  1. He was picked the year Nate Clements left. He played well his rookie year down the stretch and beat out Florence, Corner, and Yobouty to start. I would have kept Greer and made McKelvin the nickel back but McKelvin was good enough to start at CB.

Clements left the year before Mckelvin was picked... other posts saying Lynch is a bust are false... Lynch has had two 1,000+ yard seasons and didnt have the time to get ready for the start of this season. I know Edwards has been bad but he was a 3rd round pick. Mckelvin has been hurt all year, it is too premature to see what type of a pro he will be but he seems like a so-so corner and a dangerous return man. Coming into the draft, analysts said Maybin would flourish in a 3-4... he has not yet played in a 3-4 scheme yet where guys like mcshay and kiper said he would be dangerous. Your view on Whitner is correct. He seems like he can tackle but he is lost in coverage.

  2. November 30th 2003 Bills:24-Giants:7

I had front row seats in the Meadowlands. Bledsoe had 2 TD passes and Travis Henry had a TD run. Because I live much closer to NYC than Buffalo, I had been going to Bills away games vs the Jets and Giants... until this year when we made a 7 hour drive up to Buffalo to see them get killed by New Orleans.

  3. If the Bills have publicly stated they would pay 10 million for Shanahan, wouldn't he be a fool to accept a job now when he could get the Washington job for more money?

The Chargers WILL fire Norv Turner should they fail to make the playoffs...Wade Phillips WILL be fired in Dallas should they fail to make the playoffs.

John Fox is almost history in Carolina-Gary Kubiak is almost history in Houston-Lovie Smith is almost history in Chicago. All these could be looking to hire a head coach.

We already know Eric Mangini is gone in Cleveland, Tom cable is gone in Oakland, Jim Zorn is gone in Washington, Jauron gone in Buffalo, is 4 for certain. It will be 7-10 by the end of the season.

Why would anyone take a job for 10 million now if they can get more money from wealthier teams.

With both Dallas and Washington in the mix, the bidding on Shanahan could go as high as 14 mill a year easily.

Chargers are 7-3, Cowboys are 7-3. Both Wade Phillips and Norv Turner are fine. What do you think Head coaches are just fired because they fail making the playoffs?

Gary Kubiak changed everybody's view of a Houston team that was terrible b4 he came. The Texans are in the playoff race and until they have a bad season Kubiak won't be fired.

John Fox turned around Carolina from their horrible start. Plus, the fans love im down there.

Mangini, Cable, and Zorn are probably the coaches that will be fired after this year. In my mind, Washington is the only place where a coach would want to go over Buffalo out of the teams with empty space.

  4. Hasselback is aging quickly, and he is too injury-prone. Troy Smith and Dennis Dixon, great college QBs, never will be successful in the NFL. Leinart, haven't seen a spark or a sign in any of his few starts, but those were years ago. Kevin Kolb proved this season in Mcnabb's brief absence that he has loads of potential with 300+ yards in his 2 starts this year (new orleans, kansas city).

I say that we try to get rid of TE, keep Fitz as a 3rd string, sign KEvin Kolb, and have Brohm and Kolb fight for the starting role in the preseason. An alternative is stick with Brohm and draft a QB in round 3/4 to back him up.

  5. I remember Brohm at Louisville when they were high ranked 3 and 4 years ago. I remember in the preseason of his junior year, analysts talked about him as being a preseason heisman candidate. The guy obviously has talent, give him a chance to show it.

Depending on how practice goes this week and as he studies the playbook, he should be a thought for Perry Fewell to start either this sunday vs miami, or 1 week from thursday in Toronto vs NYJ.

    Start Brohm

  6. Rivers = Marino, quick almost sidearm release. Will never win the big one cause the running game sucks or the WRs suck, either or.

Aaron Rodgers reminds me the most of Kelly. Tough guy, throws into tight spots even after he gets picked off for the same throw. Rodgers will be a great one when its all said and done.

Rodgers leads NFL QBs in rushing yards, Kelly could not run at all. But they do have similar passing numbers

  7. Get rid of M. Lynch in a trade, keep Freddie J and dreft another HB late. How about we build around speed and draft noel devine out of west virginia in a later round as a sleeper... Devine is used the same way as steve slaton was in a mountaineers jersey a couple of years ago and look how Slaton turned out in Houstan, a Pro Bowler. I would think we'll draft about 8-13 and find draft a QB like Clausen or Bradford despite his shoulder injury.

Of course take either Suh or Mccoy if they are there at DT at our pick but I doubt they will be. Then, you wait around a little while and take Terrance Cody out of Alabama to take up blocks for Schobel and Maybin to rush the QB.
