“After their finest moment, after their latest step, after they ran through the Miami defense, overran the Miami offense and pronounced themselves AFC East contenders in the biggest of ways, the Buffalo Bills’ victory then became complete: Jimmy Johnson erupted.”

“Since the inception of the AFL in 1960, the Chargers were making their fourth appearance in five years in the final, but they had won only one of the previous four visits — a 51-10 shellacking of Boston in 1963.”

“However, by repeating the “no comment” mantra when asked if the Bills would be interested in signing Phillips, general manager John Butler and coach Wade Phillips are actually making a very salient comment, not to mention a disturbing one.”

“For those people expecting a statement from the Buffalo Bills’ management concerning the case of yet more of their players abusing a woman, this time an off-duty police officer in a downtown club, it could be coming soon.”

“The Buffalo Bills’ running back situation looks a lot better today than it did after Sunday’s win over the Miami Dolphins. Bills coach Wade Phillips said the sprained knee suffered by Jonathan Linton is not as serious as first thought, and added there’s a possibility the second-year back could play this Sunday against the New York Jets.”
