I feel like that may be the one. It was the Raiders though as Gault had gone to Oakland by 90. Appreciate it.

I remember that play and series.  I believe it was a Sunday night game on TNT.

If you watch the preceding play, Odoms leads Gault out of bounds and he's watching how Gault is holding the ball.  Next play he strips the ball and runs it back for the TD.

    • Awesome! (+1) 1
  2. Let's have EJ run the offense up until the redzone and bring Orton in as the 'closer'?

Pittsburgh actually did this back in the 90's. I believe it was Tommy Maddox (or maybe O'Donnell) 'between the 20's' then Kordell Stewart once in the red zone. It was very strange and I don't recall if it really worked very well but they would change QBs once they got into the red zone.

  3. He forgot the other cliches:

"They are a great team and we just happened to win today"

    "He gives 110%"

"We just have to take it one game at a time"

"We came out a little more focused this game knowing there was no tomorrow"

"We have come together as a team"

"It's hard to win in the NFL." :)

  4. Because...............

I stuck with my winning streak game-day ritual.

    1. Close shave while listing to the Jambrones Amish Rifle on iPhone Youtube over and over and over

    2. Wear specific blue t-shirt (not Bills logo'd) jeans and beat up Reeboks

    3. Walk dogs in park but skip the dog park

    4. Use older laptop running XP for shoutbox and iPhone for texting family and friends

    5. No bills gear of any kind

    6. One cup of hot black coffee and 2 regular donuts

    7. Fire up DTV Sunday Ticket at 9:48 AM to minimize pre-game blather.

    So far, 3-0!!!! ;-)

  5. Is Gilroy where the Garlic festival is? My daughter goes to CSUMB and I have driven thru Gilroy a few times. Should I hit the festival ? It sounds like fun!

Missed your post, sorry. Fest is the last full weekend in July so next year if you're out here and like things with lots of garlic, it is a good time. Can get crowded Friday is the best day for smaller crowds (referred to as "locals day").

  6. No Buffalo food but the food there is excellent.

The theme is a British Sports Pub and they serve tavern fare… awesome burgers, outstanding fish frys, some British foods like Shephard's Pie and also Bangers (a type of sausage) and mashed potatoes.

A very nice selection of beer is served in frosted mugs.

I used to hang out with the SJ Backers at High 5 Pizza and then the Alamaden Ale House. Ale House was great they had excellent wings and we kind of owned the place on Sundays. Now in Gilroy I have the ticket and stay home.

Does kevin nawotka still go there to Britannia Arms? He was such a crackup, little round guy from Lackawana or Cheektowaga who has a PhD in Microbiology. Lot of characters in that group.
