  1. Out of all the quarterbacks coming out, the only one i can see as a true NFL quarterback--at least for our team-- is Clauson. His offensive line is terrible, he constantly faces pressure--unlike many of the other QB's-- and is still successful. he runs a pro-style offense, so he should make a good transition to the pros. I just feel that he could be and immediate impact.

  2. Yep, that's one of the plays - which proves the point that it's not all Mckelvin's fault. Other players made mistakes that contributed to the loss.

Of course, the pats still had 3 time outs and the Bills needed to get a first down otherwise Brady was going to get another shot - so it still wasn't a given the Bills win if he doesn't fumble (if it was that much of a certainty the Pats would not have kicked it deep, they would have gone for the onside kick...)

it wasn't a given that the bill wouldn't have picked up the first down, i would take our offense against the patriots defense any day rather than the other way around.

other players definately made mistakes but mckelvins was the worst of them all and AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME.

  3. You are right, good teams make stops, no excuses. If youa re going to make an excuse because of injuries, you can't blame McKelvin for fumbling because you are basically laying blame on Poz and kelsay (a uy who sucks so bad everyone wanted him cut with Denney) being hurt.

I'm not saying McKelvin is not partially at fault for the loss, his fumble didn't help, but the team still had a chance to win after that play and they couldn't do it against arguably one of the best QB's in the game, and a team thats a yearly SB favorite

im not mad that they lost, im mad at how they lost. we should have never needed to drive down the field in the first place, the patriots gave the game to us by kicking off and we gave it right back to them

  4. Had the D kept the Pats out of the end zone on either of the last 2 drives the Bills win. Had Edwards moved the Bills down field into FG range the Bills win. Had numerous other mistakes (dropped passes, drive killing penalties) not been made earlier the game might not have even been within reach.

How hard is that to understand?

NM, go back to your simplistic view that it's all McKelvin's fault if that makes you feel better.

had McKelvin not fumbled the bills win.

see i can play this game too!

  5. Sorry, I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not. If you are, like I said, Leodis's fumble was a turning point. The D hangs on and keeps the Pats from scoring and the Bills win, The offence drives down the field with 50 seconds left and they kick a FG the Bills win. The game was still winable when the fumble happened, and the Bills still had the lead.

like i said in my original post, i don't hate him and i am not screaming to cut him, i just think he needs to know that he screwed up and as long as he learns from it and comes out with fire in his stomach, than i have no problems.

but come on, good teams make stops, yeah okay, lets put a defense with a 2nd string linebacker on a short field and see if they can stop them. it wasn't like they were in the redzone and we could cover the recievers better, they scored from 20 yards out on each of those two touchdowns

  6. So after McKelvin fumbled, Dick pulled the entire D off the field except for him and he alone gave up the 32 yards for a touchdown?

    Keep grasping at straws.

why is it so hard to grasp the concept of a turnover. we TURNED it OVER on a short field. now had we not TURNED it OVER we would have won the game...you get it now?

class dismissed i need to go over the lesson plan for the 1st graders now.

  7. Because its easier and it makes them feel better.

McKelvin fumbling was a turning point, but the Bills still had the lead at that point. Why don't we blame Trent or the oline for getting sacked on 3rd with less then 30 seconds? or Edwards toss to the TE up the middle on the last play of the game when the only way to win is a TD?

great job on giving examples that happened after mckelvin screwed up

  8. I really want to see this offense without the stupid penalties and lynch in the back field. The offense looked good out there and the pass protect was better than I thought it was going to be.

Two Things I want to see

    1. more deep routes for both evans and T.O.

    2. Trent edwards needs more big plays. He just needs to take chances down the field so he gets more comfortable throwing the ball

i can agree with that, the penalties killed us tonight but i thought the first roughing the passer penalty they called on Wilfork was stupid, but ill take 15 yards anyday

  9. the refs sucked and bell had too many costly penalties...definately does contribute, but make no mistake WE LOST THIS GAME BECAUSE OF MCKELVIN!

why is it not okay to blame him, its not like i'm going to hold it against him forever, i know how much talent he has and i know the he never meant to fumble but the fact still remains...he did fumble. I would rather he know that he was the reason we lost this game and learn from it. nobody wants to feel like he does right now and i want him to remember that for next time. nobody is gonna hold a grudge(at least not 48 hours from now) and i certainly don't hate him. he needs to take responsibility for his screw up and not buy into "were a team crap". when you mess up like that you need to challange yourself to not do it again and come out of the situation with something.

for the record i blame McKelvin. he was trying to make a play, just at the wrong time. i'm not gonna sit here and convince myself, "well if we did this at this point we never would have been in that situation" and i'm not gonna baby McKelvin either, but what he, and everyone else needs to realize is that its over and done with. play harder next week and you redeem yourself in my mind.

He messed up, one play one game. get over it and move on.

  10. Excellent Garcia. Thanks. Have you heard the Graham Parsons/Flying Burritos version? Something else again, but not on YouTube.

I haven't changed since my day one. If this Kindergarten bans me, it merely reflects their lack of heuvos, and your little bunch's "feminine-like" ability to persistently whine. I will not break the TOS, so get creative. I've been around the block in the Big League for many years. I just like to catalyze the exchange of ideas, and watch them flow.

can you please just shut the hell up. nobody cares about your poems or your romeo and juliet reverences because it has nothing to do with anything and makes you seem like a flaming homosexual.

  11. I see it here so often...dozens of threads a year, maybe more....ESPN snubbed us...love us...talk about us...please Colin Cownerd, please VALIDATE my team...as of they are the authority...please tell me how good the Bills are...how dangerous they can be etc...I NEED this to show that my team matters..

Please...I really want to get into the psyche of the Bills fan here who watches ESPN all the time, craving for that validation from Mike and Mike, or Colin Cowherd, or whomever...why does this matter so much? Why is it important for sports people in the middle of nowhere in Connecticut to tell us how good we are, or give us attention?

You want attention? Win games. You want Mort at your camp? Win games. You want ESPN to talk to you BESIDES T.O? Win games. They have NOT done that in 9 years. Without T.O, we are as compelling nationally as the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA...sorry to say.

    Explain.

P.S. And I know most of you will come here and say, eh I never watch ESPN, but yet you know EXACTLY what they talk about...let's just come clean here: We all watch ESPN, for better or for worse.

thanks for insulting everyone here by the way, feel free to leave at any time. i really could care less about ESPN but i do understand the whole concept of recieving some respect as an actual national football league team every once in a while. I guess a fan turning on the t.v. and catching the last part of what a respected(in some cases undeserving) analyst has to say about there favorite team just pisses you off huh. i have heard a lot of those threads too and i really don't let them get me so angry i need to waste everyone elses time on another pointless thread. the whole point you are trying to make about pointless threads was voided the minute you made this one.

is it bad to want some attention? even in the early 90's we never had great media coverage, in 04 we had the best defense in the league and still nothing. it took a TE on special teams to break his freaking neck before we ever got into the media for anything more than 2 min, and even then it was all about the doctors. now we have an eventual hall of fame reciever on our team and people realize that we may actually get some recognition, and when we don't or its recognition in a negative light, fans get upset...WOW...NEVER THOUGHT THAT WOULD HAPPEN!

  12. I think steve tasker could also be considered underrated. if you start to talk about who is a great special teams player he will rarely come up outside of this board and is not even mentioned in regular NFL conversations. in my mind he was the best special teams player ever(including hester) and i feel that he is overlooked to often because he brought so much to the 90's team in terms of intensity and setting the tempo of the game(physically). there were many times(the game vs the raiders comes to mind where he returned it to the 1) that he has jump-started the bills when they may have had a few lackluster drives. plus how many special teams players are the mvp of the pro-bowl?

  13. i am against the move because TO is such an !@#$ but i am beginning to see the potential light at the end of the tunnel.

we all know ralph is too cheap to can a coach with 2+ years remaining on his contract so this is what must happen. TO throws hissy fits when things don't go his way and pouts so much and so loud that it becomes too much for jauron to take, so much so that jauron resigns. in the end, it would be worth it

this is probably the most negative post on here. first you say TO is an !@#$ even though you don't know him and there is probably information that most don't know about each of his previous teams(thats not to say that owens is not a disturbance but to call someone an !@#$ based on that is stupid). you then go on about how much ralph is a cheapskate throw in some crappy scenario that you think will happen and top it all off with the fact that you think this is the "silver lining". THIS IS THE EQUIVALENT OF A SKOOBY THREAD!

do i think jauron is a good coach...i don't know. has he made some bad calls...i guess but when you think of all the weird things(in terms of bad draft picks and injury) i would say he could have done worse. sure we were 4-0 last year, but i think us tanking it was more because of the fact that edwards was injured and losman played :D and the year before that i believe we had like 17 guys on IR or some rediculous thing. even though we have had three 7-9 seasons i don't believe that firing him is the answer because where does it end, phillips, williams maularki(spelled wrong don't care)...where does it end. having said that i believe that jauron definately needs to show improvement now that those excuses are a thing of the past because i think we have a legitemate playoff roster and if we don't get in or are at least competitive, i would start looking elsewhere in the coaching dept.

  14. If you or someone you know has sleep apnea you would understand how Bruce may have passed out or fallen asleep at wheel or during an interview. Its a serious disease

do you even know what sleep apnea is? because its not randomly falling asleep or passing out, that has nothing to do with sleep apnea.

  15. one of the things the Colts did was imploy TE's that they also line up as WRs depening on the defensive package. If the defense is in a nickel the Colts line the TE on the line of scrimmage and run and if the defense lines up in a standard defense they line the TE up as a WR creating mismtaches based on personal...they do this throughout the game and not just for a few plays

the Colts also line up at the line of scrimmage and have 3 plays sent in with Peyton deciding which one to run after reading the defense

true, dallas clark is faster and quicker than metzlarz and McKeller even though McKeller was stronger and seemed to knock heads when tackled. IMO though this is just a variation of the no-huddle and with the "true" fullback no longer really existing you can draft guys like Cooley (redskins) and still have 4 wide with a single backfield. its not a necessity to have the athletic tight ends because "true" tight ends are still being used effectively in the NFL today where as its better for a team to have a pass catching fullback. personally i would rather have the pass catching full back like cooley and have an extra blocker up on the line who occasionally can run routes but thats just me.
