  1. Hi Everyone! Next Sunday, my father and I are sharing our annual tradition with my 10 yr-old son - we are taking him to his first Bills game. I read that Jim Kelly is often in the parking lot before home games.

If this is true, anyone know which area/section we can find him in?

    (& at what times?)

    Thanks, and GO BILLS!

  2. I am begging anyone out there to help start a real sports radio station in Buffalo. It's the start of training camp, free agency is crazy, and it's the NFL, yet, the two afternoon hosts on GR are talking about movies? Movies???? Are you kidding me?? What a joke of a station! Shame on the callers who kept calling in to talk about it too.

I listen to WGR in the mornings & SiriusXM NFL Radio in the afternoons b/c of these 2.

  3. Tressel should be hit HARD !!.....like a 10 year ban from the NCAA for coaching.

the school should forfeit and vacate all games including bowl money that the players played in. loss of future scholarships. i'm not completely up on USC's (reggie bush)punishment, but this is much more serious.

the players should lose their scholarships and be DQ'd for one year.

Oops. Sorry about the above. iPhone issue.

Anyway, the real tragedy is the school will suffer while Tressel will get a job in the NFL or on TV. OR, Tressel will just sit back & live off his large buyout.

  4. What's with all the hate? I'm hoping he gets his own channel on Sirius XM, just like Mad Dog Russo did. I used to like Rome, but he talks too much about old shows and his horses now.

For those of u who don't want to listen to WGR 550, I highly recommend satellite radio!

  5. My only issue with the league and the owners occurs when they hold cities & taxpayers hostage for new stadiums. The owners have all the leverage here, and we as fans pay the price all too willingly.

I love the Bills, the players, and even Ralph, but enough is enough!

Taxpayers should be left out of all scenarios!

  6. Did anyone else see this?

This guy could not complete a single sentence correctly. I understand you might be a little nervous, but I mean it was really, really bad.

If you are referring to his interview with Rich Eisen, Faulk, and I think, Mayock... I saw it.

Much to my surprise, I thought he was classy, humble, and showed his sense of humour. I'm not sure what was so bad about it. It looks to me like he's learning how to act and how not to act.

  7. Whaley has a history of drafting big defensive studs. And now Wannstedt is in the picture.

    Things are looking up.

It would seem that we will be focusing on getting better on defense this year by drafting the right playmaker... not necessarily drafting quantity.

Still, that might not mean we won't go offense in round 1.

Saw this article about Whaley & Pitt drafting and it gave me some hope:

"Pittsburgh does not draft more for defense than other teams. In fact, they probably draft for defense less. Since 2000, Pittsburgh has drafted for defense on just 30 out of 69 picks — or 43 percent. If you take the top three rounds, the Steelers have drafted for defense 50 percent — 13 of 26 — since 2000. They draft well, so they don’t have to keep re-tracing their steps on defense."

Whaley is in charge of PRO Personnel, and I believe that's what he helped run at Pittsburgh. Not sure how this translates to the draft.
