I think the Bills have higher expectations for Taylor...I certainly do....and at this point we do not have an elite defense
I do too. If Taylor was on alot of other teams, they'd of already anointed him as the qb of the future. But we're, spurned Bills fans, and we need to see the baby.

Perfect belichick guy. Will do anything he's asked to. I think he'll do very well....the bastard.

Whaley didn't draft either Glenn or EJ.
That's why I said, Kudos to Whaley AND Nix. Whaley was brought in as assistant GM and director of pro personnel in 2010. He definitely was/is responsible for alot of the scouting reports given to Nix and surely had influence.

Kudos to Whaley and Nix. This guy was a projected guard and will so be paid a top tier LT contract.
Like him or not, Whaley has a solid, if not great draft record (minus EJ of course).

And he's up for parole next year I believe...karma at its best!

That's funny...I thought the team quit on him (refer to: "he's too strict!! waaaaaa", the Raiders game, infighting between Russ and Doug during the pre-Pegula power struggle, etc.). You think a guy with Marrone's credentials is just going to sit back and wait for everyone to take blame themselves for failures clearly attributable to management or the players themselves. He was kicked out the door basically by the "piss poor" attitudes of the players (Orton was comatose half the season) and the front office (Russ was figuring out what the unit cost of white towels made in Ethiopia vs Bangladesh was for the annual "White Out" game). Marrone had no support and to say he "quit" on his team is similar to a coyote walking away from a stripped deer carcass...there was nothing left on the bone.
Spin it how you want. Was he fired by the Pegulas? No. Therefore, he did indeed quit.

I always liked Marrone and what he brought to this team. As Schefter said, Marrone is a highly coveted head coaching candidate and I can see a few teams putting him at the top of their list if their current head coach starts off with a few losses. He brings discipline, intelligence and experience as a head coach with great successes in his past. Not sure why you guys beat him up so bad all the time. Schefter is usually spot on in his analysis of front office sentiment and, in this case, the majority of GM's around the league would jump at the chance to bring Marrone into the fold.
Because he quit on his team....

0 preseason games would be nice
I like the tease of the upcoming season when the exhibition games start but two or three would be great.

Glenn Gronkowski: "Growing up we were at all the Bills games, we were cheering for them and all that...That would be awesome to be there. Any team would be a dream come true but that would be special."
Way to cherry pick bud.

I really feel for that guy. To be vilified, or a punch line for so long just sucks. He had a decent kicking career, and hope he can be at peace as he watches his daughters grow up, get married, and have kids.
Agree, but the ovation he got after the Superbowl made me so proud to be a Bills fan.

I liked it just because I wanted Manning to win. I really thought Carolina was gonna come out in the 2nd half and blow it up. Great defense does wonders.
-
Based on? I guess you never sinned. Don't judge bud. He paid his dues and deserves a contract. I'm sure Miami and alot of other teams wish they had a player like Richie on their o-line.I could live with 2 year deal fully guaranteed @ 9-11 million. That way no need for a signing bonus.
he's a very good guard but a horrible human being.

Wonder if this Hot Take makes me an expert.
An expert? Probably not, but Cam Newton will be the face of the NFL for the next five years or so.

An expert? Probably not, but Cam Newton will be the face of the NFL for the next five years or so. He is "elite".

Look @ the comments on the BR link. Those poor fellows think they're original.

A couple of my buddies do the nets for the bills and part of their job is locker room cleanout after the game....dougie drank Landshark beers. That's all you need to know about that guy.
Ha! 😂

The Grinch (Bowles)

Carolina will destroy them. Right now, the Panthers are in a league by themselves.

Meh. I like the attempt but....meh.

he majored in forwarding porn links
Hahahahaha thanks bud

Pegula did not buy the Bills to make money. That's nonsense. He overpaid by $400m for no reason just to get it over with.
While I do believe there was a bit of philanthropy involved with the purchase, it's foolish to think he made a 1.4b investment just to simply please the masses.
The Pegulas saved the Bills. For me, they get a very long long pass for any incompetence that may arise.

A legit #2 WR and grabbing a highly rated LB in the draft and maybe one in FA.
-
He's under contract. Not worried.

Good. I like Mario and except for this year, he lived up to his contract which is a rarity these days.
Give me oline/backers/wrs.

I wonder how many posters actually knew of John Blake before today. It's kinda like "I've heard of him! Sign him!" but in reverse.
