  1. I work in a line of business where I need to watch people body language for my own security, ive learned how to read people very well. My reaction to that airport video.....hes signed sealed and will be delivered to us later today! This is once in a lifetime opportunity for this man he wants his soon to be wife there with him.

Id be shocked if I was wrong. In my line of business I have not been wrong yet. I hate putting my rep on the line like this, but I do fell strongly about what I have said!

So take it for what its worth!

Really appreciate your insight on this - Hope U R right!

  2. FWIW...shortly before 5:00PM today:

    - ESPN's 'NFL Live' said the Bears were moving on from Mario Williams.

    - On NFL Network, Jason LaCanfora & Mike Lombardi were talking to Rich Eisen. Lombardi said that "obviously Buffalo is now in the driver's seat and it would take something for them to mess it up not to get Mario Williams as they bring him on a visit. The visit really is just about getting a deal done...it's really not about, 'hey, we're gonna check it out, how's the locker room, what's the field look like', it's about money and it's about signing a contract." Eisen then proceeded to so, "So...you think Mario Williams will eventually wind up a Buffalo Bill?" Lombardi: "I think if somebody else doesn't come in...I think the one thing announcing you're going on a visit does to all the other teams, it alerts them that they could potentially sign...it's an advertisement for you to find out as an agent to see if someone else might be actually coming up to cough up the coin. But once the price is established, a lot of teams say, 'wait a minute..hold on...we're out on that one, we need to go somewhere else.' So I think, ultimately, the first visit is usually the best one." LaCanfora agreed. Here's to hoping they're right!

Very encouraging - Thanks for the details!

  3. This test cant be right, it was way too easy. Any high school student planning on taking the SAT should be able to get a 50.

Sure, most high school kids are really smart and can answer word problems involving math. I respectfully disagree. These questions are "easy" for many of us and easier than many SAT questions. However, that does not mean "any high school kids planning on taking the SAT should be able to get a 50 [perfect score]"

  4. They don't actually lower their power. They switch to a north-south directional pattern at night. One big selling point on WGR for the Bills might be their excellent signal in Toronto.

WGR daytime coverage (In the day, WGR is listenable to the purple contour.)

WGR nightime coverage (At night WGR is almost unlistenable outside the red.)

    PTR

This is probably a really dumb question, but why do they change their directional pattern at night? Some sort of cost savings at night?

  5. Stevie will be OK IMO

The bills have to get him some help at WR, worrying about TD celebrations is the least of the Bills problems.

I agree to some extent but they do need to make sure there are no more distractions/stupid penalties (the whole thing has gotten blown out of proportion - seems to me though it needs to be addressed and perhaps could be handled by some clever language in the contract).

  6. Boy, your diction is lacking.

Nothing in my post was "sarcastic." Sardonic, perhaps. Certainly snarky. But sarcastic? Hell No. I meant every word I said.

I think it could certainly be argued that "That's one HELL of an allusion" was a sarcastic statement, no? I have no dog in this fight but felt the other guy was being unfairly maligned by you.

  7. I like Chan. He answers questions like a man. He is a football junkie. His team was at least more fun to watch than Jaurons.

But it's hard to say he hasn't lost the team. We knew this was a rebuilding process but he keeps bring him "his guys" and Georgia Tech cast-offs because his offense is so complicated to learn. It doesn't seem so difficult to me... Dink and dunk. Throw short on 3rd and long. Throw long and 3rd and short. Defense is a disaster. Buddy and Chan aren't the guys to build a super bowl winner. Get a Mike Tomlin tough guy in here.

The bolded part cracked me up! Totally agree, although I might give Chan one more year assuming Edwards is kicked to the curb.

  8. After yesterday's game, his average is 4.5 yards per carry which puts him fairly high on the list of RBs. He is nowhere near a bust but the victim of circumstances - If it weren't for Freddy's shadow, he would be viewed a lot differently. Also, unlike Freddy, he has too many short gains or losses which causes you to scratch your head and think WTF . . . and then he'll break one. The lack of creativity re playcalling also has hurt him and the offense generally - Third and short, why throw a 30-40 yard, low probability pass? I am not a huge fan of CJ, but the folks calling for his head are way off, in my view.

  9. You go ahead and live by stats alone. The Chargers were the #1 offense and #1 defense in 2010 and didn't make the playoffs. Stats are overrated and just something for people that don't really know the game to judge things buy. Evans has been hurt this year, but if you were stretching to prove your point, you would know that has nothing to do with last season.

So you think the QB rating is overrated? Come on - Don't be so black and white on this - Stats are very useful when put into context and not treated as the "end all and be all" of the discussion.
