The great thing about Peter King is that you can guarantee what ever he says will not happen

Bring him in for a year and then get a good comp pick for losing a first rounder
-
I would not be shocked at all if Trent does not make the 53

This really shows how well run the Bills front office really is. You do not hear any of this chatter from OBD.
Nowadays yes

The case you make for WR is valid. Still hindsight.
I don’t fault the Ford selection. Never a bad idea to fortify the trenches. Ford was highly touted.
Was it the right call? I surely don’t know. But I won’t say it was the difference in us winning or losing vs Houston.
Ok - I understand until proven otherwise, but let’s not pretend that Brady leaving is inconsequential.
11-5 with Matt Cassel. Brady did not scare me last year -
Why would the patriots not be the favorite still?

This video tells you why he is not yet signed

From this point, I'd say bringing in a Top end DE, like you said. Clowney would blow the top off this defense.
Another move we could make would be to pick up OT Trent Williams from Wash in a trade. I saw somewhere they would take a 2nd for him.
Those 2 moves solidify both lines.
Problem is that he wants 20 mil a year

Let’s just get 53 DTs and play a power game

Draft pool cap looks high considering we do not have a first

Love this signing.
The guy is a missionary on ST, and honestly with the way we play defense he’ll be a very nice fit.
incredible instincts, the main idea along with ST may be able to help Edmunds quickly diagnosis plays as this is where I feel Tremaine can make the most growth in his game.
Matakevich’s knock coming out of Temple was did he have the athletic ability to compete min the NFL but then surprised at the combine and has looked great as a plug and play ST ace and has also had some very good preseason games at ILB.
But if you throw on the tape of his last year in school specifically the ND the guy was on a mission it was incredible to watch.
I know I’m gonna get flamed for this but this could be a Jerry Hughes type of situation. We’ll see but I’m pumped.
Not my favorite position but I will still welcome him to the Bills

Why would Beane who could have had Perriman for basically free and passed, now decide he wants him AND he has to back up the Brinks truck?
It makes zero sense
So you know for a fact that Beane did not have any him? Is it possible he chose another team like Brown did two years ago? Why did Beane bring him in for a workout?

Here is what I would do for my offseason:
WR
I really like the idea of Breshad Perriman here. He had a great season last year and might still be a fair price guy just based on him not having been great the first 3 years of his career. He brings the skill set we are missing at the WR position
RB
I read a lot of people wanting a guy with breakaway speed and that can get us those home run wins. I think and hope that guy might already be on the team. Christian Wade? I think we need a bruiser that can get those 3rd and 1 (although Josh has done great there) and also help close games when we are ahead with a true power game. I think Jordan Howard can be a good option here or draft a guy on day 3
OLIne
I would go after Bulaga. He can be the perfect guy a RT for the next 2 to 3 years while we develop a rookie. Keep Nsekhe as our swing tackle. Move Ford to guard. Draft depth at guard on day 2 or 3 where value makes sense.
Try to sign Dawkins to an extension.
DLine
Sign Robert Quinn to a 2 year contract. Try to resign Shaq if the value is right. If you can sign both, cut Murphy. I think Shaq and Quinn in a rotation would make for a notable improvement over last year.
LB
Sign Kyle Van Noy to replace Lorenzo. I think he brings more improvement to our pass rush. Sign Milano to an extension.
DBs
I would like to see us re sign Kevin Johnson or someone they perceive as an improvement over him.
Draft approach
I think the above free agency really fills our most pressing needs. In round 1 take the BPA at either DE, DB, OT or WR in this order of priority. Round 2 and 3 approach it the same way but pick at least one WR

Just to inject a little logic here. He's angry with the Vikings because they are now a run heavy offense and they don't throw him the ball enough. How exactly would coming here solve that problem for him?
Did you watch our game against Houston?

That would be one hell of a start to the offseason

This year Beane has a lot at his disposal to take some calculated shots/risks this upcoming year. With 90+M to spend, more than just having a good core of a roster to add to but also utilizing that cap space to his advantage in potential trade(s). No doubt, Beane has an awful lot to work with this year. Off the top of my head I think that only the Colts have more clout this year than any other team in the league.
Different scenarios/possibilities that could be work is a Houston/Cleveland type trade. Bottom line is Arizona is pretty much stuck with a player that they don’t to pay or use in RB David Johnson. Beane can afford to take on most of that contract and possibly gain a value draft pick, maybe a 4th rder for Johnson. Unless Johnson has a debilitating knee injury that isn’t being fully disclosed than I don’t believe that this one time blue chip has fallen that much off the map. In taking on Johnson the Bills will be gaining a very good to great veteran RB while gaining a great draft pick by simply using that excessive resource in cap space. On top of that they don’t have to use a draft pick to add to their RB position room.
I can’t stand him but there is no denying his work ethic and ability in WR Antonio Brown. Could this be the perfect timing to adding him to the roster? It appears that he has no where to go and Buffalo surely needs the talent at WR that Brown possesses. Construct a 1 year prove it type contract with an easy out and this has the potential of being a blockbuster type acquisition for the Bills.
As far as TE Greg Olsen goes give him a great tour first hand and show him exactly what we got going on over here in Buffalo. Then give him whatever he wants on a stackable 2 year deal, he’ll be worth every penny of it.
If Andy Dalton doesn’t stay in Cincinnati and doesn’t get a starter’s job then I would seriously would give thought to adding him in an open competition to really lighting a fire under Allen’s ass. Nobody on this roster should be comfortable until this franchise can compete at the a very high level.
I would think that the LB and DE positions this year should be a big time priority for the Bills. How they address I don’t know but I do expect it.
It’s good to hear some recent progress on Christian Wade. I do believe the Bilks retained him so they can utilize him sooner rather than later.
anyways I think this year is going to be a great, great acceleration for this franchise. Go Bills!
this sounds a lot more like a Whaley/Ryan we won the off-season than McBeane- 1
