‘Perhaps it’s recency bias because I just wrote about him, but I’ll pick wide receiver Chase Claypool. He had all the right things to say after practice Tuesday about understanding that this might be his last NFL chance. The wide receiver depth chart is fairly wide open. Shakir, Keon Coleman and Curtis Samuel are the only “locks” to me, although Marquez Valdes-Scantling is close to that status. Claypool will have an opportunity in training camp to earn playing time on offense. He has also embraced the idea that special teams could be his path to a roster spot, which shows a good level of maturity. Defensively, I’ll go with Dorian Williams. He’s got all the athleticism you need for an NFL linebacker, but it seemed, at times, as though he was still learning the defense as a rookie. If he locks that part down, I could see him making an impact, either when the Bills go to three-linebacker sets or in the event either Matt Milano or Terrel Bernard miss any time.’
