  1. Do we Kick the tires on Zay Jones?

    https://www.nfl.com/news/jaguars-release-wr-zay-jones-after-two-seasons

    Per NFL News:

The Jags spent the offseason reworking the wide receiver room alongside Christian Kirk, adding speedster Gabe Davis in free agency and snagging Thomas at No. 23 overall during last week's first round. Jacksonville also has 2023 sixth-rounder Parker Washington and new return man Devin Duvernay. In addition, veteran Jarvis Landry is trying out at the Jags' rookie minicamp. Jones, a former second-round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2017, spent the past two seasons in Jacksonville. He generated a career-high 823 yards on 82 catches with five touchdowns in 2022. In 2023, the wideout missed eight games due to injury, putting up 34 catches, 321 yards and two TDs.

Jones plays primarily a boundary role but does have some flexibility to take snaps in the slot if needed. He should find a landing spot this summer for a club seeking low-cost veteran help on the outside.

The Jags signed Jones to a three-year, $24 million contract with $14 million guaranteed in 2022. Releasing him after two years saves the club $4.18 million on the cap with $6.57 million in dead money.

How do you not know Worthy still reaches KC if we don't trade with KC?  Would you rather take some draft capital AWAY from KC and they take Worthy...or let KC get to KEEP that extra draft capital and STILL get Worthy?

The only moronic thing here is that you don't seem to understand this fact that KC was getting Worthy regardless and we instead got their 3rd almost exactly replacing the one we used to trade for Rasul vs them still getting Worthy and keeping their 3rd.

This fan base can be mind blowing on how they over react and don't see the bigger picture to things.

What's moronic is failing to see how Beane mismanaging the receiver position put us in this position to begin with.

  3. I am very worried about the linebacker situation.  Dodson can play either position and I think Williams can be okay outside but I do not feel good about AJ Klein.  I know he had a bunch of tackles last week, but I am thinking about pass coverage and matching up with Kelce.  I am worried about losing Taron J. at nickel and having to start Cam Lewis.  I think Elaim can be okay but I worry about him giving up a p.i. in a crucial time of the game.

He's not a good fit at Safety at all.

Cut him outright and save the money, OR offer him something like 3 years/$18M with like $15M guaranteed. He gets some more guaranteed money and we significantly lower his cap hit. Other than that, he is welcome to test the market.

Why is he not a good fit at safety?  Given the injury history, why would we guarantee so much upfront?
