Yes, it is. Folks give Tyrod plenty of credit for minimizing turnovers. However, it also at a pretty big expense : few dynamic plays in the passing game. It's fine when the defense is playing well , and getting some timely takeaways of their own. The league is mediocre, and asking Taylor just to not lose the game such as in yesterday's win can keep you hanging around for awhile. There will be games in a season that are like the Jets and Saints games where you just need to score lots of points because the D doesn't have it that day. Or are simply overmatched. Tyrods style will only win them so many. Residing in the AFCE makes qualifying for the playoffs as a fringe team a lot tougher. If the Bills miss the playoffs again, missed opportunities in the CIN game  when they couldn't score RZ TDs will be the biggest culprit. That and an abysmal second half showing @ NYJ. The margin for error is very thin with Taylor as a starting QB.

Its interesting that you bring up the Jets and Saints games. Why is it ignored that when you get run over for over 200 yards per game, and then the Saints game where I think it was 12+ straight rushes, that the offense has less opportunities? But I agree that there are plays a top 10 QB makes that would probably have this team in a wild card spot right now, but that doesn't mean Taylor shouldn't be on his team next year (which many want). Draft a QB in the first if he's there and make him compete.

Not to mention, Tyrod was one of the better deep ball passers in 2015 (screen included through week 13 of 2015) and was middle of the pack in 2016, so it has to be asked, what changed? Dennison and then jettisoning all of our receivers can't be denied as having an impact. Obviously some of this is on Taylor too, but it's not as simple as Taylor can't and will never throw deep.

  2. Three turnovers for Savage is the main reason the Texans lost. People continually downplay how well Tyrod protects the football. At least 10 teams have QBs that will continually not even give their team a shot.

Also, while the Bills don't look like a playoff team, one could easily say that the Ravens, Titans and Chiefs don't either, and all three of those teams are currently in as of now.

That is exactly what he did.  He didn’t have confidence that the players he has could complete a pass, so he called 3x runs.

You keep saying this and it's such a BS defense of Dennison. Argue that Taylor won't lead the team back from behind and I'll give you that. But Taylor completes almost 65% of his passes, and more importantly, he doesn't turn the ball over. So give it a rest saying that Dennison doesn't trust Taylor, because if that's the reasoning, it's extremely flawed on Dennisons part.

Also, it's not even just the runs. It's the constant running up the middle in a heavy set when it's clearly not working.

Come now, the offense has been weak the entire season.  Much of that falls on the full offense, but what we are seeing on O is not different than what was seen the previous two years.

i don’t say that Taylor is the entire problem, but he is not the solution either unless you are fielding an all-time great defense and super running game.

Do you really think the defense that was giving up 35+ a game was going to hold the Chargers to below 16 that the O likely would have scored with Taylor at the helm?

Perhaps, just maybe, the entire team responded to the shakeup of benching Taylor.  Maybe instead of saying McDermott was stupid to bench Taylor, we should praise him for jump-starting a dead team.

    Hahahaha

You mean the same offense that was tied for 10th in scoring in 2016 and 12th in 2015? When Taylor was still the QB and the Bills didn't have an inept offensive coordinator.

Dude...learn football. Ball placement is a thing when you have a clean pocket and a wide open TE running with 20 yards in front of him...he made him dive on the ground to catch what should have been a throw where he kept running...

I remember Cam Newton against us missed multiple wide open TD passes with no one near him. QBs miss their mark from time to time. I wouldn't say completing a 14 yard pass is what would cost this team the game if they lose.

  5. To those saying Dennison is conservative just because of Taylor need to just STFU already. He doesn't trust Taylor who throws no interceptions and has a fairly high completion percentage, but he trusts a running game averaging 2ypc on the day?! Are you kidding me?!

Dennison is garbage and it was the same in Denver. Just google Dennison and Denver and the articles talked about his offense being he most boring predictable offense of all time.
