Mine is much higher for the Chiefs- because they are the hurdle keeping us out of the SB. Yes the Patriots won a lot, but lets be honest- we weren't a good team and it's not like we could have won the SB any of the drought years.

49ers should have given the the chiefs the ball in OT. Then they would have known exactly how many points they needed in OT

He didn’t wear out after the Dallas game. They started accounting for him because he destroyed Dallas.
This is part of it too. But he was performing great all year. I'm sure teams were ignoring him

Joe Marino made an interesting point which was that after DAL, he fell off a cliff across all metrics. Basically, Joe speculates that Cook who was never a high volume player, had basically worn out (which he also said could have contributed to his drops) late in the season.
That makes sense to me and I think having a 320 touch season under his belt and with another off season conditioning program this year, cook can come back even better.
I'm excited for him and what he can do for us next year.

I'm fine with our uniforms. In my opinion, we are top 7 or 8 in the NFL as far as uniform attractiveness is concerned...
...but I always though a black helmet with the blue charging buffalo would be sick.

Is Josh standing in a divot? He is taller than Brady, no?
I wondered the same thing. He's definitely not shorter in real life, so it just be a funny camera angle or something that we can't see going on. In the clip, Josh appears to be at least 2 inches shorter.

I think its tiers…
Josh Lamar Mahomes and Burrow are their own tier imo.
Then it’s Herbert (he’s close to those guys and will get there with Harbaugh)
Then its guys like Hurts, Stafford, Dak…Goff had a great year.
Then young guys who are on their way, Lawrence, Stroud, Love
Then its mid Tua, Purdy, Baker Mayfield…
And old guys who were elite Rodgers, Wilson.
And old guys who were meh Carr, Cousins etc.
All my opinions.
I like tiers too, but have a few quibbles.
Mahomes Josh And Burrow are tier 1 because they can take over games on their own when the going gets tough. For that reason, I can't include Lamar in this tier. But believe he belongs with Herbert in tier 2
Based on recent performance, I'd move Stroud and Love up one to tier 3.
I want to put Baker higher. I think he's very talented but just saddled with a bunch of unfortunate circumstances throughout his career. I think Baker gets the Dolphins farther that Tua does.
Edit: Lawrence is the most overrated QB in the league and for that he should be in his own category

While I agree that this has been the case up until now, it doesn't have to be the complete story.
As mad, frustrated and disappointed as I currently am, if we had a bit better luck with injuries, we could have beaten the Chiefs. The Pittsburg game mortally wounded us.
Our window is open as long as Allen is health, but we need to address WR immediately, get more consistency from our billion dollar Dline, and also figure what the hell is up with special teams. Very odd that we went from best to worse in one season.
Edit: want to add that although our D line didn't play great yesterday, they were really missing all their complimentary pieces since our LBers and secondary was so decimated. Still one sack in a huge moment could have changed this game.

Diggs, Martin and Bass were awful.
I liked some of the gutsy calls by McD
I don't know of Bass is fixable

Injuries killing us and making it easy for KC

I think the better poll would be can the Bills win if...
- they are -1 in the turnover differential (yes / no)
- they are -2 in the turnover differential (yes / no)
- they are -3 in the turnover differential (yes / no)
It's a more more comprehensive question. Josh could have 3 INT's but if KC commits 4 turnovers, we still likely win.

Ravens
Chiefs (too many injuries on defense for Buffalo to overcome unfortunately- but the Bills put up a tough fight)
Lions
49ers
Chiefs VS 49ers in the SB
Who is that guy on here who's been having the repeated dream of a 40 something to 20 somethings Bills over Lions Superbowl victory. I like his scenario much better than mine and hope it comes to be!

Lamar's numbers in his 4 playoff games:
4 TDs
5 INTs
19 sacks
56% completion rate
68 QB Rating
Those aren't even replacement level numbers. Certainly aren't franchise QB numbers. Maybe practice squad level QB numbers.
IMO, Ravens have a good chance of being one and done and if they win, willing to bet it's more because of their defense than Lamar.
When the stakes are highest, Lamar is at his worst.
Nothing you said is wrong, but past performance doesn't guarantee future results.
Unfortunately, I think it will be hard for us to get past our injuries this week, but if we do (and don't see any more of our guys lost to injuries), then I will feel very good about facing either the Ravens or Texans. Since 2019, we've always played the Ravens very well (only loss being in '19 before Josh's breakout). The games have been hard fought but we've prevailed and I think we could this year too. Would like our chances even better if the game was in Buffalo, but alas...
If the Texans win, then I definitely like our chances facing them as a warm weather dome team in blustery Orchard Park with their rookie HC and QB combo (even though I think they are both very talented ).

You can’t make this ***** up! LMFAO!
Who is Squirrel?

Having an open stadium presents logistical challenges when the weather turns, but overall I still say it is a competitive advantage as long as we have a QB like Josh. Tell me that if we beat the chiefs and the the Texans knock off the Ravens, that paying a warm weather dome team in Orchard Park doesn't get you excited. If that scenario plays out, it's a huge Buffalo advantage.

Ravens (Consistently a high performing team, no glaring weakness)
49ers
Chiefs (healthier than Buffalo)
Bills (I'd love to rate them higher, but they have injuries galore. That said, we are resilient and have JA17)
Lions (Nice offense and I really like Dan Campbel)
Texans
Packers
Bucs
If I had to group these teams in tiers it would be:
Ravens & 49ers
Chiefs, Bills & Lions
Texans & Packers
Bucs

I'm getting very nervous and feel like I want to throw up. I think we will probably win, but sense that it will be way too close for comfort.

If McDermott doesn’t get it done, would the Bills bring in Shanahan if he left SF after next season?

Shanahan was the single biggest reason why the 49ers just lost the SB. His play calling in the 3rd quarter was awful allowing the Chiefs to build momentum and get back into the game. He also should have deferred the ball in overtime.
Shanny's performance in the SB this year was much worse then 13 seconds. It should be an NFL case study in how NOT to coach in big games.
