How rare is Tommy John Surgery in quarterbacks? I’ve found Jake Delhomme in 2007 and Rob Johnson (yes him, #Bills fans) in 2004 as the only QBs that have had it in the last 15 or more years. Not sure how thats encouraging... seems exactly like the thing that would happen to the Bills.

Early enough in the season that the gods will give us a ray of sunshine - we get to 2-3 people start saying... we may have a chance!
Bills 27- Titans 24
Allen bounces back and throws for 255 1TD/1Pick and a rushing TD
Shady has 90 APY and a TD

I was at the game on Sunday and say 15 feet from Allen and carefully watched him throughout the game. Was visibly frustrated throughout, but kept grinding - seeing him get the call from upstairs after he threw that pick in the endzone was something to see - was mad at himself and had to keep himself from throwing his helmet at times.
After that bad fumble call came back to the sidelines and said, "in what world was that a F***ing fumble?!?"
Overall he was upset, not doubt but at no point did I think he was lost, scared, or deer in the headlights.
Seems like he was too fired up for his own good.

Think both he and Ivory prepare to start... Then start Ivory... use Shady sparingly... Let him recharge his battery... These are the coaching decisions that make a difference in a season...
This - I would really like to start Ivory then use Shady in the second back role..
We will see

Rooting for him. He's who I wanted... makes it easy when we have someone that looks pretty damn good.

He was tough on Allen and also said he was his qb1 coming out this year..
I think most of it was fair. JA isnt a finished product, he needs to develop - and things that casual football fans dont attribute to the QB such as sliding protections and pre-snap diagnosis of blocking schemes will need to be learned.

I'm mostly worried about the coaching staff right now...
I liked what I saw from Josh, hes going to throw picks, but hes gonna throw a lot of TDs
Saw a tweet that showed what looked like Sean calling plays?

Miss that place.

Watching this I don't feel as depressed as I did yesterday.. Some really good throws.. some drops, receivers running 9 yard outs when it should have been 10... only real complaint is he cant leave that ball to 85 short like that.
Also our line sucks.

I loved the Edmunds pick and Josh Allen. You improved your O line and improved the secondary as well. Great job you guys and I hope it carries over into the season.
Ice Bowl - you are such a great other team poster. When I come to the GB game I'll look you up and lets have a beer. DM me if you come to Minny for the GB game and if it's not miserable outside I'll do the same here.

"However, just six picks later came Wyoming’s Josh Allen, whose entire existence seems to indicate that scouting has not advanced particularly far. I like the Bills a lot. I think their front office is forward-thinking and that they have a great coaching staff. Allen, though, is an inaccurate college passer whose key trait—throwing the ball a long way—is used very rarely among current NFL offenses."
Did you actually read the article, or just assume it was bad? The comments were very fair - I think Allen actually has a great chance to succeed, but yeah by almost all advanced analytics take, the pick makes little sense.

Just keep AJM away from mats.
