  1. Trent's on his way out and Fitzy is just filling in. Let's give Brohm some playing time. At least we'll know whether to sign a QB off FA or from the draft. Yes yes I know we have a decimated O line. But 7 months does not an awesome O line make. The O line will take a season or more to completely develop. Give Brohm some confidence, assure him he's in our future plans and let's see what he does with some playing time.

uhhhh most of this line won't be here next year, or if they are here, they will be back on the practice squad or be 3rd stringers, where they started on the depth chart and where they should stay. If Fewell has any mercy he won't start Brohm and throw him to the wolves, maybe he will play him week 17 when the colts have their backups in, but other than that i don't see it happening. Remember, Fewell is auditioning for a HC position right now, or at the least a DC position somewhere else because who ever the next HC is will be bringing in an entirely new staff.

  2. Yes--I think in a few years we will regard Fitz as the guy who mentored our next franchise QB. We probably are stuck with him for another season as a starter, but that may not be a bad thing. With the chemistry he has with our WRs i can totally see him as getting us to the playoffs...but you'd be insane to think there's a Super Bowl in the guy.

    surrrrre :D

  3. I dont know if we can say he should be gone just yet but i have to admit he is frustrating to watch this year. Its like he has no vision anymore, gets the ball, runs for three yards and goes down. He isnt hitting the holes as hard or with the same authority as fred.

Something interesting to think about is if we do actually get Shanahan he has a history of being fickle with his RBs. Also, if we decide that one of those two guys has to get traded, I think Marshawn gets dealt, Freddy is a threat no matter where he is on the field, Marshawn isn't. Plus with Marshawn's running sytle, he is a lot more injury prone.

  4. I'm so sick of watching these crappy Bills teams year in and year out, even my girlfriend can pick up on that the brand of football they play is no where near the other teams in the league. As a lifelong Bills fan, can we root for other teams during this spell, as long as it isn't a AFC East team? I might start pulling for the Packers, but I'm having a moral dillema and identity crisis here. Is anyone in the same boat as I am?

  5. I like the list except for a few points. First off, Whitner and the QB postion, I would almost rather have Fitz be number 2, I think it is time for the Bills and Edwards to part ways, I still think Edwards can be a good Qb somewhere, just not in Buffalo. Whitner is a huge contract and consitantly underperforms and is injured. I would also like to keep Merydith around, I know that GB had high hopes for him before we picked him up. Finally, I could live with hangartner leaving and moving wood back to C.

totally forgot about McKelvin for a sec, gotta keep him around, thats a high priority.

  6. Guys i would keep for sure:

jarius byrd, reggie corner, lee evans, drayton florence, geoff hangartner, james hardy, nic harris, fred jackson, spencer johnson, steve johnson, chris kelsay, andy levitre, rian lindell, marshawn lynch, aaron maybin, terrance mcgee, brian moorman, shawn nelson, paul posluszny, josh reed, aaron schobel, bryan scott, marcus stroud, jonathon stupar, donte whitner, kyle williams, george wilson, and eric wood.

    boarderline:

demetrius bell, ryan denney, chris draft, keith ellison, trent edwards(only as a backup), ryan fitzpatrick(3rd string), derek fine, justin jenkins, ellis lankster, john mccargo, ashlee palmer, jonathon scott, and john wendling

the rest? there is no reason for the rest to be on this team next year.

  7. He led the team in tackles with 10, I think Tenn had about 50 plays, so Poz made a fifth of the stops. You gotta remember this is really only his second year since he was out his whole rookie year. I know this is an excuse but they did go up against the hottest RB in the league right now, and kept the game close till the 4th yet again. Once the team gets torn apart this offseason, Poz will be one of the few guys left.

I wonder what Schobels stat line was...? No one ever rips on him.

2 tackles, 1 assist. Awesome. Why don't I see threads on why he hasn't done anything?

  8. I'm sick of all the TO haters sucking each others' d**ks and making crap up to complain about, all because they are too cowardly to tell the owner of this crapcake franchise to get out of town.

believe me I am with you on that, I'm not a "TO hater" either, I was all for him and gave him the benefit of the doubt until the 4th quarter today.

  9. Wrong. Urlacher at Poz' age would have made a lot of plays. For all the talk about how the defense is always on the field, you have to wonder how Poz can be on the field for so many snaps and not even luck into a big hit, sack, forced fumble.....

Because he needs to make the TD saving tackle, if he doesn't do it no one else will, does anyone know how many tackles he had today? And for those making the point that CJ ran all over him today, CJ is one of the fastest players in the league, not just RB, players. Dude runs like a 4.4 40. Give me a break, take Poz out right now and watch what happens, Tenn could have put Collins in at RB and he would have ran for 100+

  11. I'm sick and tired of DJ and AVP sucking TO's di*k, he is past his prime and is just a decoy on the field. Because the coaches cater to his ego the rest of the team suffers, Steve Johnson should be playing in his spot. DJ knows his job is gone after this season, you can see it in the way he coaches and what he says in press conferences. He might as well go with some dignity and start to take a look at the Steve Johnsons, James Hardys and Ellis Lanksters of the team.

  12. Why was TE benched and not TO? Oh wait that's right, DJ doesn't have a set of balls and is afraid that TO would yell at him. TO gave up on the last drive of the game, yeah, that first throw was uncatchable, but the second throw could have been caught. TE didn't have a great game but he didn't have a bad one either, it is ridiculous that he was benched. Not TE's fault that the O-line gets flagged once every drive for false starts and holds. It makes total sense to me now why this kid has no confidence. Did anyone else hear the TO chants late in the 4th after the game was out of reach, what a tool he is. I know I'm just ranting now but sh*t, this is just too embarrassing what we have to put up with every Sunday.

  13. Donte needs to stop talking and start making plays, another bust for the bills, i say he's gone after there is a clean house this off-season. I am sick of him talking a big game and then being invisible on sunday until he limps into the tunnel. I like that he tries to step up and be a leader, but we lost the guy that really got the D fired up when McKelvin went down.

  14. DJ on Maybin:

"When we drafted him we knew what he was, he's a speed rusher off the edge," Jauron said. "He's not a giant defensive end, but he's a strong guy and he's got a great motor. We knew that it would take some time and thought he could help us right away in our pass rush and that's still pretty much where we are."'

Man, I am tired of hearing that.

Why NOT get a huge DE like orakpo?

Is there someone in the NFL, that has made it to that level, that does NOT have a high motor?

Did he really say "We knew that it would take some time and thought he could help us right away" Really? That statement makes as much sense as you still coaching the team. :worthy:

  15. holy crap NO SKILL POSITIONS EARLY, this team needs to build from the trenches out like the prestigious franchises in the league. Okung or Williams from OK in the first round. Then I wouldn't mind seeing a center or guard depending on if Wood gets back to center next year. After we lock up two offensive lineman, then maybe consider a QB if its out there, if not oh well. It's not like this team is going to be fixed in one year anyways. If our current defensive made up of mostly backups can perform as well as they are right now, they can hold their own once a new offense is installed. 2010 draft offense all the way with the exception of possibly a OLB, SS, or DT in the mid-late rounds or if a guy falls to us.
