  1. 106? Weight class 106? In HS? In all states I know of it is 103 then 112. Is Indiana different?

Also, if he enjoys wrestling a lot; send him West to the Univ. of Iowa Wrestling Training camp. A very hard two weeks but an experience of a lifetime. Also, there is the Jeff Jordan State Champ camp in Ohio that is a regional favorite - it is just west of Dayton in a small elementary school in the middle of no where.

    Just for fun - 103, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, 275.

We have talked about the Jordan camp for a few years but haven't made it, heard that it is awesome. We went to the Purler camp in MO a couple of weeks ago....GREAT camp, will probably go back next year. A whole week of drilling with zero live wrestling..they just drill it into your head the proper way..I have already noticed a huge difference in him.

  2. Congrats!

I have never heard of "beach wrestling"-- stupid question, but is it like regular high school wrestling rules, but just done on a beach?

It is in the sand...normally done on the beach by the Ohio river but this year moved do to bridge construction.

It is scored kinda like sumo wrestling..1pt for push out...1 pt for takedown....2 pts for a takedown straight to the back.

They paint a circle in the sand and the first guy to 2 pts wins. It was our first experience with it too....it was really cool, and i think being outside made it alot less of a "stressfull" tournament.

That's pretty cool! Indiana Beach wrestling, though? Sounds funny.

What does he weigh, by the way? And does he wrestle for school?

He weighs about 109...hopefully will make 106 this next year for his freshman year.....would be a lot better than 113.

He does wrestle for school...had a good season in Jr High this year... Had. GREAT season in freestyle after the Jr High season, and been to 2 camps already this summer and going to 1 more in a couple of weeks. His hard work is really starting to pay off....again...PROUD PAPA!😊😊

  3. Sorry, but just thought I had to share this. This weekend my 14 yr old son competed in the Indiana State Beach Wrestling Championships and won his weight class!!

He had an awesome day of wrestling, beat a couple of really good wrestlers and got this AWESOME belt!!post-13021-0-35529000-1404072815_thumb.jpeg

  4. I gotta tell ya'll.....I loved everyone of these suggestions. Thanks for the list jboyst, some useful stuff there.

It is a hard camper, and it does have an awning....probably not enough room for a hot tub though.

edit: I live in Indiana hopefully it will make it to the Ralph for the home opener!!

  5. I just bought a new camper today and I am sure that there are some camping masters on here. What are some camper "must haves"? No need to suggest beer.....I got that part covered! Any suggestions welcomed.

  6. not sure if this in new info per se, but i'm guessing he'll be the first texan qb to wear his wedding ring while playing. also, he's probably the first quarterback from harvard to play for houston.

i'm gonna google his name on the google and see if i can find any other fun facts to share with you guys.

    be right back...
