  1. I just don't think that Levitre and Walker match up well against Seymour, Thomas and Burgess.

I agree. They will are probably going to need a TE and/or a RB to help. The Bills have apparently been working on a three step drop, get rid of the ball quick, offense that they will use in this game. My fear isn't so much the sacks but interceptions from having to throw early or too many check downs at the line of scrimmage. Three and outs against them would be......well, we know how that would turn out. I will be hoping for no sacks and the Bills to be competitive and maybe sneak out of there with a win. How they play in this game, win or lose, could set the tone for the rest of the season.

  2. Did the HOF confirm the same old same old in this Dick Jauron era or should we be patient and THINK he might have changed for the better.

    :o

I think a little patience would be in order. I have been a Bills fan for 46 year of their 50 years and I feel the frustration of the past decade as much as anyone. It was the first preseason game with a new offensive line and a new offensive scheme (no huddle) going up against the team with the best reg. season record in the league last year.(13-3). I thought the starters were moving the ball well against them until the int....I saw some real positive things in the game. Poz was a beast, Xavier Omon looked way better than last year,Nic Harris, Eric Wood, TO still top tier. I'm still concerned about the pass rush and our O-line gelling but haven't given up on any of it just yet. I, for one, am going to reserve judgement on them for a couple more weeks. I'll wait to see if they improve from week to week before I throw in the towel.

  3. I saw that the Bears were reviewing the tapes of Jauron's halftime speech during the Cleveland blizzard game for inspiration:

"Well, obviously an interesting day element-wise, gentlemen. I think that when its too tough for them we certainly want to perform well if we can. Remember, guys, we looked good in practice on Friday. I know its inclement weather, and you can't prepare for that. Now, let's get out there for the second half and we'll go from there."

You know if DJ is ill or not up to doing an interview, you could fill in and no one would notice.

  4. First take the following precautions:

Remove anything that might produce a spark.

Remove all oxidizing agents from at least a twenty foot radius.

Slowly drink at least 500 mls of olive oil, and gargle it on the way down to produce a protective coating over the mucosa.

Wear swimmers goggles, and assure tight fit.

Write a note to loved ones (optional).

The recipe: Measure out from between 250 - 500 mls of Everclear, depending on the extent of the loss. Slowly add between 2-3 drops of aviation fuel, depending on personal taste. Swirl very gently.

That's it, except sit down on the floor before drinking. [i have handles bolted to the floor, so that I don't spin off].

Thanks. I'll set up a "kit" before the games start (to save time). If this doesn't cure the after a loss depression then I guess I will just have to be doomed to suffer. Ha!

  5. The all too frequent loses drive me nuts, and nearly ruin my Sundays. I've got a dry wall hanger on retainer. Unfortunately, the majority of my walls are exposed masonry.

I cannot listen to the audio portion of telecasts, because the announcers seem to deliberately rub salt into the wounds. I cannot watch on DVR, because somehow I need to suffer in real time.

Ultimately, my redoubt is an Everclear and aviation fuel "martini"...

Last years first half of the season tease hasn't helped. I have to admit that for the first time in a few years I was starting to billieve again. Only to snapped back to reality by seasons end. I see real good reasons to be optomistic this year but have a hard time allowing myself to go there. I have been a diehard fan since 1968.

I too cannot stand most of the broadcasters doing the Bills gams. Even if the Bills win or are winning they seem to find exuces for the opposing team......I would love the recipe for that martini.

  6. The wings are actually quite good. The nasty stuff in the back of the Pinto is just for show; he's the only one who ever touches that.

Location: Lot 1, directly east of Pole 5 (where we're at). Walk south from the fieldhouse, hang a left at Pole 5 (say hi as you go by the blue Dodge van and black Torrent), and the Pinto is up against the guardrail at the edge of the lot.

    Thanks

I won't be going to any preseason games but will be there on 9/20 for the game against the Buc's. See ya there!!!!
