I'm not the only person in the world of football who would defend him lol
I'm the only one who has enough guts to do it on this message board... Because it's not a popular take
Whether or not it has worked out is hindsight... But when he was hired to Denver.. people around the league considered him an offensive guru... Born to a football family and born to eventually lead an NFL team
You can find plenty of those quotes about Nathaniel Hackett over the last 15 years from writers pundits players and coaches... He was loved by players from Syracuse to buffalo to Jax and Green Bay... Aaron Rodgers called him a huge reason he went to New York
He sucked as a head coach but Russell Wilson admitted he didn't give it his best shot
I judge him by what I have seen on the field... Like I said, he shouldn't be an OC and definitely not a HC in the NFL.
Born to a football family means what? He's guaranteed to be a good coach! lol, c-mon...
He may make a good QB coach. That's what I see him being in NJ... This is also why A Rodgers wanted him, so he could do his own thing... Kinda like GB.
Just my opinion..

Nate Hackett had success with Kyle Orton in buffalo... He was stuck with one of the biggest busts in Bill's history with EJ Manuel
Blake bortles threw for 35 touchdowns and 4,000 yards under his tutelage
And he had success with Aaron Rodgers
That's success with three different quarterbacks ranging from journeyman to out of the league to Hall of famer
Certainly shouldn't be a head coach but he's definitely knows offense and is a very good QB coach and competent OC
I'll give you a QBC. He didn't have much to do with Rogers, Orton was who he was, with or with out HACKet. Bortles had potential but not a consistent QB. He is garbage as a HQ and a OC. Not sure why you try and defend him.....

That's why Sean Peyton is getting crucified for being classless
Even Aaron Rodgers called him insecure
Coaches handle their grievances behind closed doors not in the press
I hear your words, but I am pretty sure Nathaniel shouldn't be a HC in this league or even a OC.. There is truth to what Payton has spoken, us in B-lo know this 1st hand..... Good luck NJJ....

Don't have a hard on for him .. it's been my MO at the old message board and here to stick up for coaches as I still coach
Coaches are a fraternity and we don't throw each other under the bus usually
And I never said Nate was a genius... Never not once.. I said he's not as incompetent as half of this board makes him out to be
And He knows more about football than everybody here
That's it and that's all... He has success in the NFL on his resume he's not as bad as what people make him to be
And he has a better resume than dorsey
OK, Payton!

Josh is gonna be Josh, and I know none of us want to see him battered but he's not gonna change. His competitive nature is too strong to even compromise any change. If anyone hopes he changes, it's the LBs and DBs he's already faced, especially the ones he's hurdled.

OP is way to far in the weeds the problem has been the playoff gameplanning/adjustments and coaching. Plain and simple. We gave the coaches more excuses when Allen was young, had banged up wrs against KC first time around. Now it’s pretty obvious with this trend that all the playoff loses have been on McDermott not just the offense or defense. He’s Marv Levy 2.0.
So he is taking us to another 4 straight SB's... I'm ok with this I guess... I mean, seeing he is 2.0 version (guessing this is and upgraded version, seeing he is 2.0?) he should be able to win 1 or 2 SB's this time around... AMIRIGHT?!

I guess we should just start talking about the’24 draft now 😢
Seeing we are DOOMED... Maybe we need to start to look for a new QB and HQ!......

If your not concerned you aren't paying attention.
Diggs feud with Allen has come to a climax (since Josh got with Diggs then GF, a local bartender pregnant, so Diggs retaliated by hooking up with @brittwill and Josh found out the night before the Bengals game).
This led the team to cancel practice since everyone was butthurt about the whole situation.
The roster is currently in shambles because Beane drafted a TE who's role will be almost exclusively to block when their biggest need was at pass catcher and they spent the money they freed up with the Oliver extension on a washed pass rusher instead of Dhop.
On top of the fact they decided to pointedly ignore the offense this offseason and also failed to retain Edmunds, I don't see how you can see this offseason as anything other than an abject failure.
I'll be surprised if the Bills win even one game this season.
cool story, I got a laugh!

You mean guys like Adam Schefter? The guy that directly sources information from agents said on his podcast that even though Mahomes is saying all the right things in public, he actually wants a new contract. Which makes sense. The QB market has been reset and he's likely got family members and an agent in his ear telling him he can get more with very little effort on his part. Before long I expect us to have to pay Josh Allen more too, especially

I feel like that’s the second time you’ve posted that now. Anything else to add, or did you just want to write it out again?
And again, who’s to say he’d be less effective? What if, and this is a big what if, but what if he was MORE effective?!
So you are saying there is a chance!

If he can reach 500 Yards and 4-5 TD's, I would consider it a good season for the Rook. Dawson Knox aint no joke and if he doesn't have to block as much, he will have more yards than the Rook.

Oh yeah! Representing LBC! A local boy for me. He sure does seem to play physical. Can't really tell how well he covers though. Highlight reals only show so much. We do have an eye for DBs, so hopefully he thrives.
Although come to think of it, our late round safety pickups haven't been stellar. I thought Hamlin was decent, but more one dimensional. The rest have been special team players at best.
Im down with the LBC!

Truth be told I wanted Anton Harrison
But that’s because I can’t remember the last time we actually took a tight end in the first round. I’m not sure that we’ve ever done that.
For those of us that have been around for a while that was always the perennial question before they drafted Dawson Knox were we ever going to consider tight end a priority? We never seem to draft them.
After we selected them, I was totally thrilled with the pick and I still think that Anton Harrison is gonna end up being a good player
We drafted a TE in the first round the same year we drafted Jimbo.........Actually a few picks before Kelly I believe.
Has Miami really closed the gap?
