We need a coach that comes out and says "wtf are you guys doing out there? Do you want to be losers all your life or are you just sucking because you suck? You're not better than this? Get your ***** together."

But nope. McDermotts gonna say " hey guys, [clap] we can do better. We have a good team and we all **believe** and can play like a team because I used to wrestle and still wrestle [clap]. Can we come in for a hug, and I'll get my chapstick ready for after the game in case anyone needs more comfort. "

This team has no fire, no leadership to ignite a fire. Without Hyde to feed off of Poyer and vice versa there is no energy.  Without Hughes there is no emotion or spirit. There is Edmunds, a quiet leader and Oliver, a quiet role model.  There is goofy Tre white. There is no one to make these dudes step up.

On offense we are just anemic. The OL has Dawkins who isn't a leader, Morse who's on the back 40, and hodge podge rag tags across the board bordered by emotional wreck diggs.

McDermott needs to make them inspired men. And can't.

    Get some help dude......

But replays were very few and far between with Amazon. How was it not at least running into kicker. KH not meant to announce NFL games imho!

Reminded me............I was at the game. Whoever was running the stats was inept. When the Bills put the first 3 up it didn't show on the scoreboard for at least 5 minutes and down and distance was often late/wrong. The stadium was amazing, the jumbotron was amazing, statisticians were poor.

  3. I will give it to a KC couple who was watching the chiefs in a bar next to me while I was watching that dreadful Miami game who told me when their giant Mastiff dog went out to take a dump they called it a " our dog is making a football move" and I now use that regularly..........

  4. I have losing PTSD, so I get what the OP is saying. Getting so caught up in fandom that the football or hockey content isn't as important to protect myself from the inevitable. I expect disaster but hope for none. That's a peace I made with myself after the 3rd Superbowl loss.  I also witnessed the Syracuse Orangemen win a national championship and it wasn't as big a deal as I'd made it out to be mentally after supporting them hard during the 80s and 90s.

I'm in the "no matter what happens, this is fun" camp. I fear the darkness that will come if the team doesn't meet expectations.

I was aware of it because Kaiir himself talked about it. He said he was determined not to fall into those ways and that he learned from their mistakes.

I know firsthand that it is possible to make the decision to not be the same as your predecessors. It’s the best motivator.

Negative mentors are what I call them. Learned as much about what I didn't want to be from them as I did from those I wanted to emulate. Rooting for this kid.......

There are some scorching-hot takes floating around about the Patriots, and many of them could turn freezing cold by the end of the week. But, at this stage of the offseason, fans are justified in feeling nervous about New England’s activity — or lack thereof.

If you are as old as me you would laugh at the remembrance of an old Don Shula going down in flames at then rich stadium. Feels familiar.
