.

  6. I like the player and the pick to counter what’s going on in the division with boundary CBs. Both the Dolphins/Jets, who are looking to challenge the Bills, have excellent boundary CBs. With Kincaid, I’m hoping the Bills/Dorsey can attack the middle of the field. Doesn’t matter that Gardner or Ramsey have locked down Diggs.

Don’t love giving up a pick, I think the Bills really needed all their picks.

  7. I think Josh could slide more, no issue with that.

My confusion with what McD has said, is it seems to come from this idea that Josh is injuring himself when he runs. His injury last season came within the pocket. Why hasn't he said, we could do a better job protecting Josh? It's like he doesn't want to be critical of the fact they've done an awful job proctecting him.

I know this is a highlight video... but how can anyone watch this and not get excited about the prospect of Jeudy's skill set being added to our offense? There are some plays in this reel that nobody on our roster right now could replicate. The speed is real. The catch radius is real. The ability to uncover quickly on 3rd down is real. What am I missing? Why isn't this high-upside player that fills a need and is still on his rookie contract worth our 1st round pick?

No argument from me, I would have no problem giving up our very low 1st round pick for Jeudy's skill. What are the chances there is a player with that upside sitting there at 27 this year? I'd say pretty slim. The Bills would get him for 2 years, and if he preforms would set up giving him a long term contract right when Diggs the Bills could get out of the Diggs contract and he's 32.

And we could still get Jeudy AND draft another WR in the upcoming drafts. This wouldn't limit the Bills.

Hopkins only missed time with one injury, 2021 though.  Prior to that he had missed 2 total games in his entire career and came back and was fully healthy last year.  He made a mistake in recovery from that injury that cost him time in 2022, but he has not had an issue staying healthy.

And while I get the long term appeal, if Jeudy excels here, I am not sure we would be able to afford to keep him long term.  We might, but there are no assurances.  Which is why I like risking less on Hopkins and then look to add some youth in the draft we can keep for 4-5 seasons cheap sometime during the next 2 drafts.

Why wouldn't we? 2025 is when Diggs would come off the books and is also when Jeudy would be do for a big extension. You pick up his 5th year option and then sign him to the deal that doesn't start until 2025.

EDIT: And are we sure Hopkins, or Diggs for that matter, want to split reps?

The Bills were literally a Josh Allen skipped pass on the goal line from beating them in Miami with 10 starters missing.

Yea it’s laughable to suggest Tua “beat us” last year in Miami. The Dolphins beat the Bills.

I think you could argue that the 2022 Bills defense was Leslie's best year.

#2 in points allowed starting Dane Jackson, Kaiir, Benford, and 6 games of an extremely rusty Tre.  Micah out for the year. Poyer extremely banged up. Hamlin out with his cardiac issue, Von missing half the season etc.

Sure the #2 was a big of a mirage against great offenses, but it was a pretty good season considering the turmoil.  Not sure the offense sustains its production with Diggs/Dawkins/Morse missing a considerable amount of time.

Not to mention missing Edmunds, Oliver and other parts of the rotating DL.

Like you say, flip that around and the Bills

offense didn’t having missing games from Allen or Diggs, their 2 best players on offense. Davis missed 1 game. If Diggs/Davis go down for a long stretch what does that offense look like?

I appreciate it- I think the context of consistent vs inconsistent is everything on this one. I’m surprised that we are getting random celeb tweets and not more of these clips

Yea, it’s the inconsistency for me. Thought the refs set out their stalls fairly early in the game by not calling things like this. Which I’m fine with, just don’t come back to it later in the game.

And if you look at the penalties called through the game. There wasn’t a PI called on the defense. There wasn’t a holding call on either OL. The penalties were procedure penalties, Offside, false start, delay of game etc.

Just thought based on how they were calling the game to that point, it was odd to call that defensive holding there

If you want to go back to it happening all night, I won’t pursue that point with you until you provide actual reference material either

To be fair, it was occuring throughout the night, the below was on the third KC possession, CB is tugging the jersey. This was on 3rd down. I only remember the play because JSS was also hooked and turned on his route and I thought, well if they aren’t calling that tonight they aren’t calling anything. Pretty clear Valdez-Scatling is getting the jersey pulled here.

Let’s also be honest. If that was a Bills defender and it was called this place would go worse than nuts.

I thought it was a ticky-tack penalty AT BEST and one you certainly don’t want a league championship game decided on. I felt it was an awful look for the NFL for that to happen.

Yea I thought the same. At that point in the game, to determine the outcome, just felt wrong.

Thought there was a worse missed hold on Smith-Schuster earlier in the game, when they didn't call that... no reason to call the one to end the game.

  15. Shame that, was liked by a lot of the players in the WR group. Can’t get to upset if his contract was up and he thought he needed to experience a different system to really get a shot at OC in the future. I’m not sure how much he would learn from Dorsey who was learning this past year as well.

  16. Thought it was Shanahan or Sirianni. This award is a lot like the Comeback Player of the Year award for me in that CPOY tends to be the guy who came back from injury to play again. Coach of the Year is somewhat predictable, "who's the first year coach who did better than we thought." You could argue that a player who elevates his game massively or makes a giant leap should be in line for CPOY. It's like COTY could be split into 2 and CPOY could be as well.
