  1. I hate the bravado. There is a reason they play the games. I hope something can be learned from this, but my Jets friends tell me it doesn't end well. I am still hopeful.

I know Brady eats up the blitz, but the lack of pressure was unbelievable. Go back and watch what the Giants did to end the unbeaten season. Brady had some success, but after getting rocked a bit, his body language said he was defeated. If this was real grass his jersey would have been totally clean. If you can't cover dropping db's then you need to try something else.

TT has me hopeful. He remained calm, and made some throws. Not perfect, but for a second game he was good. Wit this defensive personnel if you said we'd score 32 points do you think we'd lose? This one is on Rex.

  2. I enjoy this banter more than the game last Sunday. I have to say that I am only hopeful because we have new ownership that has been pretty quiet. If Mr Wilson was still aboard, I am not sure how I would feel. I wrote that it was justice that the end of the RCW era would end in a loss to the hapless spawn of Al Davis, but there it is. I am obviously at the amusement stage of it all, because investing emotionally in this mess is too much.

I used to go to games. This year I went to the Dolphins only because we finally have a new owner. They confiscated signs that said anything Pegula and I guess I get that. But that era couldn't end fast enough. I am too competitive myself to understand owning a team to make money but not win. To me he was a modern PT Barnum with the Owens signing as proof. I thank Ralph for keeping the team in WNY, but not for management of his "product", which by action the Bills were to him.

I feel like its a new day!

  3. When your team sucks for fourteen years, you have a whole group of kids who have no interest in the Bills. They see dad their suffering, and want no part of it. When I pick my kids up from school I see way more Patriot and Steeler gear than Bills gear in the Rochester suburb I live in. I am appreciative of Mr. Wilson's effort to keep the team in WNY, but as an owner, not so much.

It will take a bit of winning to get kids on board. You can paint it any way you want, i.e. "It's hard to win in the NFL", but I think it's really hard to miss the playoffs for 15 years in a row.

    PS....Go Bills.

  4. Lost in the excitement of yesterday is any talk of the new improvements. I didn't get to a preseason game, so it was my first experience. Cal me wondering where 130 million went. That is a lot of money. I sat in section 333 for reference.

    1. I noticed the Ralph was seriously missing a lot of fans a kick-off. I had gone in at 11:45 and experienced no real wait, but a guy who sat next to me showed up at 1:20 and said he waited over an hour, as did a few others who straggled in. I believe one of the goals was to reduce fan's wait. They kept saying n the radio to get in early. WTH!

2.The wait was less for concessions. (but 9 bucks for a bud out of a can that took way to long to pour? Doesn't Bud make something better tasting?)

    3. I had to use the bathroom twice. Both times the line for the men' room was out the door. (No I didn't P in the sink).

    4. The Audio was very improved, but do we need noise every minute?

    5. Another improvement was supposed to allow me better phone reception. I could text with a delay, but getting to NFL.com was like logging in to dial up. Is there something I was doing wrong? (Verizon)

    6. The new paint looks cool, but again, you would think that for that kind of money, the broken concrete on the ramps walking up and the general look would be better.

    7. The scoreboards were good, but the only place to reliably see the down and distance and other stats was at the end of the ribbons. Very small.

  5. I feel sorry for him and all the other guys that cover this team on WGR. They are the Bills station, so I am sure they have to wrap this turd up in at least some kind of wrapping paper. But doing that week after week and year after year has made them and us pretty testy.

Wouldn't you all love a competitive team, with a shot at the playoffs to talk about? Them too.

And for those who argue that they get paid, never had a crappy job they hated. Money isn't everything. Paul sounds down right despondant.

  6. You are completely wrong about this, just so you know.

Bandit, image is reality. I'm guessing from your past posts you have some kind of personal connection and I'm sure if you do, it's not easy to read this stuff. But good man or not, Ralph is a bad owner. And futility reigns until he's not the owner. That reality frustrates.

I laughed when I read that the eagles were considered the current laughing stock of the NFL. OBD can't even get irrelevant right.

  7. Syracuse Basketball. When they won the NCAA title, it was not the magical victory I thought it was going to be. I think it was because in college ball, the turnover of players is 2-3 years, unless you get a phenom freshmen. And there is less access to the players throug interviews, etc.

But it was cool to finally be on the winning side. Being a Bills and sabres fan, the pride comes from sticking with your (sad) franchise, not the actual organization's success.

  8. So please for the last time spear me the crap, you & Promo & whoever else that says they had trouble filling up the place even in their super bowl years. Most other owners would of killed to have attendance like the bills had back in the late eighties & early nineties.

I've always thought of the attendance some of you kids form those days was bs. many of those games I was at, back when I would have paid anything. I f they rised the ticket prices 20 bucks each and put a contender out there, the stadium would still be filled. It hurts me to say that my trust in one bills drive is so shaken, I watch the games in tape delay, because they just aren't worth my time. My two boys would probably get on board if they were competitive, but they took these last two games as a "that's why we follow the Steelers" punctuation to me.

I laughed when I heard all the talk about MAtt Cassell being cheered when he got hurt. Nobody wishes him bad personally, the just want him out of their lives. I feel that way about Mr. Wilson. Not dead, just dead to me and my fellow suffering Bills fans. Whatever happens has to be better than this.
