  1. i'm all for Nelson making the active roster as well, OP. this guy has the attitude to get it done out there. compare him to Hardy. he's in his 3rd season, and Nelson seems to be far more developed already. James Hardy may be a very talented receiver, but they might have to graft Lou Piccone's brain into his head to tap any of that! that said, i hope it happens somehow, and that SOMEone is catching the ball for us this year.

  2. when they picked Spiller i thought "ARE they NUTZ ??" i mean, he's not just a RB, which they had, but a SMALL RB, behind a highly suspect line. i would have jumped on some of the tradedown opportunities, and ended up with guys like Saffold, Veldheer, Campbell et. al.

so i looked up his highlights on Utube, which as we all know by now, are just about infinite. i compared what i saw with what Lynch showed in college. what stood out was one thing: vision. unlike ML, this little cat has that Thurman Thomas field vision that feels where everyone is, where they're gonna be, where he needs to go, and how he needs to get there. it also enables him to use his limited blocking to maximal effectiveness.

the main question, of course, was "how can a sub-200 lb back hold up against the giants in the NFL?" well, with his build, and short stature, he seems to do quite well. i'd hafta peg him somewhere between Chris Johnson, and Reggie Bush... but it seems like he's a lot closer to Johnson. he seems tough enough, and has not just top-end speed, but plenty of shiftiness, and unreal acceleration in every gear. so, i guess i'll have to live with all those big plays, even though they drafted him against my will. lol

  3. try this poll:

    A. Yes, all our QBs are all pros

    B. Uhhh.. no they're not?

OMG.. everyone picked B.. they suck !

that would be just as bad as:

    A. Yes, at least ONE might start for SOME other team.

    B. No, none of the 4 could ever start for ANY team, ever.

    OMG.. everyone picked A.. they're magnificent !

toss them both in the trash, on top of the equally invalid version used here.

  4. although hangartner never actually missed time last year, i understand his abilities were compromised due to injury. this may have lessened over the course of the year, as his grades looked better later on(according to PFF). i wanna see how he plays this year, presumably healthy, and with more help from slightly seasoned guards next to him.

(oh yeah, and with an OC that is said to have a clue as well!).

  5. Alex Carrington & Torrell Troup did'nt do much of anything last night either, should we give up on them as well?

OMG yeahhh.. like, cut the WHOLE TEAM NOW !!!

then go back in time and cut all the other busts, like.. Moulds, Kelly, Conlan, Smerlas, OJ and Bruce after their crap first games(in some cases, first YEARS).

sometimes, ya just gotta get out the DUCK TAPE.

  6. wasnt it the first live action for the Redskins too who have also gone through wholesale changes?

oh noooooo... danny snyder never pays wholesale for ANYthing.

the 'skins are going thru RETAIL changes... at a hi markup no less !

c'mon guyz, beat up more trollz and related creatures. it's way more fun that football at this stage. :wallbash:

  7. You fit the system to the players you have. I like the Spiller pick and I like the Troup pick. But really, did we have the luxury to pick them? I mean c'mon, Joique Bell looks like a world beater out there. Why did we not get a LT early?

    who.. who... WHO ??

give me a name of a top LT that was available at pick 9 that could play this year. if you think it was A.Davis, well, one of the backs running behind him just abruptly retired LOL. now that inspires confidence like nothing else !

  8. We're talking football - not life and death. The post is saying think positive because that's what we got. Green, Meredeth and Bell - that's how we're going to roll Bro so deal with it. It's football - relax.

    :P:lol::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

But to classify him as a winner is a little over the top.

yeh, i think to no do so is a lot "under the bottom". LOOK, a winning coach was always one with an overall record greater than .500. no opinions are allowed in numeric figures.

    re: LTs

mcneil may be finished, and gaither looks like he's dying, or something. if anyone has a real solution, spit it out. if not, can it and watch the bloody game !

  9. The bottom line I get from all of the camp reports is:

    1. Pass defense looks great- QBs still suck??

    2. Pass rush impressive- O-Line still horrible??

    3. Running game looking good- Run defense still poor?? AWESOME !

    [corrected]

all reports say that Dwan , Stroud, Troup and Davis have been beasts, and Kyle and Poz are holding their own. looks like the new D might finally have the brawn to hold up. it's about time!

  10. What? How can that be becasue we "reached for him" and blew it not taking that out of shape slob Cody instead...(who saw like 10 more DT's come off the board after Troup before someone took the blob)

    LOL...

    :devil::blink: :blink: ROFL rite on, A-dawg !

    all hail... the BLOBBB!! . . . .

  11. i don't expect the bills to make the playoffs. they might not even have a winning season. but i like the approach they seem to be taking now. when i see steps taken, by competent, experienced management and coaching staff, i start to feel good. i don't even care about losses if we seem to be on the right track.

now i guess that makes me a "naysayer" (neighsayer?) in someone's eyes. but even i'm in support of the coach, gm, team and players, and feel very optimistic about the future.

the thing that awes me however, over and above anything the team does, is the support of the fans. and i mean the REAL fans, not the silly beaching morons we get in here sometimes. real fans know things are never perfect, but still do what they can, which is to show up, and show support, which our bills fans do, without parallel.

may your tailgating be filled with neverending bliss, and may you always be pleasantly surprised with what happens in the stadium. here's to you, REAL FANS:

  12. ralphischeap... ralphischeap... ralphischeap... ralphischeap... ralphischeap...

there, now it's been officially said ENOUGH !!!

i am SICK to DEATH of this crap, usually stated with obnoxious arrogance: "since everyone KNOWs"... yeah, everyone knows that it's BULL !!

before you continue, be sure to read ALL previous threads on the topic. read every single word. you'll die of old age doing that, which is the POINT.

if u wanna make a new claim, include irrefutable proof- and i mean comprehensive figures, not "well, it seemed like this happened that one time" horsecrap. otherwise, put a sock in it.

  13. jeeez.. do i hafta to clue u guyz in on like, EVVVrythang?

he's coming back. he is. he knows. he always did. he's lying, cuz that's what he's supposed to do. but he'lll play. Chan knows it, and even let this slip out:

"when he shows up, he'll have a lotta catchin' up to do". get it? WHEN he shows up, as in "we knew it all along, but had to play along with it for PR BS". SURE favre does the same thing. but he knows too, he always did, and so does his coach and owner. both players wanna frack off, vacation with their families, and not be hated by all fans, and resented by teammates etc.

they square it with the front office and coaches, who cut them some slack, cuz they've paid their dues, and know how to get up to speed fast when they arrive. it's all approved in advance, and they would tell us that, if they knew the media wouldn't make big horseshot out of it(a certainty).

he'll show up in time to get in the game, and we can all pretend to be SO surPRIZEd.

quick, practice your loox of feigned surprise now !!

    :blink::censored::censored:<_<:w00t: ~ woooooh !

    mmm.. GOOD job, team !

  14. like chill OUT, dawgzzzz...

Veek sux against the run, Android sux against the pass(more or less). so we flip them in and out. big freakin' deal ? now flip it over: Davis ROX against the run, and Mitchell does against the pass. that way, we have a good LB in there at all times. Poz kyna does both pretty well, from the evaluations i've studied. Davis "starts", as long as we think the opposition might run on 1st down.

Mitchell is no star.. until some team is stuck and has to throw against him, heh hehh. i live for moments like that- or when they try to run it up the gut on 3rd, past Davis. then all the morons scream "like, OMG.. he should be in there like, every down man, i mean, come ONNN". lol

    can u say "sit-shoe-way-shun-null sub-stit-too-shun ?"

    shur.. ah knewya could.

    ROFL

    i just crack me up.

.. "but.. wernt u already like, 'cracked'...?"

    shhhhhhhhhhhh !

  15. this is why Troup weighs less than a buick at this time:

""When I came into college, I was 350 (lbs.) so I couldn't play as many plays my freshman year. I would play two or three plays and then I'd have to come out."

"constantly worked in the weight room and was constantly running on my own to build my conditioning because .. it's hard to go that fourth quarter, especially if you're getting double teams."

    http://ucfathletics.cstv.com/sports/m-foot.../042310aai.html

this is not some little guy we need to "fatten up", ok? when he weighs 315, he may have more muscle mass on him than moby.. i mean cody does at 975, or whatever he's up to by now.

let the young man BE.. and see what he actually does on the dang field. chances are, he may be 325 after a full offseason here anyway.

  16. here's one big difference between Trent and Brohm that i haven't heard mentioned yet. both of them SEEM to have had problems with confidence at times. however, with Trent it's more the fact that he has been SHELLSHOCKED from having his Stanford head cracked open more than once. the boy has PTSD and brain damage by now for chrissake. if he can play at all anymore, it's a credit to him, i tellya.

now, when Brohm says "i dunno, maybe i uh... lost like, confidence, or something.. yeh, thatsit", he's LYING ! THINK- you were this highly touted..whatever, and now you're doomed to second-string nuthin' status forever in GB. u wanna stay there ??? hell, you'll do anything u can to get out. demanding a trade won't work, you won't have a chance to become trade bait. so, go for the last resort- TANK it. yup, play like crap, and get yourself cut, and do it NOW. stuck on the practice squad? NP- wait til some team gets desperate- THERE's your big chance.

you think he's gonna admit that? he'd hafta be crazy. it's soooo easy to pretend to have struggled, and then suddenly "found yourself" in new surroundings. no one would question it. now that doesn't mean Brohm is ready to play tomorrow, ok? this QB job has a lot to it. ask any player that was a BUST going into his fourth year like, oh... that BREES fella who went 2 and 9 in his third year starts.

there's hope for borth of them, and we won't know for sure until we get in a decent staff that can use them, and then play a season after that. ooh wait, we may be on the brink of that NOW! just chill out for the preseason, and then gitcher seatbelts on. if we bomb, like everyone sez- '11's a great year for passers.

  17. there appears to be some discrepancy here, depending on the oracle one prefers to reference. i see mr. spiller achieving a time of four point TWO seven, whilst traversing the customary distance, according to the normally reliable authority linked below.

    http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dspro...0&genpos=RB

given the young man's acceleration evidenced on film, one might tend to believe the 4.27 figure.
