I think Brady's going to try to run the ball even more this season.... bigger WRs (Coleman, our FAs) and younger tough running RBs (Davis) will help that cause.  Preserve Josh this year as much as possible during a competitive but "transitional" year.  The only way Josh has a long career, imho - is with a VERY healthy running game.  No magic foresight there obviously, but I imagine that's the plan, by OBD.

But what do I know ??

I watched Davis a couple times in college.  He is absolutely going to surprise people.  He can be a punishing runner, and has great hands out of the backfield.  Between him and Cook i think we have a more balanced offense than we did a year ago, especially with Kincaid and Shakir with another year in camp

If they go 10-7 we’re crying about WR again next year. If they go 7-10 we get an elite WR1.

WR1 is not the difference between 10-7 and 7-10

The Bills have several guys who are probably solid WR2 and a couple with potential to be #1 guys.

Let's all take a step back from the ledge and realize the Bills went on a solid run end of last season with Diggs playing his worst ball since coming to Buffalo

  3. The biggest thing is what Brady can do with a full offseason to implement a plan.  There's no reason why the Bills can't be a more consistent team than they've been.  I've been saying for a couple years that there was clearly a locker room cancer, and it would seem that he is gone now.  I didnt think, and didn't want to think it was Diggs, I'm a huge fan of him as a player.  But the way that they got rid of him, obviously someone thought it was addition through subtraction.  I've managed teams on and off throughout my career and I can tell you definitively, I will 100% get rid of a top performer who breaks the team dynamic.  It's not always fair, but reality is that team dynamic trumps anything an individual can do.

I trust McD on defense, i just hope he leans towards aggressive.  I'd rather give up some big plays than die the death of 1000 papercuts.

The O will be OK, i think we've got an interesting group with at least 3 guys who are very sure handed in Kincaid, Shakir, and now Coleman, not to mention Davis at RB.  I can't remember a Bills team with that many receivers with above average hands at least since the post-glory era?

When you don't have a 3rd, you don't want to lose value by cashing in 2025 picks this year, and you're looking to field a complete team (to include depth) rather than obcessing on a high WR pick.

Reality that is outside the top few WRs each year, which we had zero shot a landing, we really have no idea which others will be any good in the NFL.  As long as they take at least 2 between rounds 2-5 i'll be happy.

We all wanted KC at home. Yikes, KC simply has the Bills' number, it's a shame.

I don't know if you guys watched the post game- Boomer Esiason spewed out some insane stats. KC only ran 47 plays the whole game, 4 were kneel downs, and they scored 27 points. Crazy.

yeah watching the KC O against us was like watching a SB champ doing it's tuneup run in the 1st Q of a preseason game

I re-watched it this morning and it couldn't have been more obvious it was a fake punt. Regardless of whether Mayock knew, every Chiefs players on the field knew, along with every fan in the stadium and every person watching. It was just so incredibly stupid and such an obvious choke moment from the HC. Another in a long line of instances where McD was just in over his head in a big situation.

Yup, he seizes up.  I know that look.  Get some counseling, man

The Bills are an unprepared and sloppy team. That was none more evident than on that play yesterday and it's been apparent throughout McDermott's tenure here. He's in over his bald head and if not for Allen, he'd be coaching DBs in Carolina right now.

For a guy who prides himself on toughness and discipline, it sure doesn't translate into the team he coaches.  Or maybe they're a bunch of dummies that can't grasp McD's 12th dimensional chess?  I guess we'll never know!

C'mon now, that's kind of crazy. There's a long list of great QBs that never won a title. Off the top of my head:

    • Marino
    • Moon
    • Tarkenton
    • Fouts
    • Kosar
    • Esiason
    • Cunningham
    • McNabb
    • Ken Anderson
    • Rivers

There's a sad reality Allen never wins one. Elway didn't win one until his 15th season. Sucks to write that, but it's perspective.

I should have said another QB not the.  that really wasn't the point

  9. The future of the Bills is 100% with the Pegulas.  If they believe that McD is a guy who can win a super bowl, they'll stay the course, and we'll be a good team for years to come.  Discipline starts from the top, and I don't believe that McD has it, these teams are always so soft mentally when the chips are down.  We'll win  our share of games and probably the division more often than now but we're not going to get past any teams with top end coaches.
