Lot of Fantasy based hot takes on Saquan.
His offensive line ranked 31st and 30th in the last 2 years.
Injuries, yes. But Done?
I would bet not.

If there's a shot at Saquan, ya take it.
His stock is low. Buy the dip.

As long as the world is turning,
There will always be a variety of different reactions to the Bills latest news/game
And those cursing others because of a non-uniform response
Or "My response is more relevant/just/smarter/better than that guy's"
Celebrate the variety - it will always be here.
Plenty of echo chambers out there (like Twitter) to control those you want to hear from.

Mahomes? 💩

I don't think Motor can sustain for the whole year what he did late this year. He deserves the chance to but we should have some insurance better than Moss.

Personally...if we make a trade for a name...I would like to see us go get Saquan Barkley, and I think that may be more likely personally. We can offset some of the acquisition cost by including a player or two that make sense for them, like Moss as a potential replacement and maybe a slot guy like Cole to help Jones or what ever other QB they have in there. Send them and a late pick for Barkley then redo his contract here.
Barkley here could share time with Devin and not be over used and run into the ground while also training in the NFL's most state of the art facilities to get himself fully healthy and hopefully stay that way. Having a healthy Barkley behind a revamped OL with Josh Allen at QB could be stupid good if he can stay healthy. And we still have Devin for insurance.
0 arguments here. I live in Giants country and have seen a good amount of his games. In a short career, he has been in multiple systems with horrid OC's, Horrid OL's and Horrid QB play. Injury prone? Fair to say, so he comes at a discount. Look at the year James Conner had....in a wide open offense like ours. Change of scenery, elite offense, elite QB, contender. I would place a bet with Saquan.

Agreed...I guarantee that most the people begging for Mack don't realize he hasn't had double digits sacks in 3 years. Yes, he is going to be an upgrade, but how much of an upgrade at this stage of his career is questionable given he is over 30 and coming off that injury. Is it enough to warrant weakening our selves else where through the cost to acquire and pay him?
I get your points for sure.
Stats aside, my thing is, what does his presence do for this defense? He is one of a very few guys in the league who the offensive coordinators have to account for when he's on the field. In the chicago defense, they can simply go away from him. In the Bills defense, I think it gets interesting because we have a lot of very good players. I see him (like a Cam Jordan) being that one guy that takes the whole unit to that next level. 30 years old is just fine for that position. He's still a beast.
He's in the zone to leave the rebuilding team and shoot to be the missing piece on a contender. Von Miller just paved his way this year.
Wouldn't hate it at all if we could make it fit. I wouldn't bet next year's pass rush on 2 sophmores who may/may not regress.

Or we could just do what's almost certain to work: Get Josh a receiver or two who has the speed to scare defenses and turn short passes into long gains. We're not drafting anyone this year who's going to shut down Hill or Kelce, and at any rate, our defense is already at least as good as KC's.
Deeee Jayyyy Chark doo doo do do doo doo

If you can design a defense to do all of the below:
the NFL needs you.
Rush 4 down lineman
Guard against Hill home run threat
Guard against Kelce destroying through the middle
Guard against Mahomes scramble

Nice of them to think of us.
KC looking "super" - tough task ahead.
-
DJ Chark is one I would look at - he has near-elite upside and has to be respected with his speed. Has been trapped in a dumpster fire FO/QB situation and would be a massive add to this offense. He has shown game-breaking abilities. With Adams/Godwin and others drawing humongous numbers, he is one you can get to come to Buf for a "prove it" under JA and let him test the market again after a massive year/2.

one well placed nightmare pass rusher and the other pieces start to fit better
None of our guys are a GUARANTEE to get home on a pass rush if the QB hesitates. Lot's of them COULD get there. We need the guy in the mix that WILL get there.
These guys change offensive game plans for opponents...shortens the mental clock for the QB, chops down the route tree.
Get another CB that can man-up in the draft and our other CB's can play nickel/slot and our safeties can ball-hawk instead of playing 2-deep prevent against a KC.
When you know the pass rush is 100% home inside a certain time, the rest of our pieces can play ball with anyone.
Khalil Mack is my vote. LAR defense was elite in everyone's eyes BEFORE Von Miller arrived. It's paying off huge now. They are a nightmare.
Mack is a comparable add to this unit.
-
Trade for Khalil Mack and the defense has it's undisputed leader. This would be his shot for a ring. Bring him home to finish the deal.
Patterson is interesting but I have this thing about players coming off a spike contract year. It often doesn't translate. He is dynamic though and could be a swiss army knife in this offense and ST's.
I am all for a high draft picks on OL/DB
I think we can get WR depth off the street for this offense/QB but can't unsee that DJ Chark is going to be out there. In a new setting, non-dysfunctional, and with an elite QB....I wouldn't hate that. He is not going to command anything near what the big WR names will and he carries near-elite upside.

its all dregs. There's nothin on that list I would want, except maybe Chris Godwin (TB) or Mike Williams (LAC).
Davante Adams isnt going anywhere that Aaron Rodgers isnt. JuJu is a knucklehead, and OBJ is the anti-process player.
Chark is interesting. Underachieved in that system with all the dysfunction...fast af, not a bank-breaker. Has shown he has game breaking abilities.

We went away from Mackenzie run plays as well.

Morse played well down the stretch but still think we need to look at serious upgrades for entire interior oline. Not sure I believe in Bates long term either.
Find our own version of Creed Humphrey this year.

2 deep zone - they were basically in prevent all game
It's like we convinced ourselves that Andy Reid didn't know this was coming. Flat defensive gameplan. We didn't give ourselves chances to make plays. Just hoping we could contain drives and outscore them.
With Tre, we have the man coverage option on one side. That frees up a spy role, extra zone coverage in the middle for Kelce, blitz option from CB or Safety.
The difference was no #27

Morse spent an awful lot of time after the game congratulating his former KC teammates and coaches. It certainly had the look of equal parts congratulations and goodbye.
That went on too f-ing long and irked me.....agreed.

It still feels dirty to start a thread on a specific player we "must get" to patch the hole. This player, however, should have been in a Bills uni from draft day. I remember vividly the poop-eating grins on the face of our GM/President (as they pissed away picks to move up in a uniquely WR-rich draft), and I thought it was for this guy, then they took.....Sammy Watkins. When they had a need for a pass rusher, a supreme talent and the best UB football product of all time.
Khalil Mack
He's at the point in his career where he could plug-into a contender and be a difference maker. They're still "blowing it up" and rebuilding in Chicago. Has 3-5 good years left. This is one I would trade for that immediately impacts the defense with leadership and a little nastiness. He ended the season early with an injury and probably could be had without breaking the bank.
Still emotional, and not clear-headed, but he's always seemed destined to be in a Bills uni.
For whatever it's worth. Luv ya all Mafia....heartbroken.- 5

We still lack that nightmare pass rusher. We do not have that one guy that WILL get there every time if the QB takes too long.
The middle of our defense has a tendency to vaporize.
Not sure if coaching or if we do not have the right guys.

This D was a step slow and a touch out of position all night. Tackling was disgusting. Great D to play the Jets and Fins 2x a year....
Not yet there to ball with KC.
This game was all Josh - we would have been blown out otherwise.

Rodgers issues go way back before that lol.
Some of you need to lighten up lol.
Yeah, the troubled past of Aaron Rodgers. Never saw it, but today, it's a thing.
Do you want Gronk?
