  1. The DL was only rushing 4 guys. We might have blitzed and I missed it but I don't think we did. It was pretty much the 4 DL on their own to get pressure. We played right in to the hands of the whales vagina.

The DL didn't have a horrible outing.

Hands of the whales vag?? First time I've heard that expression......can you explain? :)

  2. The thing you are missing is that the pylon doesn't matter if the ball broke the goal line already. That is why it wasn't reversed...it was reviewed, all scores are reviewed. The broadcasters kept focusing on whether the ball was out of his hand when it hit the pylon, however, the nose of the ball had more than likely already crossed the goal line prior to that moment when it was still in his hand.

The truth is, however it was ruled on the field it was going to stay that way. If it was ruled a touchback, it likely would have stayed that way too because there wasn't a good angle to show if the ball broke the goal line prior to the pylon. The ball was certainly out of his hand when it hit the pylon, but if you look at where the ball and his hand were, they were clearly past the goal line already at that moment. So the question again was as you back it up, was the ball still controlled when it initially crossed the line prior to the contact with the pylon.

I believe it was over the goal line because at impact of the pylon, it hit the middle of the ball meaning the nose would have had to been across the goal line prior to that where it was still in his hand.

The refs got that call right...ruling stands with no conclusive evidence either way.

  3. I like the no huddle ... when it's appropriate. We shouldn't be married to it. If it's not being effective, abandon it. When it's effective, it tires the opposing defense. When it's ineffective, it tires OUR defense.

And if we are up by 2 scores or more, don't use the no huddle. Kill the clock.

I'd just like to see them be smart about it. If used properly, I love it.

Totally agreed, especially after seeing them blow a few games last year..........
  4. The thing which will determine who gets the bulk of the plays or even who leads the team in running yds, but actually, my expectation is that CJ and Jax will remain #1 and 1A. Brown will see the bulk of the time because he actually has the most to learn about being a Bill and most important CJ and Jax are gonna be saved for real games.

It seems a near certainty that either CJ or Jax is gonna get slowed by the not atypical nick during regular play and at that point (it is to be hoped it never happens) then Brown really plays.

My guess is that we a lot of Brown actually as he has the most to learn about the Bills O.

CJ and Jax will see some time but probably not as much as Brown, however, because CJ and Jax are likely to be coddled Brown gets the bulk of the work but sits when the #1 and #@ are named.

The fight for the remaining (possibly 2 but unlikely) is actually gonna best play or Summers adding red zone versatility and not running yardage at all. ST play and blitz pick-up ability will say a lot more about who stays after the 1st 3 than their time running the ball.

Just like 3 or so years ago when someone whose name I forget was a UDFA who led the team in pre-season rushing yds, but much to the surprise of many of us outside observers, he got cut.

Who gets the bulk of the running plays may be an indicator that player gets cut.

    Joique Bell.

  5. Playoffs!

I read an article, I think it was that Yahoo one, which said the Bills trading up for Sammy was a bad move because the Bills are a bad team that needs more than 1 good player. They then went on to point out how we lost 2 overtime games last year (not to mention the Pats by a last second FG) and how we really could have been 8-8 or 9-7. If you are asking me, we should have beat the Chiefs too, so yea, 10-6 with a rookie starting QB that was injured half the year. Doesn't sound like a bad team to me. They went on to rank us 27th out of 32 teams. They were talking out of both sides of their mouth and it didn't make any sense. Typical media bs written by a "sports writer" who never watched any of our games, only saw the highlights and final score. But that's fine, I like being the underdog. I want the team and the fans to stay hungry. With all that has been going on with this team, how sweet would it be to stick it to these so called "experts" and make a playoff run or *gasp* win the division?

So ready for the season to start!

Prolly would have got the Browns too if EJ wasn't hurt............11-5 :)
  6. Steve Tasker was certainly one of the top 3 special teams players if not the best of all time, definately HOF worthy. Part of the decision process of not playing him at WR may have had to do with how valuable he was at ST. I would not want him getting hurt at WR, especially with how stacked the team was at WR. Gunning, punt/kick blocking were game changing plays for us..........(would like to have seen what he could do in a Welker role, though............)
