  1. In the NFL there are no lovable losers unless you're losing the big one, if you're an annual basement dweller you're not a lovable loser you're just a loser. Peyton Manning was a lovable loser until 06, Marino and Elway were for most of their careers, the Bills used to be lovable losers, the Vikings, etc. Does anyone think the Lions are lovable losers? or the Browns, or the Bills, or the Chiefs? No they're just losers with nothing to love about them unless you're from their respective cities.

  2. Dungy as HC with an actual GM (like Floyd Reese or someone like him) would be my dream scenario. I don't really want Cowher or Shanahan as Coach and GM. I think it is pretty well proven that one person cannot do both roles and do them well.

Give me Reese and Dungy and I would be thrilled. But then we'd have Vick, not too sure about that.

    Floyd Reese is ours

  3. Based on a Rob Johnson type 1 game showcase, it looks like the only hope for success, after this week's benchings of Russell & Trent, is Kevin Kolb. Here is the QB draft class of 2007 *-already cut by the team that drafted him

    1st rd: Russell, Quinn

    2nd rd: Kolb, Beck*, Stanton

    3rd rd: Edwards

    4th rd: Stanback (WR)*

    5th rd: Rowe*, Smith

    6th rd: J. Palmer*

    7th rd: Thigpen*

Stanback played almost every offensive snap for us against the colts last week after we elevated him from the ps and had a few catches.

  4. Holmgren would certainly be an upgrade but he's probably overrated as a GM.

    -Trading for Deion Branch

-Giving bad contracts to Burleson, Shawn Alexander

-1st Rounders like Chris McIntosh, Koren Robinson, Kelly Jennings, Jeremy Stevens, Marcus Tubbs

He does seem to be able to identify good quarterbacks though.

Actually he was relieved of his gm duties in 02 so he didn't draft stevens, or tubbs and didn't sign burleson or alexander or trade for branch.

He did draft some pretty good players hutchinson, alexander, etc. He's a middle of the road GM but better than anything the Bills have had recently.
