  1. Same boat, became a fan during the drought years.  I don't think I'll ever lose the sense of surprise when they win a game.  The good part of that is that I feel genuine joy when we do something like when a regular season game against the Jets.

Awesome thanks! Will they stay open for the whole game?

We usually meet at crossroads but it says they close at 9 and I don't want to have to deal with any nonsense at the end of the game lol

They’ll definitely be open the whole game.  It’s a couple miles away from Ithaca in Lansing.

If you’d rather be downtown there’s also Uncle Joe’s which is technically a Packers bar but you’ll obviously find no shortage of Bills fans.

This is just the latest bull crap they are coming up with trying to discredit Allen, his ability, and the fact he is an elite QB in the NFL. In the beginning he was too erratic. Then is was he's too careless with the football. Then it was he's good, but "sugar high" will ruin everything. Then it's back to the turnovers ruining everything. Now it's not only the turnovers and the "hero ball", but it's the fake slides and the flopping. I can't ever remember a QB they tried SO HARD to discredit, or run down at every turn, and this is in spite of the NUMEROUS records he is setting on the field for total TD's, total yards, and things of the like.

They slobber all over guys like Mahomes (who is a great QB and he has 2 rings), Lamar, Hurts, Burrow, and Tua. They make excuses for them at every turn. But with Josh, it's mainly the negatives they push to the forefront despite the greatness you see on the field if you actually watch him. It's absolutely personal with some of the bobbleheads you see on TV. Either way, I'm sure it just fuels the fire in Josh. Makes him want to succeed that much more.

Almost everyone in the sports media has receipts predicting he would bust and they're determined to retcon that they were right.

Right but the season isn’t over. Let’s just say that something bad happens, the unthinkable happens, do you think anyone is going to remember the previous 6 wins? Do you think that after a career crushing loss, people will view that as the team rallying to their coach?

I think as fans we should be mentally prepared for all possible outcomes. This would be #4. I mean, he’s already done it 3 out of 3 times. The following day people would be calling him Marv 2.0 for Christ’s sake.

You’re being dramatic.  “The unthinkable”?  One of two good teams is going to lose a football game.  Neither result is unthinkable.

Also, yeah, fans tend to only remember the last thing that happened.  That’s why you put more reasonable objective decision makers at the switches.

  5. Watched this episode yesterday.  McDaniel handled things all wrong as a leader.  Grown men know when they’re being lied to.

“The cold is just a mindset and you’ll enjoy being tackled on cement” is just fake rah rah stuff and he doesn’t even sell it well.

I started to worry that Elam was soft.

Him getting run over on his INT drive was embarassing. Then the WR verbally violating him after the PI.

Suddenly him being a good 'note-taker' at interview seemed to make sense. Maybe he's a classy thinker, with good hands ... but a bit of a 😽 when playing with the men.

I'm reading a lot into a small bit of data there though. But if he is a softie, it would explain why he's not making his mark in the NFL despite clearly having game. Guts aren't something you can coach.

This is definitely reading in too much, but there's no denying he's a poor tackler with a bad feel for zone concepts.  A terrible first round pick but Beane balanced it by finding an absolute steal in Benford.

But all of that is kind of irrelevant now.  What we need from Elam is to be a good backup and make a play or two and he accomplished that yesterday.

I wish the Bills/Chiefs game was up first. Obviously, I'll hope the Texans win so it gives the Bills the home AFCCG if they win. But if I knew the Chiefs would win I'd pull for Baltimore because I don't want Mahomes at home yet again for another AFCCG.

I do think the Texans have a chance. They are playing their best ball right now and that makes them dangerous.

I like the way it is.  The best case scenario is the Bills playing with the knowledge that they'll have another home game next week if they win.

I'm waiting for the fake pitch out wide off this play to Cook...could go for a TD...nobody is out there and they all crash down on Allen

I've been waiting for this too, borderline expecting it.

  9. This comes after just watching the Eagles fail on one, too.  Defenses may be slow to adjust sometimes in this league but they do adjust.  Everyone knows Josh is going left and without a great second effort push from Gilliam we would have been shut down twice in a row, committing a turnover on downs.

The big problem with the play is that, compared to a handoff or a normal QB sneak, there's very little improvising that can happen if the play starts to fail.  I'd rather Josh have the freedom to shut things down and try to dive for a different hole, or even find the edge as we've seen him do a couple times in the past, if a defender manages to shoot through.
