  1. I agree, I think the new regime wants to build a contender through the draft, they realize they need to start from scratch, you need to remember we are rebuilding. I think they will bring in a couple of career backups with one or two bigger names, like Larry Foote that can work with the young players and help them develop. I think they Bills we be more active making trades than they will be signing free agents. I think they are going to be putting Whitner, Lynch, Schobel, and maybe surprise a few of us and trade McGee. Rebuilding sucks and I think the new regime is putting more of their effort into the draft coming up, they have alot of studying to do and want their late round picks to be hidden gems. But I rather them do this now so in 2 or 3 years our Bills will be contenders, and not just just a season or two, but for many years because we will have a young solid core. Once that is done we can be active in free agency to fill the 1 or 2 holes we will have at that time.
  2. So looks like the Bills will probably end up signing 3-4 small name free agents that will be backups and focus on the draft, so this is what I think they should do. 1. Trade Whitner for a 2nd round pick. 2. Trade Lynch for a 2nd, maybe get a desperate team for a 1st, but i doubt any team would give that up. 3. Trade Schobel for a 2nd, talk to him and have him release a statement saying he wants to play for a contender as a D-end 4. Unless an outstanding player falls to us at #9 trade back a few spots for another 2nd. 5. Sign Joey Porter as our "big name" free agent. 6. Trade Lee Evans and our 3rd for Brandon Marshall, if they play hard ball im willing to part with one of our 2nds we grabbed If this works out we will be looking at one 1st round pick, 5 second round picks, and with our new regime (which I strongly believe are very talented at drafting, as Nix did in San Diego) that we can draft 6 future starters in the first 2 rounds, and hope we get lucky in later rounds. Shoot away...
  3. Unless someone falls to us at #9 that we can absolutely cannot pass on I would trade down for an additional 2nd round pick. As for Tyler Sheehan I believe he can be had as a Free Agent after the draft. I work with the Bowling Green Falcons as a student manager and can tell you he would be a GREAT scout team player as he develops, and can one day be an outstanding backup. I know the Steelers are in love with Sheehan as they have been to multiple practices to watch him. A reason why Freddie Barnes had such a big year was mostly due to Sheehan (we should draft Barnes in the 6/7, he may not be the fastest but he can get open, has some of the best feet and STRONG hands, his route running is outstanding, perfect replacement for Josh Reed, could end up being steal of the draft. Anyways Sheehan has excellent accuracy and extremely good pocket presence, he can make that step to avoid the rush and make the pass down field. Our proday is coming up and i'll give you guys an update on Barnes 40 time and how Sheehan preforms. Two MAC team players that could turn into NFL greats, the MAC has been known to spit out players late in the draft that turn into corner stones on many teams. To tell you the truth when we played Central Michigan I think Sheehan was much better than Lafevour, he didnt impress me at all against our defense which wasnt outstanding by any means.
