Will Bills seek a new naming rights partner?

‘There are 30 stadiums in the league, with two of them shared: the Giants and Jets at MetLife in East Rutherford, N.J. and the Rams and Chargers at SoFi in Inglewood, Calif. Twenty-five of those facilities have sold naming rights, headed by the Cowboys who get between $17 and $19 million annually from AT&T.’

Bills’ Josh Allen eager to ‘move past’ lab error on Covid testing

‘”Obviously, I was super-frustrated that I wasn’t here (for practice Sunday),” Allen said during a Zoom call with reporters. “You lose reps that I can’t get back. At the same time, I think it was a good opportunity for our team to kind of go through a day of adversity like this. It allowed us to give us an opportunity to have this in case it were a game day.’

McDermott: ‘Ridiculous’ that some stadiums will have fans and others won’t

‘“I think it’s honestly ridiculous that there will be that, on the surface, what appears to be a playing field that’s like that, inconsistently across the league with the different away stadiums,” McDermott said. “But it is what it is. We control what we can control. That’s got to be our mindset and that’s how we attack it.”’

Bills training camp observations: Rookie Gabriel Davis continues to shine

‘“The new guys, Diggs and Gabriel and those type of guys just making plays, it’s good to see, because there were some years on offense that we were struggling,” Hyde said. “There weren’t those guys to make plays. So it’s making us better, we’re making them better and ultimately it’s going to make the team better.”’

Being a guinea pig for a false positive COVID-19 test didn’t exactly please Josh Allen

‘“I’m happy that it happened now instead of come season time,” said Allen. “If this were to happen on Saturday or Sunday, who knows if I’d be playing. It sucks that I was kind of the guinea pig and whatnot, and part of that process, but I’m glad it wasn’t then, I’m glad it was now and we’re able to kind of move past it.”’

Devin Singletary is in great shape and prepared to be the Bills’ top running threat

‘This is the tendency in sports, falling in love with the new guy, and in Moss’ case, it’s easy to understand why that would happen. With his unique talent for being able to mix bruising runs with ones where he’s elusive enough to make defenders miss, the 2020 third-round draft pick and native south Floridian looks like he’s going to be a fun player to watch this season.’

Bills coach Sean McDermott says inconsistent NFL fan policy is ‘ridiculous’

‘“We control what we can control,” McDermott said on a Zoom call Monday morning. “I think it’s honestly ridiculous that there will be … what appears to be a playing field that is like that. Inconsistently across the league with the different away stadiums. We control what we can control. That’s gotta be our mindset and that’s how we attack it.”’

Bills’ Sean McDermott: Ridiculous that some stadiums can have fans while others cannot

‘“It is what it is,” McDermott told the media ahead of Monday’s training camp practice. “We control what we can control. I think it’s honestly ridiculous that there will be… what appears to be a playing field that is like that. Inconsistently across the league with the different away stadiums, but it is what it is. We control what we can control. That’s gotta be our mindset and that’s how we attack it.”’

Bills training camp 2020: Josh Allen gets offense moving, Andre Roberts flashes (Day 7 observations)

‘It wouldn’t be surprising if the Bills offense, with a new star wide receiver, was still trying to get up to speed. But Allen said after practice that he thinks the offense has been moving a good pace in practice. He credited offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and his coaching staff.’

The Dolphins plan to allow 13,000 fans at games. That’s not sitting well with a rival coach.

‘In most years, the prospect of having to play in front of 13,000 Miami Dolphins fans might not be upsetting to an opposing coach. But, of course, this is not an ordinary year.’

Bills head coach Sean McDermott upset at lack of league-wide attendance policy: ‘It’s honestly ridiculous’

‘McDermott’s aired out his frustrations shortly after the Miami Dolphins announced they will welcome around 20% capacity, which is up to 13,000 fans. The Bills face the Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium in Week 2.’

Josh Allen returns to practice; WR Gabe Davis shines again

‘Rookie wide receiver Gabe Davis continued to impress, regardless of situation. In individual position work, he climbed the ladder to make an excellent catch over the middle.’

Josh Allen returns to practice after false-positive COVID-19 test

‘Allen made the most of his return to practice, with a very solid day for the offense. During 11-on-11 drills, Allen made a pretty play avoiding a pass rusher and rolling to his left to find John Brown in the back of an endzone. That throw, along with some other nice passes to Dawson Knox and Stefon Diggs highlighted a strong rebound for the offense.’

Bills QB Josh Allen returns to practice after false positive COVID-19 test

‘Allen’s false positive was test was part of issues with the lab they use in New Jersey that produced false positive test among 10 or 11 teams that use this lab and the Bills were one of them.’

Bills QB Josh Allen says ‘the timing is getting there’ with WR Stefon Diggs

‘“Obviously with the limited amount of time and the reps that we’ve had as far as watching film goes we’re a little behind on that but that’s gonna change here,” Allen said.’

Bills HC Sean McDermott says it’s “ridiculous” some stadiums can have fans while others can’t

‘“Look it is what it is. We control what we can control. I think it’s honestly ridiculous that there will be on the surface what appears to be a playing field that’s like that, inconsistently across the league with the different away stadiums but it is what it is,” McDermott said on a zoom call with reporters.’

Bills training camp injury report: August 24th

‘Running back Taiwan Jones was a new addition to the injury report with a knee injury suffered in practice on Sunday.’

Dolphins to allow 13,000 fans in home opener against Bills

‘The limited seating will be reinforced with socially distanced seating clusters. Fans must wear a mask while attending.’

Catch the infamous “No Punt Game” from ’92 on Sunday

‘It’s the first time in NFL history that neither team punted.’

Bills head coach calls it ‘ridiculous’ that some stadiums will have fans

‘Earlier last week, the NFL was exploring the possibility of allowing fans into the Orchard Park stadium this season and sent a survey to some Bills season ticket holders asking them a wide-range of questions, topics which include: communication from the team, the direction the team is heading on the field, and fans’ comfort level with watching the game from inside the stadium this season.’

If cases continue to increase, ‘extremely unlikely’ fans at Bills games, Poloncarz warns

‘”And, as a note on professional sporting events, under current NYS guidelines no fans are allowed in Buffalo Bills games. If new cases and positivity rates continue to increase, it is extremely unlikely that NYS will allow fans into games.”‘

Bills learning, growing from COVID testing mishap

‘“I give the players and the staff a lot of credit. They were very positive with their approach and they went out and were resilient in terms of their mindset yesterday,” says head coach Sean McDermott. “What appeared to be a potentially very negative situation on the surface, the way we handled it, the way our players handled it in particular, to me was a positive in terms of a growth opportunity for us as a team.”’

McDermott says some teams being allowed to have fans ‘honestly ridiculous’ and inconsistent

‘“It is what it is. We can control what we can control,” says McDermott. “I think it’s honestly ridiculous that there will be, on the surface, what appears to be a playing field that’s like that— inconsistently across the league with the different away stadiums.”’

Micah Hyde: Competition at an all-time high this Bills camp

‘Hyde credits Buffalo’s improvements on offense with increasing the level of intensity.’

‘“It is what it is. We control what we can control,” said the Bills head coach. “I think it’s honestly ridiculous that there will be, on the surface, what appears to be a playing field that’s like that, inconsistently across the league with the different away stadiums. But it is what it is. We control what we control. That’s gotta be our mindset and that’s how we adapt.”’

Bills place Ike Brown on the reserve/retired list

‘Brown joined the Bills as an undrafted free agent from FIU following the 2020 NFL Draft.’

3 things we learned from Sean McDermott on Day 7 of Bills training camp

‘”We were able to build trust through these experiences now, these shared experiences where our players – and they were concerned, as was I, as was Brandon and [head athletic trainer] Nate [Breske] – that once we had the information, we were able to put a plan in place to go out and practice safely,” McDermott said.’

Top 3 things to know from Day 7 of Bills training camp

‘Andre Roberts had the highlight reel touchdown catch of the day. Roberts beat Neal and perfectly tracked the ball into his hands as he laid out to make the grab falling into the endzone. Kudos to Barkley because that throw was money. Roberts showed today that he’s talented enough to be used as a receiver in certain packages and not just as the team’s returner.’

A heartbreaking trip motivates a Bills player and team chaplain to make a greater impact

‘”It was an experience to just grow my knowledge,” Wallace explained. “It’s been a trying time in this world and in this country dealing with George Floyd and Breonna Taylor and getting justice for them. It’s great to have that information to back up what you believe.”‘

Bills Today | Difference in the Bills from 2017 to 2020

‘”We had to go through the process together,” Hyde said “looking around and seeing the fresh faces, and fresh bodies, knowing that we have a shot. We have a shot,” obviously it’s going to be a lot of hard work you got to do to get there. I’m not saying that it’s going to come easy, there’s going to be some adversity during the season, not to mention everyone going through this pandemic stuff right now. I know that the guys in the locker room, I’m not trying to go out there for anybody else. We’re going to go out there and fight and it starts with #17 on offense, he’s always willing to compete no matter what it is. Then defensively, we got some dogs over there.”‘
