Fires Posted September 13, 2004 Share Posted September 13, 2004 It sucks the Bills lost yesterday, but luckily I had my power turned back on yesterday AM just in time to watch the game. I thank god that I was able to sit in my undamaged living room with a roof over my head, when several of my neighbors lost theirs. For those who don't know me, I'm a Firefighter in Martin Co. Fla, we were Ground Zero for Hurricane Frances when it came through. The storm officially came ashore 2 mi from my house, close to where my father in laws place "was". (he lost everthing) Thankfully he was up in Bradford PA at the time. After 8 days without power, or water, worrying about family members during the storm, assesing damage, running numerous calls at work, cutting up all my trees out of my yard, seeing my adopted "hometown" of Jensen Beach Fla suffer severe damage, believe me, win or lose, I was So Happy just to be able to sit on my couch in the AC with a cold one and watch the game...
