  1. God I just don't get it. How can you possibly think that the 500+ yards of offense has nothing to do with the fact we're missing our top three corners and Byrd! Not just three corners our top three corners! There isn't a team in the league that wouldn't experience a drop-off in the pass defense if you were to take away their four major secondary players.

Justin Rogers alone must have accounted for 250 yards allowed. He doesn't belong on the field and maybe that speaks to the fact we should have bolstered our secondary in the offseason a bit more, fine. But I also don't think we anticipated losing this many guys.

And now we have Dareus out, we have Carrington getting carted off, Mario possibly hurt. Give me a break. This defense has the most potential we've had in years if we could get everyone back on the field.

Also when you're talking about the run game, did you even think to consider that Powell carried the ball nearly 30 times and we had to drop more people into coverage to make up for the loss in the secondary. I feel like no one is even considering this.

  2. I have to go with this year's Ravens. They were one 4th and 26 play away from not even making the playoffs, a blown coverage by the Broncos got them into the superbowl and they needed a pass interference to stop the 49ers from scoring a game winning TD. Obviously they weren't a BAD team to have gone that far, every SB winner has some luck along the way, but those 3 instances were huge.

  3. The best thing about the Tuel situation is that it shows how effective our new GM's scouting ability is. He was no fluke, if you remember Tuel was the only QB for a while (if not for the whole offseason) that was brought in for a private workout IN Buffalo. So who knows what he'll develop into but I think he speaks to Doug Whaley's ability to scouts.

  4. I understand that these guys want their money but why is it that every time we won't to sign someone they all of a sudden want to be the highest paid player at their position? Byrd, Mario, I'm sure Levitre thinks the same. All of these guys are great but how about some humility? They talk all this hype about being about the team and winning for the city of Buffalo but they obviously don't mean it. I know some of you will jump all over me for saying something so obvious but is this going to be a trend every time we want to resign a borderline probowler? Ala Eric Wood? CJ Spiller in a few years?

  5. Stature: Andrew Luck

    Pocket Presence: Aaron Rodgers

    Arm Strength: Colin Kaepernick

    Accuracy: Matt Ryan

    Scramble Ability: RGIII

    Decision Making: Peyton Manning

    Leadership: Tom Brady

    Swagger:Tom Brady

  6. It'd have to be Kyle Williams, unfortunately. He can dominated a game but then disappear the next. So he gets his praise based on those games where he does do well, but is forgotten about when they implode for whatever reason, those games are just as much his fault as they are our weak linebackers'.

I'd say Brad Smith, but I think everyone except our front office believes he isn't any good, thus not being overrated.
