  1. It really looks like Maybin's gonna keep getting shut down all year so why not give him a chance at linebacker? At least he has speed to chase guys down and maybe prevent all these 30+ yard runs and he can still blitz at random and get actual sacks. Seems like a no-brainer.

    You are an absolute MORON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Bill Parcells’ Formula to drafting a College QB

    Senior with 3+ years of starting experience, 23+ wins, and a college graduate

    Players that fit this description for the 2010 Draft:

    Colt McCoy, Texas

    Dan LeFevour, Central Mich

    Max Hall, BYU

    Tim Tebow, Florida

    Todd Reesing, Kansas

    Riley Skinner, Wake Forest

    Zac Robinson, OK St (needs 3 more wins this season)

    Eric Ward, Richmond

    Armanti Edwards, Appalachian State

    Dominic Randolph, Holy Cross

    Derrick Fourroux, McNeese State

    Dan LeFevour, Central Mich is my choice http://espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=170586

  3. BC he is 20 pounds underweight. As of right now he is a big WR only and would be useless lined up next to the tackle.

    Now I know that TE's are more like WR's now and days-but not at his weight. My guess is teams are concerned about having to not only teach him the NFL game, but also get him to add 20(which is easier said than done-and retain skill set) is a daunting task.

    I love the pick-heres hoping...

    :thumbsup:

    I believe the Bills strength and conditioning coach also works with or knows enough about nutrition and diets to bulk him up along with Maybin. I think he will be allright and give the Bills a great TE for years to come.

  4. Buffalo has disregarded the OC positon since the days of Kent Hull and the result has been a consistent eyesore on every offensive line since. This year we now have OC/OG Hangartner who was 2nd string behind Ryan Kalil a second round pick and above average OC but not a top 10 center. This draft we have the opportunity to get a very SOLID center in Alex Mack or Eric Wood both of whom should surpass Kalil in their second year in the league. There may be 2 other OC candiates in the 3rd round who might be available but I see these top two as having the greatest potential with the least risk. I just hope the Bills brass anticiaptes this opportunity and picks one of those two players-both of whom can start at guard before sliding over to center. We could concievably trade down and take Mack with a later 1st round selection and get an additional second then go heavy D in the second round or hope Eric Wood falls to us in the second round-either way we need one of these young centers. The Bills lack of signing a veteran OG/OC outside of Hangartner leads me to think they may be thinking rationally on this issue whichis a little shocking, (compared to the last ten years of drafts lacking any logial OL pick).

    :thumbdown::lol::lol:

    How in the world can you make the staement: Alex Mack or Eric Wood both of whom should surpass Kalil in their second year in the league. Are you a soothe sayer ??????" Come on man ! Your blowing smoke !!! Take another SWAG.

  5. Everyone loves to opine on Trent Edwards' arm strength, so I'm just wondering if this perceived lack of throwing ability is something that can change with some measure of specialized training.

    It seems like this specific problem plagues some young QBs then goes away as they mature (Tom Brady), but with some it only gets progressively worse with the wear and tear of multiple NFL seasons (Chad Pennington). With TO on the team now and Marshawn expecting a suspension, it's not ridiculous to think there will be a bigger emphasis on the passing game, at least in the early stages of the season. So, what can Trent do to make his arm strength NOT a liability (if it is one). Anyone have any insights?

    :blink::unsure:

    get a new pair of gloves

  6. Here's the reality a lot of us are overlooking:

    If Jason Peter's doesn't want to be here he's not going to sign a new contract or any kind of extension. If he's destined to leave then we might as well get as much as humanly possible for him if someone else is interested. Sure we could franchise him next year but what if he plays like crap again this year. Then his value has depreciated immensely.

    We need to learn from what the Patriots do. Bellichek has no fear of jettisoning players if he has a solid plan that will make the team better. Bledsoe, Milloy, McGinnest, Vinateri, Vrabel, Cassell... the list goes on and on. What he is masterful at is getting maximum value for those players and drafting smart. When was the last time you remember the Pats having just 1 first round draft choice.

    If we're going to lose him after this year then get everything you can for him and sign an aging veteran cap casualty.

    Mike - great post i agree - get some picks and build your base through the draft - go orange

  7. I realize a number of you could give a :thumbsup: but Donte Whitner has posted some Videos to his FB page which are interesting.

    In one of them he has some furniture repair guys at his house fixing his bed and he challenged them to a game of Madden. What I think is great is that Donte plays the Bills and has already put TO on his team.

    How many of you have already done the same on Madden?

    Dufess :thumbsup:

  8. I believe we need Pettigrew at #11. When the weather gets cold and sloppy you need a tight end to help the running game. The other TE's might stretch the field better but you dont play in nice weather all year. Hopefully DE's Ayers or English might be available in round 2.

    Your polite comments are welcome. :D
