People are correct that Buffalo is a "small" market yet is bigger than both New Orleans and Green Bay and that within 60 miles of Buffalo (diameter wise) is well over 5M people so it is not like the area is devoid of population. The area is actually situated quite nicely to a lot of wealth just over the border and not even including Toronto itself. Rochester/Buffaol/NF/to just south of Toronto is an area of millions of people. There are people to fill the stadium, buy jerseys, buy merchandise and keep this team here. It does the league no good for reputation to get rid of a longstanding team with such history to make another 10-20M a year when you consider all debt service it would take to move.
