  1. I created a guide to a great Bills weekend. Whether you're coming with friends or your significant other. This should be helpful. Give me a shout if you have questions.

I'd post the whole thing here, but I'm limited on pics. There's a lot more pictures and info here:

So you want to come to Buffalo for a Bills Game? Good Choice!

There’s one neighboring town has everything you need

    • Nice Hotels
    • Great Restaurants
    • Multiple Watering Holes
    • Lots of things to do
    • The Best Wings in Buffalo
    • A Grocery Store
    • and a Mighty Taco

And that is East Aurora, NY.

East Aurora was the first home of the Buffalo Bills as it hosted the Bills Training Camps from 1960-1963.

The Bills Locker Rooms were at what is now the East Aurora Middle School on Main Street and the team had to keep at least one football player on the roster that also knew how to drive a school bus, so he could haul the team to Knox Farm and back every day. True Story.

And to this day, East Aurora remains the classic small American Town–full of interesting shops, bars, and restaurants.

    Where to stay:

East Aurora has 2 very nice hotels:

The Hampton Inn by Hilton. Clean, friendly, efficient, and affordably priced:

You can book a room or get more info here.

    The Roycroft Inn:

The Roycroft Inn was once the Centerpiece of the Roycroft Arts & Crafts Movement led by Elbert Hubbard. Some even say it is haunted. I’ve heard some stories and I kind of believe them–so if you’re bringing your significant other and looking for a historic, beautiful, quirky hotel–go for it!

  2. Hey everyone, last year I did a Countdown to the 2012 season and we talked about it daily on the Stadium Wall.

This year I'm doing the same thing, but now I'm trying to identify which players were the best ever to wear the the different Bills Jersey Numbers.

I'm about two weeks in, so if you'd like to follow along for the rest of the offseason--it should be fun.

  3. Geno Smith has a chance to be the Bills QB next year, but he's also taking A LOT of flack about not being as good as other recent top QB prospect. I asked Ryan Talbot to help me boil down all the numbers and get to the bottom of this.

I'd be very happy with Geno as the Bills QB. I know the ceiling of the guys on the roster now, and we're not going to win anything with them.

I'm posting this link not to try to steal traffic away from TBD, but instead to share some info I think fellow Bills fans will be interested in. Thanks.

  4. Mayock is OK, he was too high on Matt Ryan for my liking--because they were both Boston College guys it seemed fishy. The real thing is that none of these guys know about QBs--even NFL GMs make horrible mistakes.

As for the orignal Eagles question. EJ Manuel from Florida State really look like he skill set and QB body type that Chip Kelly had at Oregon. I'm anxious to see how he builds his system in the NFL.
