  1. A healthy Crowell was the best linebacker we've had on this team in 5 years. I think Ralph and his shriveling brain got too personal with that IR move last year. The smart play would've been to carry the roster spot and evaluate Angelo after the 10 week rehab and see how he played at the end of the season. It wasn't like Ellison was lighting it up back there anyway, and Crowell had too much potential to just let get away the way we did. If it's true that he signed a simple 2 mil one year deal with Tampa, that tells me he had sour grapes from the IR move and didn't want Buffalo anyway, or that his rehab hasn't been successful or his physical was questionable. I agree with the previous poster that not having to burn a high draft pick on a LB would really help us on draft day this year. Good teams keep their good players unless it's over money, and this wasn't. (sniff sniff. We miss you Pat Williams and your five annual hawaii vacations and number one defensive ranking since Donablow let you go)
  2. Totally disagree If he had shown up at camp last year he'd have the same offer on the table he has now. Agent lost a lot of client respect both with fans and the team, but most importantly he risked an injury by putting Jason out there obviously not in game shape. If he blew a knee last year it would have cost him EVERYTHING except the guaranteed money in his modest contract. Now here you are a year later with the same demands and nothing has changed (oh with the teeny exception that your client made $5m less last year than the Bills would have guaranteed him). He should have sent Jason to camp and THEN pulled him if the organization wasn't negotiating in good faith. That's what "well played" means. Most money, least risk to client, player/team integrity stays intact. You wait and see. Bills will pay him $9.5 a year, just like they would've last year. Throw in some pro-bowl bonuses and keep the big fella happy. p.s. I keep thinking about how funny it is that we wasted a #4 overall pick on Mike Williams and sitting out there UNDRAFTED for 7 rounds was our Pro Bowl tackle all along. What was JP's college coach thinking putting him at TE? Dumbass. He owes Peters about 20 mil and a few of those hot chicks that love those first round draft picks!!
  3. I love the guy. Reminds me of Leonard Smith back in the day. I'm afraid I agree with some of the other posts though. He struggles in coverage and he's not quite big enough for OLB. Also remember we have two pretty good strong safeties right now.
