  1. Paul Allen owns the Seattle Seahawks and Portland Trailblazers...different states.

Allen was allowed to buy the team despite owning the NBA's Trail Blazers since Portland, Oregon doesn't have an NFL team. (NFL rules prohibit team owners from either outright ownership or a majority share of another sports team outside its home market if they play in the same city as another NFL team

NEW YORK, Dec 1 (Reuters) - Two Los Angeles groups have inquired about moving the Minnesota Vikings National Football League team to California, a Vikings official said.

The NFL currently does not have a team in Los Angeles, the nation’s second biggest market, but the Vikings said they had fielded inquiries.

“We have been approached by two different groups in Los Angeles - the Ed Roski group and more recently by former (Minnesota) Timberwolves CEO Tim Leiweke and AEG,” Vikings vice president of stadium development and public affairs Lester Bagley said on the team’s website (vikings.com).

But Bagley said the Vikings did not have any plans to move from Minnesota and were focussing instead on building a world-class facility in the midwestern state.

“We feel solid momentum and feel we’re well-positioned with the new legislature and governor,” Bagley said in a question-and-answer chat.

The Vikings are in the final year of their lease with the aging Metrodome, their domed stadium in downtown Minneapolis.

Bagley said team owner Zygi Wilf and Vikings management had toured the LA Live entertainment complex in 2009 while at an NFL owners’ meeting. The Vikings were trying to get ideas on building a similar sports/entertainment district in Minnesota, he said.

Roski’s group has plans for an $800 million stadium project in the City of Industry, a Los Angeles suburb.

Leiweke and sports-entertainment group AEG have proposed building a privately financed billion dollar stadium next to the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles has been without an NFL team since the Raiders and Rams left following the 1994 season. The Raiders relocated to Oakland and the Rams moved to St. Louis.

  3. Beckham accused of affair with $10K-a-night hooker

David Beckham’s storybook romance to wife Victoria has been hit with an explosive cheating accusation. In an exclusive interview with In Touch Weekly, a former “high-class call girl” named Irma Nici spills the dirty details of an affair with the married soccer star, in which she claims to have slept with him five times in 2007. “It was a high,” Nici, 26, admits to the magazine. “All of these women dream of being with him, and I got to hook up with him. It was very exciting.” A rep for Beckham, 35, was quick to shoot down the cheating story Wednesday morning, telling UsMagazine.com that the allegations “are completely untrue and totally ridiculous, as the magazine was clearly told before publication.” According to In Touch, Nici claims Beckham agreed to pay her $10,000 to spend one night together during their alleged affair. — NY Daily News

With Victoria Beckham at home, and being one of the most desirable men in the world, wtf if he doing paying 10K a night for some skank?!?!

  4. as much as it would hurt for them to leave, that almost seems like a better idea then having to put up with this team any longer. they are/have been a heartless, completley dis-interesting and un-watchable for 10 years. when i was a kid i used to look forward to sundays. now i cant bear to sit through a full game. yesterday was the very first time in my life that i stopped watching a bills game in the second quarter. i looked at the other people in the room and we all decided to watch a different game. we all as bills fans deserve better for sticking with this team in good times and bad, but the bad far outweighs the good.

  5. Steelers looking for more QB help — 10:56 a.m.

The Pittsburgh Steelers only have two quarterbacks currently on their 53-man roster. Because of that, the team is scheduled to work out free agent QB Levi Brown early this week, a source confirmed.

Dennis Dixon, who started the first two games, suffered a sprained knee during Sunday’s victory at the Tennessee Titans. Charlie Batch, who replaced him, is the only healthy quarterback. Starter Ben Roethlisberger has two more games to serve on his four-game suspension. The team released QB Byron Leftwich on Saturday, but he’s expected to re-sign some time on Monday.

Brown, who was selected in the seventh-round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, also worked out for the New York Giants last week.

  6. its not like there was a lack of effort, they just arent very good. we all knew this coming into the season so i dont know why its a surprise to some of you. why shouldnt he smile? guys the truth is we as fans care way more about our teams than the players do. of course they want to win, and care if they lose but they dont let wins and loses consume their lives like we do. their whole life isnt out on the field. its a job to them not an obssession like it is to us.

  10. i like boise state as much as the next guy. the problem i have with them this year is that they are ranked in the preseason top 5. before this season they have always been under-rated and always exceeded everyones expectations. now they have a bullseye on their backs and the hardest thing to do is win when youre expected to win.

no way oregon wins the pac-10 without masoli.

    ACC - Florida State

    SEC - Alabama

    Big 10 - Ohio State

    Pac 10 - UCLA / Oregon State

    Big 12 - Oklahoma

    Big East - Pittsburgh

  11. They don't have a running game and Pryor can't pass to win. When both of those things went wrong last year they either lost or struggled vs much lesser opponents (Navy,Purdue, Mich) They have Wisconsin and Iowa on the road. Miami is going to go in there and beat them by 10.

right because terrell pryor didnt almost single handedly beatdown oregon in the rose bowl...

National Championship - Ohio State v Oklahoma

    Heisman - Christian Ponder

    Surprise Team - Florida State

#1 Pick in the Draft - Robert Quinn, DE, North Carolina
