Fairley is definitely a very dominating force. He doesn't like to stop until the whistle blows which is good and bad. There were a lot of QB hits after the ball is gone in that video. I really like his passion for the game and would be happy to see him in a Bill's uniform. I'd be a little worried about his over zealousness though.
I could just imagine Brady getting up and pointing at him repeatedly in a game, throwing up his hands and begging for a flag. Kind of an amusing vision in my head.
I would take a 15 penalty per half if we could knock Brady down 4 times a game. Have we put any pressure on him in the last 3 meetings?
Why does anyone believe that Fairley will be there at 3? Isn't he widely regarded as the consensus 1st pick, or did I miss some new development?

When you put it that way... I have to agree with you. Thanks for doing the research. Not sure if they will go DL or QB but they should not take an undersized LB at 3, no matter how good he is. But, the Bills have proven to be very unpredictable when it comes to the draft.
-
They should hav had Dabny Coleman wearing a Bills Jersey.

Sorry to day this but, realistically, I think both Carter and Brown will get in this year along with Faulk and Sanders. That only leaves one more spot and I doubt they put in another receiver. It will probably be a lineman or defensive player. That leaves Reed and Sharpe as shoe-ins for 2012. It will be kind of cool to watch the Bills win the Superbowl the same weekend that they elect Andre Reed into the HoF!

If Aaron Smith can't go, they may activate Ellis

If you watch many Steelers games, then you know their oline has been suspect all year, and is their weakest link. It will probably be their undoing in the Superbowl, especially if Pouncey is out. While I covet the Steelers success, I would not covet their oline. Ours is not much worse and may actually be better than theirs next season. I do question why we let Jonathan Scott walk and replaced him with Cornell Green. Why replace sub par with woefully terrible?
-
I'd take Bell over Scott.
But wouldn't you have rather had Scott over Cornell Green at RT this past year. We let a lousy player go and replaced home with a terrible one that cost more money.

The bills record in 2009 was 6-10, and they over achieved. The Bears still have many players who were on the 2006 Superbowl losing team. They were not equal to the Bills in talent last year by any means. That being said this organization has been spinning it's wheels for over a decade. Let's hope we are finally in the right track. I have way mire confidence in Chan that any coach we've had since Marv, although I'm very worried by the defense under Edwards' tutelage. I cannot understand why Chan, who admits that he has little to do with the defensive side of the ball, entrust his future to such an inexperienced suspect coordinator. It's like he's the opposite of DJ who always picked inexperienced offensive coordinators who never turned out to be any good. DJ did this twice in Chicago and twice in Buffalo. I believe he did this because he was afraid that his control would be undermined and his job would be threatened. It ultimately cost him his job in both places. I hope Chan does not make these repeated mistakes. If our D stinks again next year he must fire Edwards and hire a real DC with a good resume.

Does Mike read TSW? I started a thread about Mangini as Bills's DC on the day he was let go by the Browns. Wish I knew how to post a link.
-
Tom Cable is a former offensive line coach, hiring him as defensive coordinator would bring no credibility.
I bet he'd still be an improvement over George Edwards.
-
F Wanny. I've never been impressed with him. He had great talent at Dallas 20 years ago, he was a baffoon in Chicago and Miami. If we are relpacing Edwards( keep you fingers crossed) I think Mangini is the preferable candidate. He knows the 34 D and has had some success against Satan. Plus he's still young and could DC for 5 or 6 years and take over for Chan after he wins those back to back Superbowls.
-
He'll most likely be a Raider. There now we have conflicting reports. Quick, somone start a thread on a Raiders fan site about it and let's see how long it take for that thread to be cited here on TSW.

No interest in VY under any circumstances.
Fisher...you would think this means he'll be back.
Please don't look this up...I'm really interested in everyone's answers without googling...
Fisher has been the HC of the Oilers/Titans for 16 full
seasons. How many times did his teams make the
playoffs?

Did the gloves fit?
No but those Bruno Maglis sure looked fly.

I'm thinking he's our pick. I'm not sure he'll play next year, but if he's there I think the Bills will take him. They will draft defense with the rest if the draft. I think they will add a TE through FA. I'm not advocating this, it's just what I think will happen
-
He knows the 34 better than Edwards and knows how to once in a while beat Belichick.

for the 3457356268565367th time....
it DOESN'T EFFING MATTER where we draft until someone at 1 bills drive demonstrates the ability to draft good players.

He needs to worry about his shameful defense. Good luck keeping the head job or getting another. Guess the Bills job wasn't so bad after all was it Leslie?
Leslie would have jumped at the Bills' job had it been offered to him. He was interviewed and then they hired Chan. Thank God.

I think Scott is a better SS. Bye bye lil d

I have never seen the stadium so empty.

I think it's interesting the the three "large" wideouts taken early in the 2008 NFl draft - James Hardy, Malcom Kelly, and Devon Thomas are busts. The small guy - DeSean Jackson has been a hit. All the experts said you need big wideouts like "Plexiglass" Burres, but that's not true -- or so it seems. What you need are guys who know how to play and are willing to work at it.

You forgot Limas Sweed

I thought the OP was talking about the MNF loss the the Cowboys where Romo threw 5 interceptions and Trent Threw a pick with a few minutes to go, and Dallas scored 9 points in the final 20 seconds to win 25 to 24. The lesson here is that when you refer to an embarrassing MNF loss, with regards to the BILLS, you have to be specific. Btw there were no BILLS' fumbles in thst game.
-
I guess when you fire your offensive guru HC and your defense is pathetic, tour RB coach is your next best option. Still that's a mighty big leap. He's now been through 2 mud season regime changes so he should at least know how Not to Head Coach.

Any chance the kid can catch too? Hope so.
Who was the guy with all the inside info last year?

Exactly! I started a thread on this very subject when I read this article. Wish I knew how to link to it.
