The difference is that Moulds had attributes that Coleman simply doesn't or won't be able to have. Moulds wasn't nearly as limited as Coleman is, even when he was a year or two into his career. He just had to put it together and develop. The talent was always there, he just had to gain confidence and cut down on the drops.
He may improve from what he is now. But Coleman is never going to be a 4.5 guy like Moulds. He's never going to be as physical and as powerful as Moulds. He's never going to have Moulds' frame. And I doubt he'll ever have the "dog" in him that Moulds had.
Moulds ran a 4.4.

His team is 3-5 and the defense he plays on has given up a touchdown more on average than the Bills.
No hate towards Von, he would have been great here if not for injuries. That said because of injuries he may be one of the worst free agent pickups in Bills history. Why bother with the gotcha post?
Wasn't intended to be a gotcha post. I just thought it was an interesting stat and wanted to see what other thought. Wasn't sure if scheme had anything to do with sack numbers.

Von Miller has 4 sacks this year. Bosa and Ed Oliver has 3 sacks a piece. Is it possible our scheme held him back?

This defense has never been good at stopping the run, are there exceptions to prove the rule? When isn’t there…,
The defensive scheme since day one of this regime has been one of soft coverages, and a mediocre D-line, stocked with retreads, and under sized draft picks, ( Walker, the exception to prove the rule)
To say frustrating is a massive understatement,
Always hoping for the best,
GO BILLS!!!
So how was this D number 1 overall a few years ago?

I wonder if they will start Cam Lewis and Cole Bishop over Poyer and Bishop

I did find it interesting that Alec Anderson replaced McGovern instead of SVP.

The Buffalo Bills are in danger of using up the best years of Josh Allens NFL career without winning a Championship. A similar elite athlete at the QB position in Cam Newton retired after 11 seasons. Allen is in his 7th season now. Ryan Fitzpatrick is a highly intelligent football knowledgeable retired NFL QB that spent many years playing under Chan Gailey. Business minded and could help the organization in many ways. Example : Fitzpatrick is touring the Bills new stadium. Discussion about where the snow melt goes develops and Fitz comments why not purify some of the snow melt and sell it to the Bills mafia? (not word for word) Brilliant idea IMO. Few minutes into the tour Fitzy's mind is already working on ways to make the franchise $$$$. Delight the Bills faithful. Fitzpatrick knows how the Offensive Guru Gailey thinks and has the Gailey play book memorized. Ryan Fitzpatrick would give Buffalo the shirt off his back. Fitzpatrick loves the Buffalo Bills and their fan base. The Bills love Fitzpatrick. It's a match made in the football heavens. Always has been. Ryan Fitzpatrick can help make sure the remaining years of Josh Allens career are successful and help Buffalo win a Championship in my humble opinion. Part time consulting. Keep his television gig.
What say yee my fellow Bills fans? 🤷♂️
But Josh has gotten better with throwing interceptions.

McD called plays the year before Babich was named DC. I don't know that McD did all that much better than Babich.

Genuinely interested to see how beane would draft without McDermott.
The one year McD did the draft without Beane, didn’t he get Tre in first and Dawkins in 2nd?

I thought Maye was a solid B and made a good number of important plays. I thought Diggs had an A game. Whatever the Pats did defensively, really gave Joe Brady and company problems. Maybe someone who knows defense can break down what the Pats did.

Bye bye Bass..
-
I like Trey White but he's the definition of washed up....starting to wonder if they should bench him and throw in Ingram.
-
Anyone know when Bass’ I.r. Stint is over? We are getting close to decision time.

With Knox's cap number for next year, he will likely be a cap casualty with or without Hawes.

There is a good chance Buffalo could be 7 - 0 going into week 9 when they host KC. The next hurdle after KC will be Tampa two weeks later, then Cincinnati (if Burrows is back) and finally, Philadelphia in week 17. Interestingly, Buffalo plays all of those games at home. By the way, Buffalo travels to Cleveland in week 16. Cleveland is not that highly regarded, but they did knock off Green Bay thought by many to be a top five team before Cleveland beat them. Cleveland might have one of the toughest defenses in the league.
Buffalo will likely be favored in every remaining game, but if they let their focus drop or sustain a few key injuries there are a number of games they could lose.
Those pats games are going to be tough. I want count those as wins just yet,

I am super jacked about the win and things are great. HUGE WIN
I do however wish Coach McDermott would stop trying to be too fancy with the 2 point conversions and just kick it and take our point and be happy. He really put us behind the 8 ball doing that tonight but we prevailed. Yay!

Been a fan since the mid 80’s. Been to multiple games in Buffalo. Love what the city and fans represent and love passing that tradition on to my daughter. Our family will be there for the Saints game.
LETS GO BUFFALO! BillsMafia is everywhere!
Born in raised Baltimore and I have been a Bills fan since I jumped on the bandwagon during their first Super Bowl season.
I visited Buffalo for the first time this past summer and saw them in training camp at St John.
i was blown away by how nice and welcoming the people in Buffalo were.
The highlight of my trip was running into Keon Coleman on my 50th birthday at the Bills store in orchard park. He was since a chill guy. I ended up getting in an M and T bank commercial with him and he bought me a bunch of Bills merch.
I wear it all for good luck during the Bills games. I love the city of Buffalo a lot, it feels like my kind of city.
i now live in between Baltimore and Washington and hear all kinds of crap from both Commanders and Ravens fans.
Go Bills! And great post by the op.

Bust or Breakout: Can Keon Coleman make an "Eric Moulds" style great leap forward
in The Stadium Wall
Posted · Edited by NoName
I can recall Marv Levy talking about him running a 4.4. Additionally, he dang sure played like a 4.4 guy. On a seperate note, the way Moulds attacked that ball in the air? That guy was nasty when it came to snatching the ball. He played with a mean streak. With consistent qb play there is zero doubt he would be wearing one of those gold jackets.
I will say that Coleman is definitely a better leaper than Moulds. Comparing some of the leaping tds in the end zone, I feel that Coleman was more effective and wasn’t necessarily a strength for Moulds..
I met Keon in person and had a conversation with him and found him to be a real good person. And the funny thing about it is he approached me to start a conversation with me with plenty of other Bills fans around. I really hope he turns it around in year 3 like so many others (including Moulds) did and I have faith that he will.
