I was watching the Office, the episode where Dwight offers to form an alliance with Jim, for no reason whatsoever. Then reading on this board it dawned on me that people here have basically done the same thing, chosen sides and attempted to run off people with differing opinions.

As much as i want Losman to do well and succeed somewhere, the Bills made their choice in Edwards, and better damn well stick with Edwards for a full season (so long as he stays healthy, of course). If they begin to play musical QBs, again, i'll be infuriated with the coaching staff/front office.
Oh, if Edwards shows some real promise this season, and has 2 bad games in 2009, they better stick with him then too.
I don't think there are ever rules in place for when a QB should be taken out.
I definitely do not see any logic to saying that no matter how a QB plays, you stay with him the entire season.
Losman was a victim of nothing other than his own poor play.
So I really don't hope anything of the sort regarding keeping a QB in.
I just hope that Edwards proves to be a better QB than Losman, because Losman is a bust.

I think you're answering that part because that may be all you read. Did you READ the rest of it? You're still saying he bought his house going into his fourth year. He didn't. He bought his house the end of May 2006. He DID do it long before his contract season. Prior to that he lived IN Buffalo from Day 1.
You commend Trent for "buying into the community from Day 1" because he bought a house in HAMBURG and spending the off season in California, but then bash JP as disengenous even though he has lived IN Buffalo from Day 1, stays here in the offseason, does a ton of community service, and puts money into the economy year round? I understand it's your feelings and opinions, but really.. does it make any sense?

There are better examples to choose from but they don't support your argument. I don't think 3 out of 7 years is anything special. It's better than Buffalo but the Titans have had continuity in the front office and with the HC. Buffalo has not.
Continuty is no excuse.
No one hires and fires GMs and HCs for the Bills, they make those moves by choice.

I can always change these DraftTek priorities for the Bills if the majority thinks they'd like to. With the DraftTek Team Priorities the way they are now, the first 4 picks right now are WR Malcolm Kelly and TE Fred Davis, OC Steve Justice, and WR Paul Hubbard (the draft class's best downfield blocker, IMHO). Good for JP. This is the first step in manning up and reclaiming his job. Now he has to translate that to the field in drills, practice and then in the classroom during film study.

He does get paid-- no question Bill-- and I am far from a believer that he is a QB who could lead the team to the playoffs--but he does the right thing, not the easy thing, every time he is faced with one of these choices. I really respect him for this.

I think the Bills D did a great job last year considering what they had to work with. Injuries were devastating. Guys stepped it up and made plays. The offense not doing it's job had to be pretty demoralizing. I know it was heart breaking to watch.
I agee we need some pass rushing and some run stuffing abilities. Hopefully the pick ups in the off season will pan out.
