I am still undecided as to where I will watch the Bills when they get back. Could be locked in a room alone, could drive back to Buffalo.....but I know for certain that I will NOT be hosting a SB party.
i wouldn't worry about it. smart money's on us all being alone in our coffins next time the bills get there.

I think when he came in and bought fully into the culture of Buffalo, that was cool to see and was very hopeful.
yeah. finishing just under .500 makes him a perfect cultural fit for this team.

i don't really think he was either of those. i just don't think he was an eat, sleep, breathe football kinda guy. i think he was a bit of a coaching diva, and i think he was really set in his ways. but i think he is also a guy i would love to close a bar with.
i would like to spend exactly zero seconds with him socially since he seems like the ultimate man-child. i would much rather go to a speakeasy with marv where we would have a whoopee sipping on bee's knees 'til we're zozzled, flirting with a couple o' smarties and dancing the charleston all night like a couple o' regular dewdroppers.

i think rex wanted to be a football coach with a sense of humor. and i think he genuinely cared about his players. he may have even valued them as people more than as players. i think he liked to have fun and he didn't take himself too seriously. and none of those things are necessarily conducive to a long career if you are not winning superbowls.

i don't understand why everyone is so upset about leaks.
i love leaks. i love them. i love hearing the gossip in the front office, i love the backbiting and trying to figure out who's positioning themselves to save their job. i love knowing what coach they're going to hire or what player they're going to draft ahead of time. there have been countless posts on this board with people begging nevergiveup or whoever else if they have inside info to share, so i'm not sure where all this anti-leak sentiment is coming from.
even if the team was good, i would probably love leaks. the fact that they suck makes leaks all the more interesting. at least leaks provide some amount of entertainment.
in conclusion, leaks are great. i love leaks.

I'm pretty sure we jumped the shark in the Mularkey years! The Fonz jumped the shark 10 years or so into the Happy Days run.
this is actually a very interesting question: when did they jump the shark? to me, jumping the shark has to be an occurrence that is outstandingly bad, it has to really stand out. there are so many options. i would go with wade refusing to wear headlines because it was completely senseless, but that seems way too early in the drought timeline. all the saint doug stuff seems way too late. and, given the team's history, rex's boorishness and general stupidity doesn't even qualify.
personally, i think they jumped the shark in the buddy nix years because he was so completely clueless and seemed proud of the fact that he wasn't particularly smart. it was either when he said his plan for free agency was to go to bed or when he was dumb enough to get recorded talking free agency with that tampa bay gm. i'm sure something equally deserving happened during the tom donohoe years, but i can't recall it right now.

Nick Foles also identifies himself as a Christian. Why not go with him since he has a history working with Andy Reid and has a longer career ahead of him and cost us less to acquire him?
the priest from the church down the street is probably more religious than foles and could be had for $25k/year. worth kicking the tires, methinks.

The power of faith can do amazing things. I am not proclaiming to deeply devout myself but I genuinely think McDermott and Rivers could be a match. Get those two in a room together and maybe a couple hours later they will walk out both thinking God called them to Buffalo to win a Championship. I am totally serious on that one.

of course certain areas and players (mccoy) are better than previous years. other areas are worse. the overall talent washes out at .500 give or take a win, just as it usually does.
