Good thoughts.  Let the young players play their butts off, gain experience and stay healthy.  Next year the team will likely have a very different makeup with newly added picks and hopefully some added productive play making vets.  That and the coaches have another year under their belts.

absolutely! i am very excited to see how this team finishes the season. and then the off season is probably going to be excruciatingly slow. but when FA opens up, and then the draft hits...i expect the excitement will be incredible. especially if Allen and some of the other youngsters finish strong!

It’s a combination of OL and WRs/TEs. Even with a line, team can still play 9 men in the box if we don’t have one that can get open with a few seconds.  I agree, I hope we aggressively pursue some hogs up front that can dominate, but we really need some guys with great hands that can catch these laser beams shot out of the Allen cannon.  Hopefully we can allocate the resources properly.  This offseason will dictate how fast we become a contender.

i agree with this. we could use an influx of talent on all things offense. a true athletic TE that can run, catch, and block  would be a wonderful thing. a little bit more chemistry and consistency would go a long way as well. experience and confidence for Allen will be huge. one thing for sure, i am very excited to see what happens next!

  3. draft position is most important when trying to find that franchise qb. seeing as how we have swung on Allen, i think that rattling off a few wins, gaining confidence, and possibly a bit of chemistry/cohesion, would be a wonderful thing. also, if your young qb shows a bit of promise, as do the coaching staff and some young players, then that is good for attracting free agents. draft position be damned! (i kinda wanted to trade down if we drafted high anyway)

Great team win and Allen made some huge throws and ran for over 100yards,  end of the day i do not want my franchise QB focused on running the football.  For Allen to become a great franchise QB he needs to throw the ball and more plays to need to be called to throw the ball and not run.  This is a passing league, and ground and pound is for losers  the great teams pass for 300yards on weekly basis and we struggle to make it to 200 yards. Yes the receivers suck but we need to stay committed to becoming a pass first team.  Even finishing this season focused on passing the ball and establishing ourselves as a pass first team will help signing potential free agent WR'S.

well...while i see your point, i have to disagree. this kid is running for first downs and touchdowns. moving the chains and scoring points. of course you want him to thread the needle and hit his receivers rather than risk bodily harm. but you cannot argue this kid's will to win. the rest will come. he wants to win and will do anything in his power to do so. with experience will come wisdom.

Allen leaves a lot to be desired in just conventional drop back passing but my god, the kid has the heart of a lion and the fearlessness of Fitz. There’s no question Allen has that “it factor” that can’t be measured. If he can harvest that energy and become a decent passer, the sky is the limit. The team just flat out responds to Allen and the physical ability is there. Today is a great win and I’m glad it came against Ramsey. The Jaguars went from a fun little team that you almost felt bad for, to a team of dirtbag arrogant scumbags. I’m so happy the Bills won today. We have a season for 1 more week. Go get Miami.

absolutely! this is dead nuts, right on how i feel about Allen. jags seemed to lack class. loved seeing marrone look dejected. these refs were definitely testing my sanity.

You people have very low NFL QB standards.  Even as a rookie, Josh Allen is an average QB.

yeah. stats are average or worse. accuracy leaves a bit to be desired. but this kid wants to win. he seems to care about all the things we want him to care about. he's smart. he's a competitor. and he made me jump out of my seat and swear...in a good way. so dude, i am all in!

It's now up to the Jags to figure out if he's worth that much going forward.  He was effectively getting $99M for having one monster season.  Just not worth the money here.  Not the biggest bust in Bills history but he's on the short list.

i would suggest that he got $99m because he has incredible physical gifts which give him the ability to absolutely take over a game if he is motivated to work at it. but without the putting in the effort, he is just a very large man with a crap ton of unrealized potential. he has had a lot of things happen in his life, and i was hoping that he would find an outlet for these emotions in football and find a bit of comfort with his teammates. but such was not the case. still wish this guy well. but i hope he craps the bed this sunday.

If he comes back healthy and plays well for the last few games of the season, people will change their tune and like the signing.

People around here only have short term memory. Sometimes that's good, sometimes bad, but always inexplicable.

this seems fair. people were ready to trade shaq lawson for a bag of footballs and a used jock strap before the season started. star lotula-lay-hee-hoo was considered the biggest waste of money this side of aaron maybin, and zay jones was the biggest bust in living memory. murphy has flashed some skill when on the field. so, if he can get healthy and stay that way for a while, he could be a nice piece to this defensive line for a couple years.
