  1. I hope many Bills fans will be coming to Canton this weekend. I grew up in Buffalo but now reside in Canton. Despite the distance, I still go to at least one game every year (and always attend a Bills/Browns game). Canton should be alive with Bills fans this weekend. As a fan, there is nothing better than to take over a town during an away game. If anyone is interested, there are two restaurants/bars in town that cater to Bills fans. Lobys on Hills and Dales and the Tilted Kilt on Dressler. Both have a ton of TV's, plenty of Bills fans, and really attractive staff. The food at Lobys is outstanding and thy have a ton o live entertainment this weekend. I hope to see some of you this weekend. Let's Kick off the Sammy Watkins Era in style. Go Bills!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. The owners of Loby's will provide any Bills fan there first beer for free this weekend.
  2. Does anyone else feel like wannstadt killed us today. Sanchez lives by the short pass, yet we sat in soft zone with free safety 20 yards off the ball. Why bother. I never saw much in the way of stunts or blitz pacakage at all. It really felt like it was a straight vanilla package on defense today....and as the game got away from us, he had zero solutions. He needs to step up and quick. Maybe start with finding a way to get pressure up the middle.
  3. I love it. Grew up in williamsville and have lived in canton for 16 years. P.s. Loby's has a tailgate party before tomorrows game. The place is jamming with Bills fans right now. Show up and your first beer is on me. Go bills!!!
  4. Loby's is located straight down the street from the Hall of Fame. Approx. 1.2 miles away. Fulton to Hills and Dales. Lobys is located at 4736 Hills & Dales Rd. You will not be disappointed with Loby's. Its a great bar....similar to Brennans in Buffalo.
  5. As the head of the Canton, Ohio Bills Backers Club, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to any Bills fans who will be visiting Canton over the course of the next 10 days. If you are interested, the Canton Bills Backers have a great home at Loby's Grille, which is conveniently located about a mile down the road from the Hall Of Fame. They have specials running all week (25cent wings), cheap drinks, beautiful bartenders, and the best outdoor patio bar in Canton. I also have extra tickets for the game and would be more than willing to provide advice as to things to do in Canton, places to stay, etc...... Hope all goes well for us this season and looking forward again to the sounds of Buffalo Bills football.
  6. I have lived in Canton for the past 16 years, but grew up in Buffalo and still actively follow the Bills. Couple thoughts about the game: (1) Get hotel rooms ASAP. World Series of Golf is the same weekend in Akron (20 minutes away) and hotel rooms will be at a premium, (2) the game has not yet sold out....but it certainly will. Scalping tickets is also fairly easy....although with Rod Woodson also being inducted, a huge influx of Steeler fans will be in attendance (Pittsburgh is 2 hours away) and prices might be higher than usual, (3)Bars stay open until 2am. I would highly suggest Loby's Bar and Grille. Its about 2 miles from Hall of Fame, has great food (especially wings), Labatts on tap, hot bartenders, an outside bar where smoking is allowed, and is the home for the local Bills Backers Club......which means they will definitely have some Buffalo flavored promotions going on at the Bar that weekend.
  7. As a Canton resident and life long Bills fan, (as well as the nominal head of the Canton Bills Backers Club), I would like to know if there would be significant interest in a Buffalo themed party in the Canton area the weekend of the HOF Enshrinement Ceremonies. Specifically, there is a great sports bar ("Loby's) in a shopping Center that may be interested in putting on an event for everyone from Buffalo (or that loves the Bills) that tracks on down for the HOF weekend. Any thoughts on what you would be intereted in (bands, Bills alumni, contests, etc....) and/or that you think would be appropriate for such an occasssion? (This might be the last time we see a Bill inducted for quite some time, so I think it appropriate to plan big!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. You will actually want to stay in the Belden Village area. Its one exit north of the Hall of Fame and its the main location for restraunts and bars in the Canton area. There are plenty of hotels (Holiday Inn, Radison, Days Inn, etc...). If Canton has an upscale area, this would be it. I'm orignally from Buffalo, but have lived in the Canton area for the past 15 years. If you need any specific local information, please let me know. By the way, get your hotel ASAP. Hotel space has been very difficult to get the past few years b/c the HOF ceremony has been scheduled for the same weekend as the Firestone Golf Tournament in Akron (20 minutes HOF). If you've never been to a golf tournament, its worth the experience to see many of the worlds top players in a condensed field. If you are looking for luxury accomodations, try Glenmoor Country Club. They have hotel rooms that may be available and its usually where most of the golfers stay for the tournament.
  9. As a former resident of Buffalo, as well as a first time poster to this site, I was wondering if anyone has any advise with regard to starting a new Bills Backers Club. I live in Canton, Ohio and would love to get together with other Bills fans to watch games, the draft, HOF Inductions, etc..... (ie...looking forward to welcoming B. Smith and A. Reed to Canton soon). I know there is a Bills Backers Club in nearby Akron, but I'd like to start something a little closer to home. Any help would be appreciated.
