There's a pack of coyotes (5 of them last time I saw them during the winter) living in the 200 acres of woods directly across the road from my place and I've seen one of them in my yard a couple of times before but just last week we heard that death screech you're talking about behind our house and when I turned the lights on back there I saw a fox running away with a bunny in its mouth. I've heard it many times before but it still amazes me at how loud a little bunny can scream! It’s a coyote. There’s a creek (Smokes Creek) less than a 1/4 mile behind me and own 800 ft. along it. It’s kind of a land locked area. The development and clearing around me since I’ve lived here has cramped things back there. Seen a pack of three since last fall a couple times. Always catching a glimpse of one. They’ve gotten at least a half dozen deer back there since then. I had to pick up the legs of a carcass for the first cut of the back lawn. Quote
