  1. Just moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Have any ever lived in Rio, or know anyone who does. I'm trying to find a bar or something that watches REAL football on TV- not the kind played with a spherical ball.

I'd like to find a bar or some place that hosts NFL games (maybe even the Bills) and NFL events like the draft next weekend and primetime games.

Alternatively- are there any websites that I can go to for live Bills games and NFL events?

    Thanks

hey I lived there and one of the nicer hotels there has the regular broadcast games but I never found a real sports bar with Dtv, there are some Irish pub places by Ipanema that showed some also, your best bet is a good internet connection and buy the nfl network game package over the internet, the games come on right after they finish in real time, Oh and try going to club "help" they have some other interesting games being played there...lol.

  2. Two things said over and over that I think should just be banned from the board

    1. That Edwards hasnt had enough of a chance

    2. That the O-line is whats most important

I wont even explain number 1, if we all voted, Im sure 9 out of 10 would agree Trent is a child in a slight mans body with the courage of a little girl. Can the tenth guy that thinks he "just hasnt had a chance or decent line or blah blah blah"...please just shut the f up? No one wants to hear that and you are just showing us how stupid you are.

As for number 2, I remember 10-15 years ago when no one I knew said anything about the line, it was always about the QB or the RB or the WR's, then it became cool to say "defenses win championships" !!! WOW those guys sounded super smart. And then recently its how the O-line is what really wins the game "down in the trenches". OK please, really its all important, its really about having a balance. When one thing on your team sucks, thats what other teams exploit. So its better to be balanced and decent everywhere then have "A great D" and no offense, or vice versa. If I had to pick one ID take great offense and weak defense because I rather see my team score alot and lose rather than slowly lose 10-3.

I want to let all the experts know, that we all know how important the line is, and the D, and the special teams, and the tight end...etc. Please dont explain away anymore how QB would have been good if he wasnt on his back. Lots of QBs play good w bad O-lines. In 98 and 99 we supposedly had a bad o-line. When a guy named Flutie came in and sacks became a thing of the past and we had 2 10+ win seasons with a "suspect" o-line. So please, can we have a moratorium on this "revelation"?? please...and oh ya...

    TRENT SUCKS!

  3. I know I know, just me...but hear me out first...

Okay, first...he's only started 32 games and is one of the most sacked QB's in the league because of our horrible O-Line...going first on statistics...has he been that bad?...

Trent Edwards: First 32 starts....61 comp %...........5498 yards....24 tds/25 ints.......3 percent of his passes are picked

Joe Montana: First 32 starts.....64 comp %............5456 yards...35 tds/22 ints.......3 percent of his passes were picked

Tom Brady: First 32 starts......63 comp %............6,613 yards.....46 tds/26 ints....4 percent of his passes were picked

(and yes Brady threw LESSSSS than Trent has in his first 32 starts making his int percentage a bit higher)

Steve Young: First 32 starts.....53 comp %.........4,467 yards.......24/24.......3 percent of his passes were picked

Phillip Rivers: First 32 starts.......58 comp %.......5,111 yards......33/18.......2 percent of his passes were picked

Drew Brees: First 32 starts........58 comp %.......5,612 yards......28/31.......5 percent of his passes were picked

Okay so they are pretty comparable numbers to some GREAT QB's...now I'm not suggesting that Trent is ANY OF THOSE...but what I'm suggesting is that we still haven't seen enough evidence to say he isn't either...

Outside of statistics...he has a fluid motion and is still young in the game....he has a decent arm and when given time can do some damage...his two concusions have him gun shy back there, but who can blame him?...now enter Chan's offense...run first presumably because we cannot draft a stud and there are none available unless we pry D Mac from philly...so a run first ball club will rarely throw it around to millions of different wide outs...one deep threat and TE's and Backs out of the backfield....that's Trent's staple isn't it?...he never got on the same page with T.O....and since he's gone....I don't think Trent will be pressured to throw it more than twenty times a game except on rare occasions...

He is the ultimate efficient QB...to a fault sometimes...but in a run first defensive team...isn't that what you want?...I think it would be a mistake to draft a QB high in THIS draft, and I think with a Run stuffing DT and a couple OT's...you have a whole new ball game where Trent is concerned...he's intelligent and just needs to get over being gun shy...which I think he can do...now, again...I am not saying he's pro bowl material, but I think he is capable...and I think that we do not have enough evidence to criticize him yet...not when his numbers are comparable...his win loss is comparable as well to some of them...and I think he can be much more effective with a better O-Line

geez its nice to see someone still knows how to skew statistics and basically lie or at least fantasize whatever they want. Anyone can have a high td to int ratio if you throw dump offs every 3 out of 4 passes. Trents other pass is the 5 yard hook to the tight end and the long sideline ball that is extremely hard to pick off. FLUID RELEASE???? you know nothing of mechanics to make that statement. Cutler has a fluid release, Aikman had a fluid release. Saying fluid doesnt even mean much. Marino and Elway did not have a fluid release but were well...Marino and Elway. Trent has NO tools that i can see except the ability to hide his weaknesses for 2 years until last year when defenses crept up and took away the dump off. What a piece of sh^% Trent really is. A total fraud of a QB...with an attitude. He reminds me of the goodlooking guy in college who was really just a wuss and a dipsh&^^% cheated on all his exams and probably wet the bed at night. F Edwards.

  4. They could have traded for Brady Quinn and went after that Franchise LT in the draft in the 1st two rounds. The Bills have a lot of holes and it is going to be impossible for them to fill all that in the draft.

This all seems to indicate that Gailey is sold on either Edwards or Fitz. While Fitz did win some games, he was horrible.....Edwards had a very good year in 2008 only to fall apart in 2009 thanks to ....so many things....I hope he can resurrect his career with Gailey.

GOD! why do people keep sucking edwards d$%k ??? oh I mean vagina. Ive watched so many old games just to see him pass to the flat and then to the back. All 5 yarders. HE DID THIS BEFORE THE CONCUSSION! its just that defense didnt know what a vag he was and it worked for a while. He has no heart and that will never ever change.

  5. listen still a huge fan of Trent, since were out of it no reason he shouldn't be starting if he is gonna be here next year. what if any trade value does trent have? i believe he is more highly regarded in the league then JP ever was (who will never see another down of NFL football)

huge fan of a walking vagina??? why?????!!!!!! do you also like hitler? herpes?

  6. What I don't understand is why Jim Kelly is making statements that are clearly not advantageous to Trent Edwards or the Buffalo Bills at this point in time. As an owner you owe your players a little more respect in my opinion. It just decreases the confidence of a player and the value of a football team especially as we search for a new HC. Why advertise your starting QB is not worth the time or effort and what your intentions should be in the next draft, brilliant.

If Jim Kelly wants to be part owner of the Buffalo Bills then he really should start acting like an owner and keep his personal opinions to himself. There's a time and a place for everything and now is clearly not the time and the place to run down your current players.

Why would I want to come and coach for a football team that treats their own players like trash, now what does that tell me about your organization.

WTF? Who are you to say how Kelly should act? Do you really think the new HC couldnt already tell for himself what a POS Edwards is?? Kelly's stating the obvious so The Bills FO or at least Wilson, will start looking at a new QB. The current Bills owe Kelly respect, not the other way around. They deserve almost none. I for one am gald a person with credibility states his negative opinion rather than hearing the same politically correct dribble weve been hearing since Jauron took over. Edwards deserves no confidence from anyone, he had his chance to be a man for 3 seasons now, and all hes shown us is his vagina.

  7. Although I am a Flutieman, it was however, the grittiest game of RJ's career. He won that game for us (with one shoe on).

I hate RJ, but it wasn't his fault Special Teams relaxed and choked.

WRONG! Gritty you say? RJ was such an idiot he didnt properly tape up his shoes. Just like he wore a stupid rag around his head, and couldnt read a defense AT ALL, this just showed what an idiot/dork he was, but you call that grit? He passed for 98 yards in that game and only did well against a prevent in the final minute. You will never know how many passes he missed before that final drive, maybe we should have been up by 14 by the end but RJ had several 3 and outs. Antwain scored 2 big TDs and RJ got a 15 yard roughing the passer to keep one td drive alive. Grit? Rediculous.

  8. It's a bad sign when a QB will only throw to a wide open guy (mostly checkdowns or a quick "out" pattern) or a bomb that can only be a reception or overthrown. Trent is stuck in this mode and i remeber JP being stuck in the same mode. They either don't have the ability or confidence to throw it in there over a LB or stick it between two DB's. They certainly don't trust their WR to make a play on a ball that is thrown into coverage. Fitzpatrick seems a little more willing to take some chances. That may result in a pick or two but it also can result in a big play.

    EXACTLY!

  9. Owens cant manage to catch a fing slant, this was the third game where the slants go right to him and either get dropped or picked off. He either doesnt fight for position or flat out drops them, I hope they dress him everygame and never throw to him. yes an overpaid decoy should be his role. He cant catch for sh** and seems worse than ever at it this year, slow too.

  10. He also had Darrell Revis covering him today. Revis is the real deal.

Nevertheless, Evans showed me alot more today than TO did.

way to quote the article that about revis, also, you said that Evans showed you something TODAY??? was this your first bills game? do you not remember how good evans can be when the ball is actually thrown at him? WOW revis, big fing deal, one CB shouldnt stop a good WR, TO sucks and evans is awesome and your response was dumb.

  11. Trent was throwing to his WRs before he got injured today and was 5/5 leading the Bills to a FG. Two completions to Evans and one to TO. No one seems to ever bring this stuff up, always the negative. FWIW there is not an NFL caliber starting QB on this team. Although, Trent is the best of the three. Do I want to see Trent here next year? only if he is backing up a proven veteran QB or filling in until a new rookie QB is ready to play. Trent was playing well before his injury, that's all I'm saying. Fitz did nothing to make me see any different.

I'm not a Trent ballwasher, just a realist and I know Fitz will not lead this team or any other team anywhere in the NFL. Look how he did last year with Chad and TJ as his WRs. He was horrible there too. As for Hamdan, there is a reason he is always on the sidelines.

wow you are a real idiot, 5/5??? big deal i can throw 5 for 5 also underneath. He sucked all year and last year two. Now that defenses know his tendencY, singular, he is innefective, he couldnt put up a td or keep a drive alive against the fing browns or dolphins and now u suck his dck because he was 5 for 5, oh and sacked and K'O'd on a 3rd down as usual. Fitz already looked better off the bench.

  12. ok heres some "NEWS"

Edwards is a total vagina who either throws to covered players or dumps it off. He never REALLY reads the defense. He fakes it on every play, I know hes saying to himself, "now ill look at the safety...and now evans, and now i can throw to jackson, wheres Jackson, oh there he is." two yards. Its all a show, watch his head. This guy looks right at evans or owens just as they start to open up, then looks down and dumps it. He is a total piece of s*** that is second only to RJ in how much I despise him. RJ knew he could just take sacks and look ok as a QB. Trent learned if he just dumps it, hell confuse coaches for at least this year that hes a real QB. Hes a lttle girl in a boy-ish body. Look at how he did his hair this year.

Remember last year at 5-1 how he kept "reminding" us all how it could all go south? How they might not win another game? Nice attitude. I have never felt like he was a threat at QB, even at 5-1 I thought he looked weak and uninstinctive. The vagina wont through a damn pass over 10 yards down the middle, and not for arm strengths sake, I really think hes a f'ing dip s**t to be honest. He knows hell throw a pick so he just wont throw it. I hope you guys smarten up and realize how bad this guy really is and stop "wondering" why we lose and blaming everyone else. HES A P***Y!!!

  13. i cant believe how stupid some fans are to think edwards is equal to fitzpatrick, Sure FITZ played average but he hit passes that i havent seen Edwards in 2 years. Edwards is a total vagina and either throws to covered players or dumps it off. He never REALLY reads the defense. He fakes it on every play, I know hes saying to himself, "now ill look at the safety...and now evans, and now i can throw to jackson, wheres Jackson, oh there he is." two yards. Its all a show, watch his head. This guy looks right at evans or owens just as they start to open up, then looks down to Jackson or Lynch. He is a total piece of s*** that is second only to RJ in how much I despise him. RJ knew he could just take sacks and look ok as a QB. Trent learned if he just dumps it, hell confuse coaches for at least this year that hes a real QB. Hes a lttle girl in a boyish body. Look at how he did his hair this year. Remember last year at 5-1 how he kept "reminding" us all how it could all go south? How they might not win another game? Nice attitude. 14. Trent Edwards is the problem? Are you kidding me? Trent Edwards is the problem? The problem has been around LOOONNNGGGGGGG before Trent Edwards got here. So think of all the cute little nicknames you can instead of spending time learning anything logically. While you're at it, delete your account because stupidity is like a virus and this place needs to be quarantined. Our children are already looking at a future in bad enough shape, no need for more stupidity added to it.

    Hope this helps!

are you a total idiot posting this? You dont understand football at all. read my post on edwardes later if you want to learn something. In the meantime please dont post anymore since like jauron, you are obviously stupid

  15. Trent is actually going through reads/ progressions on most passing plays and the proof is there if you look at his helmet/ eyes so it is wrong to say he's deciding which guy to throw it to before every snap. He just hasn't had the Nads to let the ball go into any sort of tight coverage for the most part, even if it's just one on one coverage. This he needs to learn to do.

youre right about one on one coverage, but watch closer on deep balls, the ball is hiked and he just throws it, no helmet or eyes moving across the field. I knew on every deep throw this year that he was going deep by his drop and how he reared back. If I can tell before he even throws it, It's obvious hes already made up his mind. how do you defend the insta dump offs? look again.

  16. When the kid has time he is fine....we completely fired the line protecting him last year.

Now this year's replacements are young and learning.

Edwards had time in games 1 & 2 and produced. In game 3 the Saints gave the defensive coordinator the game ball for complex Blitz packages that our offensive coordinator (not our QB) did not have a blocking scheme to counter it effectively.

Its nice to talk about looking off WR's and going to the 2nd & 3rd option....the problem for ANY Buffalo Qb the last 5 years has been he rarely has the time to do so !

ok again,....when he DOES have time, he still just throws it to the first read. Watch his eyes on any replay. Also there are many plays that he just throws it immediately. This would be fine if the guy was open but its almost always a guy thats covered and makes no rac yards. 3 yard completions.

  17. When your OL gives you only 2 seconds, you can only have a single look before dumping off..

?? Many times hes had time or throws the ball immediately to the flat even when that receiver is well covered. This response is inaccurate. Yes sometimes he has no time, but I dont see him look through progressions when he does have time. In a way its like when RJ refused to throw the ball away to keep his rating up. Trent must know if he just keeps hitting that 2 yarder, hell keep playing in the NFL.

  18. Well Ill try to uncomplicate it but its kind of complicated.

Of course other factors could improve the performance of the O, things like better coaching, better effort from TO etc.

But the main reason is this... T Edwards.

    More specifically ....

1.He is making his mind up before each play where he's going with the ball.

2.His only deep ball is the fly route which anyone can throw since the read for that is pre-snap.

3.His outlet on all plays is the 2 yard out or "flat" pattern. A pattern that is ripe for a pick 6 sooner or later.

4.As the defense gets closer and tighter he throws shorter and quicker Vs throwing over the top like he should.

5.Every third down goes to Reed. When Reed gets doubled he scrambles or throws the 2 yard out.

6.He hasnt shown the ability or "balls" to look off his first read and look "up" the field for a mid range route.

When you see other QB's pump faking, scrambling and making plays, and 40 year old Brett farve winning in spectacular fashion, how can we say Edwards has what it takes? Really how many mid range throws has this guy ever made? I remember very few and all of them were guys he locked into the whole way, never a second or third option. Where are the 15 yard dig or crossing routes? I never see these or even a skinny post. Even JP threw a nice skinny once a game. It seemed like there was one series in the saints game that they wanted to go to Evans, so it was a 3 yard curl, another 3 yarder and then an incomplete. He just doesnt have what it takes to make something happen if his first read isnt there. He plays QB like a robot IMHO.

Van pelt is a huge improvement but sadly this wont be enough, Edwards just doesnt have it. Great back up though.

Ps TO doesnt help, everytime I see him on a replay he is running 3/4 speed, not looking for the ball, or just plain dropping it. I think he is hurting the team at this point. Throw the ball to Evans for godsake!

  19. I was watching the show "4rth quarters" (good show btw) and I was reminded of all the nicknames players used to be called in the NFL. Names like"Ironhead" Hayword, Primetime, The Bus, Biscuit, Sweetness etc. Nowadays it seems like all we have are their initials eg. T.O., DRC, L.T. Ingenious. Let me be the first to revive this tradition with some nice nicknames of Bills players and coaches...

    Donte Witner- The Reach

Josh Reed- Mr. Reliable- except on flea flickers

    Kieth Ellison- "Hes still here"

    Chris Kelsey-"Hes still here 2"

The entire O-Line "the no name project"

    T.O.- "Terell Owens"

Kawika Mitchell- "our guy with the stupid hair"

Lynch- "Predator" he doesnt even need a mask just that laser thingy

Parish- "So where did you last see your mommy and daddy?"

    Jauron- Skeletor

    Fairchild- The idiot 1

    Schonert- The Idiot 2

    and finally

Lee Evans-"the only true star draft pick this decade"

fell free to leave some of your ideas

  20. As much as we can say it will never happen this is the NFL and any given Sunday teams can win. I'm just really hoping they are playing like this on purpose and plan on breaking out a whole new gameplan the Pats arent ready for ala the Dolphins wildcat last year. Crazier things have happened and we could all be eating crow come Sept 15.

ummmm do you understand football? Do you not see we have the same idiot coordinator and head coach? We couldnt beat a Bradyless pats team twice last year why would it be different now? I will be amazed if the Bills get in the endzone period. This post is rediculous, you should have said..."what if the entire last three years was just a fluke and The Bills are really a super bowl caliber team on the cusp of greatness with a pro bowl passer, awesome pass rush and ingenious coordinator that baffles opposing defenses....oh and that jaurons not a d-ip sh-it.
