  1. anyone who goes will do it for fun- to be w/ fam, friends or just watch nfl football.

that said, this game is just terrible. 2 inept teams. Bills will probably win cause Jets are really bad (so are Bills) and it will destroy the Bills- I am sure they will miss out on whoever is picked in front of them. Winning this game means nothing. Anyone who suggests otherwise is wrong.

Fitzpatrick has no business starting week 17 btw. Might as well see what TT or TJ can do.

  2. WELL SAID!!!! It would not have changed the call at all, would have done nothing actually to change the play...however, it isnt just this play. I never see Chan get upset, its like he has no fire out there at all and the team plays in the same manner. How many times did the team move slow to the line when time was an issue? He gave away 4 seconds with how long it took to call a timeout. He wussed out for a FG attempt AGAIN by our FG kicker who is a GOOD kicker. This guy coaches with no guts, plays with no fire, and inspires no one.

So even though the penalty would not have been changed, he needs to show the refs he isnt going to stand for ticky tack calls and get in their face. Show the team some fire, especially after we just got a turnover and had a chance to really cease the game.

I am tired of his gutless and emotionless performances on the sidelines and in the post game loser interviews.

AGREE 100%. He needs to go OFF on plays like that. They showed the phantom block in back on big screen. He is not a good HC. simple

  3. This is a great topic. So important to the dynamic of the Buffalo Bills. I am in insurance- the 1 thing not mentioned here yet is the unknown---> Ralph could easily have already covered his estate tax burden w/ life insurance. No sense in paying any tax by selling the team now. Get the step up at Basis at death, like you say. if they sell it for more than the fari mkt value, they will be happy to pay a little tax then as is more money in their pocket.

But w/ the insurance, all he would have paid is the insurance premium and he could have done that w/ a trust (ILIT) and using his beneficiaries and gift them each 13K x 2 (Ralph & wife) = 26K to lower estate value and to pay insurance. Thus when they pass, the estate tax is covered by the death benefit. No tax, just insurance premiums. The question is, what has Ralph done- we may never know. I assume he has handled this. Look at Miami & Washington. Both their teams changed ownership real fast w/ untimely deaths of their owners. My thinking is Ralph learned from past mistakes and took advantage of living long and locked up his legacy w/ some simple insurance planning.

Here's hoping for his family's sake, he didn't mis-manage his fortune like he has mis-managed his football team.

  4. If I had a dollar for every time that phrase was uttered on this board, I'd give Buffet a run.

The team FINALLY picks the most talented football player on the board - a guy who has absolutely zero question marks. Doesn't fumble. Is a dynamic playmaker regardless of scenario. Has tremendous vision. Doesn't need "Hall of Fame" level blocking. Isn't a douche bag off the field.

    Pretty much the anti-Lynch.

He compares favorably with both Marshall Faulk and Chris Johnson. The first game changer in Orchard Park since Thurman's heyday.

This pick is a home run. Baluga, Claussen, or Williams were ALL reaches at 9.

awesome!!! i agree. a big need for chan's offense. huge!

  5. Ohio St fan here...

BIG BIG supporter of Teddy Ginn, but even I knew Ginn at 9 was dumb. Guy is fast, a wr. BUT he is very small and a straight line sprinter. I still thinks he has success in the NFL. but im sorry. Ginn & Spiller are 2 different animals.

Spiller is a rb and a scat back which is EXACTLY what Chan needs. Anyone saying this isnt a need doesnt understand the spread offense. This guys is absolutely a need. Chan needs to create mismatches. Spiller is the human mismatch. You cant pass on this guy if you think he is the answer. Ginn, fast and fun, but not Spiller.

  6. I agree...And The Bills already have a feature back anyway in Fred Jackson...They'll need another HB if they Trade Lynch, and sure Spiller would be a great compliment...But there are other HB's in this Draft too...And a few that will be MUCH better value Picks in time...

Just last Year the Jets got Shonn Green in the 3rd Round and The Eagles got LeSean McCoy in The 2nd...Spiller is not AP...He's not going to be that kind of back...And if this Bills regime spends their 1st Pick, a top 10 Pick, on a 5-11-195 HB who's not even going to be the #1 Back in 2010 well...I'm not going to be a happy camper that's for sure...

Personally I'm hoping the Seahawks take Spiller at #6... :wallbash:

i am not saying spiller is the pick but comparing spiller to ap--- that doesnt work. yeah, maybe Bush, but 2 things---

    1) Spiller is Chris Johnson. If I said you could have Chris Johnson right now would you take him and pay for it? yes you would!

    2) Bush was on USC. USC was insane. Spiller is on Clemson. A good program but not close to a USC.

Again, not saying Spiller is the pick. And clearly a home run rb is a luxury and we need meat, but spiller is more chris johnson than anyone else.

    we'll see...
