  1. Here is what I think we should do....and I have put a lot of thought into this..

rd 1 Clowney..he would really be a difference maker

rd 2 Mack..this would really help our LB situation

rd 3 Robinson..to boost our OL

rd 4 Watkins/Evans..one of them MAY be gone at this point so just take the one that is left

rd 5 Ebron.. we could use this upgrade at TE

rd 6 Manziel..would be nice to have this insurance at QB

rd 7 BPA..we should hopefully be able to still find a little bit of talent left

  2. I had the chance a couple of years ago to accompany a group of WWII veterans on a trip to the WWII memorial in Washington DC. It was a trip put together by Honor Flight.

Honor Flights are available in every state, I believe….they take WWII veterans to the memorial at no cost to the veteran. Every veteran must have a guardian with them. Most veterans had family as their guardians, but some veterans needed volunteers to be their guardian so they could go on the trip. I did not know my veteran, I just signed up to give an opportunity for one of them to be able to go. ( I would have loved to taken my grandfather but he passed away before the memorial was built )

Let me tell you, once these guys got loosened up through the day….you should have heard some of the stories, and teasing each other. Have you ever seen an 85ish year old man look at another 85ish year old man and say "Hey Army boy, ya know what Army stands for…..Aint Ready to be a Marine Yet!!! And then, 1/2 of the busload of vets just starts hooting and hollering. Very cool stuff. To see and hear the emotions while they were at the memorial …that is pretty much indescribable. The men were treated like hero's for the day…..a band met them at the memorial, and when we returned to the airport at our home at approx midnight, there was about 150 people waiting….waving flags, and clapping. Quite a few of them had tears in their eyes, and a few even made the comment "I didnt get THIS when I came home from the war"(this is when I got tears in my eyes).

The cost to be a guardian is approx $350-400…Im sure this depends on your location, but it was some of the best money that I ever spent. If you know a WWII veteran, go to Honor Flight's website and get them signed up for a free trip they will never forget.

  3. Having lived out there, I would agree with this.

Indy will always be a basketball town.

They are lucky they lucked into manning and luck, because they'd probably be in LA by now if they had our string of failure.

I live near Indy and know several season ticket holders. I was actually told by one of them last year that he wasn't going to renew his tickets and waste his money an a team that had to "struggle" to get into the playoffs. I giggled, called him a turd, and told him that one day I hoped that he would know what it feels like to be a true fan.

    Go Bills!!!

  4. I called Directv today and said "I am ready to give you my usual complaints about having to pay for Sunday Ticket, and then you send me to your mgr and give me my $20 credit every month for the next year again....like you have done the last 2 years" To my surprise...she put me on hold for a couple of minutes and then said.."How about if we give it to you for free this year if you sign a 1 year contract"

To this i promptly replied."WOO HOO"! I have no idea why it was different this time....but i dig it! :w00t:

  5. Had some buddies from work over to watch the games last weekend and one of the guys brings over this stuff he calls "Apple Pie Shots"....the stuff was delicious but it was actually made with Everclear which you cant taste at all. I have no idea how some apple cider and whatever else he puts in there with it can mask the taste of gasoline but I was impressed....he wouldnt give me the recipe because he claims it is a family secret but I am buying a couple more jars off him of it and bringing one to the Super Bowl party im going to.

google " Dave's apple pie moonshine recipe", It is awesome. Be sure to use the recipe with double the Everclear. And let it sit for a couple of weeks, tastes a little smoother that way.
