Oh.. on the Thus/Friday before the regular season started, Clayton went on to dispel the rumors that Steve Smith would not play... he said something to the effect that "don't be fooled, there is no wa steve smith misses this game. he will play sunday".

I couldn't disagree more! Kornhole was so annoying that I may not watch MNF by choice for the first time in my adult life next week. I thought he actually made Theisman sound intelligent. I high;y doubt Kornhole has ever seen an entire NFL game. He seemed to be more interested in his fantasy stats and talkin BS at every opurtunity.
The quality of that broadcast has gone down dramatically since last year.

Yeah, I was not impressed with the general football intelligence of the Fin fans and their stupid chants. My god if I had to hear them get excited by EVERY first down they got. It was like they had never gotten one... "its ANOTHER miami dolphins...FIRST down" Yay.
Egads man. Finally as the Fin fans realized they had nothing to cheer about, the 5 bills fans near me and I began taking over the chant for EVERY bills first down.. "ITs another BUFFALO FIRST DOWN" ... wow that made them pissed...

LOL no way... I was at the game in the upper corner of the side the play was on.... WOW did Jim get smoked. That crunch was heard all the way up in my cheap seats. One dolphin fan leaned over and yelled to me "your boy got crushed bit@h" to which I replied: Your team is on the one.

Hmmm..well based of of last years numbers where he threw for:
1,340 yds or 149 yds/game
8 TDS 8 INTs or .88 per game
25 (3.125/game)sacks
...and he also ran for:
154 yards or 17 yds/game
7 fumbles (.777/game)
0 TDS
... all in 9 games...
assuming he starts 7 more games this year and he is at least marginally better, the line is at least marginally better and Lee steps up like he has so far...then my numbers look somewhat like this...
He throws for:
3,025 yards or 189 yds/ game ( I figure that 40 yds more per game is not too high of an expectation of improvement given the new system, line, and maturity of both JP and Lee)
18 TDS (1.125/game) Lee hauls in 10 of them.
13 INTS 0r .8125 per game- Again, better line, more maturity... equals only .0675 in the way of per game improvement and its not too much to ask.
40 sacks (2.5/game) This is probably the biggest improvement because its a lil over half a sack a game less...but still I don't think its crazy.
Rushing:
336 yds or 21.0 yds / game An improvement of 4 yds per game.
3 TDS --up from 0 last year.
9 fumbles...(.5625/game) seems like alot but its a huge improvement from last year.

I was mad at KH at first....then I realized that it only brings about the logical conclusion in a more secure fashion. JP has to be the starter this year. And if KH 'fails' to win the job from JP then it further solidifies JP's standing as the man, with his teamates, with the fans, the coaches etc.
In conclusion:
KH INT. = grudging happiness?

Went undrafted because of the injury two years ago (though he put up good numbers again the next year) and also because I think he only did IT one year without big Ben throwing the ball, and most likely based on the strength of the teams he faced in his division. But tis just mere speculation on my part.

I don't care. I like him. Give me a red blooded American who likes to party and drive nice cars - I don't care. Just give him the rock 35 times a game and lets see what happens. As long as he isn't eating babies and stealing from fast food clerks, what do any of us care if he likes the ladies? If he had commented on Farves shorts we'd be pissed he was gay. Can't have it both ways. I don't want a hardcore peace loving hippy daintly frolicing into the Dolphins Dline. I want a fast car driving womanizer with 30 babes in the stands to impress, motoring through the PATs Bruschi clones. In fact let the kid say all the wrong things and see if I care- still. Make him set high goals for himself, and let him stupidly and publicly proclaim them, because if he falls short so waht. Thats better then him saying "I'm going to run for 750 yards this year and purposely be medicore. Shoot for the stars son, cuz when you fall short at least you'll be out of this world.
