  1. I haven't really read many live chats or any players twitters or the other social networking pages. In this particular live chat, it doesn't seem like it's really the player. Anyone else have any experiences with these? I have wondered about this before and this fits the mold of my thoughts.

  2. I think Leaf is a loser in every sense of the word. I understand addiction. But, I don't throw tags on people (fellow wallers, athletes, celebs, etc) casually. Leaf had a golden opportunity to live a dream existence, and lost it all. So, in the truest sense of the word, he is a loser. He lost back then, and continues to lose.

Favre was addicted, but dealt with it (so they say), and was able to have a successful career. So, by my defintion, he isn't a loser. He never resorted to breaking in to homes to steal perscriptions, or trying to deceive doctors or pharmacists to get more pain pills.

Heath Shuler had a similar trek through the NFL as Leaf. He was a bust, but not a loser. He never panned out in the NFL, but used the money he made to secure his future, and forge a new career for himself in politics. I would define Shuler as a winner.

    Leaf is still a loser...

The Bills, could be easily defined as a team/organization as losers for a long long time now.. Through association, as fans of this team, doesn't bode well for us. I guess it's how you look at it. I see him as a person in need of help and guidance, and not a loser. I understand your point though and can appreciate the stance as well.

P.S. ufck Brett Favre.. I say by all means that he did abuse pills and in doing so deceived doctors into prescribing them to him. He is a winner, no arguing that, but he sure can't seem to let it go and hang up the cleats.

  3. To call Leaf a loser is sort of harsh. He has a drug problem, and is a troubled soul at this point of his life. Not all people who get addicted to drugs are low-lifes. Addiction causes people to take drastic measures to feed it. I would say he needs help and is in a lose-lose situation right now. Brett Favre was addicted to pain pills, is he a loser?

  4. I'm still a JP fan, I like him as a player (when on the sidelines) and what I know of him as a person. But even I think he sucks, he would be good if the other team lined up with 7 defensive players on the field and none were defensive backs (Dick Jauron would have a heart attack if he didn't see DBs on the field). I think he can be good as a football player, but my flag football league doesn't pay much. Better luck as a QB coach for some high school team.

  5. Not surprised that you completely missed the point, but as a community service, I will explain it to you...

I welcome your opinion on the subject. I assume everyone does, unless of course, its origins are from the Isle of Cretin. But you clearly didn't read the thread before you posted. You quoted me from post #5 out of a (presently) 82 post thread. Your question and complaint had already been addressed and discussed a dozen times. If you wished to reply and post and engage on ANY of the arguments that haven't been beaten to death I would be thrilled, eager and champing at the bit to trash them. But all you did was ask an already-answered-in-great-detail-question, and then complained you weren't allowed to play. That's rather unprepared for class, wouldn't you say?

You have a lot of anger for simply posting on a message board, you should get that checked out. I guess you're missing the point, if a reporter asks a question and it is answered by the person the question was directed at, and another reporter asks the similar question, that's being unprepared? Understanding this isn't the same situation, but it gets the point across. I hope you get your anger worked out.

  6. Actually, it may not be true, but it makes a lot of sense. And it has been addressed fully in the 73 previous posts to yours in this thread. What is truly a moot point, at least in the little or no practical value or meaning sense of the word, is your post and point, which has already been explored, dissected, possibly debunked, and debated thoroughly above.

Apparently this is a forum that only a select few are allowed to discuss a topic... You're wrong again, moot point #2.

  7. The Bills screwed him, IMO. And we continue to either underpay or overpay.

A solid back-up RB who worked his ass off, always produced, and is counted on to start three important games, is worth more than 1.9 million, and the going rate seems to be 2.5. The Bills gave Drayton Florence 3.3 mil a year to be a back-up CB.

Saying the Bills screwed him makes absolutely no sense. Fred Jackson and his agent agreed to terms of the contract. The Bills didn't hold a gun to his head; BOTH sides negotiated the contract. Your point is moot.

  8. Thank you very much for the post. Hard to take a slam from somebody that has Maurice Clarett as his/her picture. I have to admit, that's a strange crush you have there. You even have the mug shot, which makes easier for you to imagine spending time in prison with him. But if that's the way you roll, who am I to judge?

My guess is you didn't have a father figure.

  9. You guys are all correct. I am wrong. The list of WRs excelling at the age of 35-36 is a long one. I'm sure he's going to be a stud and a perfect teammate. The problem with you folks is I have history and logic backing me up while you have pathetic wishful thinking. Every team has been happy to see the guy leave, and I know Buffalo will be no different. No worries though. The Bills have superstar Fred Jackson. When there is so much excitement on a team's message board about the resigning of a complaining backup RB, you know you're dealing with a thriving franchise.

My guess is that you touched yourself a lot when you were a kid; and the reason being is no one else was willing to do so. If history backs me up, things aren't changing much for you any time soon...

  10. 1. George Washington.

    2. Thomas Jefferson

    3. Abraham Lincoln

    4. Alexander Hamilton

    5. Andrew Jackson

    6. Ulysses Grant

    7. Benjamin Franklin

    8. OJ Simpson

    9. Jim Kelly

    10. Marv Levy

Really think these are the only Bills most people in the NFL care about, I would go as far to say most people outside the NFL care about these more than any of the other Bills as well. 8-10 are arguable to even be on the list quite honestly.
