If we just let him walk at the end of the season and he signs the kind of deal he's looking for, what round are we looking at for the comp pick? Seems to me that might be a good option?

While he unfortunately doesn't seem to have the kind of long ball instincts you want in a speedster, I agree he is improving. For a track star he plays with a lot of intensity and he is a fairly physical runner for his size once he has the ball in hand.

So, with 4 days extra rest after the previous game, he is suddenly feeling well enough to play. Sounds to me like national television was the "healing agent" here. While Marrone's short week argument surely weighed into the decision to sit him, I bet the bigger reason is not letting Byrd get his way.

Bills CB Stephon Gilmore to miss about eight weeks with a hand/wrist issue. Tough one there but hope is he only misses 5-6 games or so.

Agree with the poster who said it's not that we won, but how. We seemed energized, disciplined, and confident, which seems like a direct reflection of our coaches. I am extremely excited for the season.
Anyone remember last year's first preseason game, when Gailey hadn't even finished installing the offense, and we just did run play after run play?

TBD needs some sort of script that replaces the words "bleacher report" with "some random guy" every time it's typed.

its odd to me that he went so far as to say one of the best schematically in the league if its all on the coaches. several players have come out blaming the players....
i dunno. guessing at what happens behind closed doors can be tough but something is certainly up.
Kyle Williams alluded to 'some people not doing their jobs' referring to players...wonder who he is talking about?

Not to mention the sideline pass call that led to the INT. I was actually happy with Gailey's offensive game plan, and then they just crap the bed. Why suddenly abandon what is working, and go to Fitz's most glaring weakness on a crucial first down?2) No mention of the last Bills play? 4th and 2, one timeout left, a solid running game, one of the least accurate passers in the game today and Gailey calls a 20 yard pass? I was wondering if Fitz would hand it off or run it himself and I was speechless as the play unfolded. -
I would say Lee looked like felt he disappointed Chan a lot more than the other guy did with his coach, despite the yelling. Chan didn't need to yell at him. Better to just leave it at "you're smarter than that."

My guess is that since you don't have to have both hands on the ball to have possession (ie. a one-handed catch), they rationalized that he was gripping the ball with his left hand the whole time (that hand does appear to contact the ball at the same time as the defender gets both hands on it). You can't really see the left hand on the replay, which is probably why it wasn't overturned. Just my guess, anyway.
Sure looked like an INT though!
