How could I not be dead serious? Bringing any amount of kids into the world is already an extremely selfish exercise. When you decide that you aren't satisfied  with 1,2 or 3 but need 10+ what does that say about you and what does it say to your other kids?

There's no physical means for you to give them the time they need each day or week. If you have 6 hours a day when you aren't working, they aren't in school, and awake that's ~30m a day per kid if you spend 100% of your free time hanging out with them. There's no possible way to raise that many people at the same time giving each one of them your best effort for setting them up to achieve their maximum potential and be well adjusted.

That isn't even taking into account bringing 10 new human into a world that can't physically support them or ignoring the 3 million kids in foster care/orphanages who need a good home because you want to breed your own designer kids. It's just not well adjusted, sane behavior, regardless of wealth.

    Getting little incel in here

nah Rivers is a whackjob too. If you need a convoy to travel with your kids, you have a problem. No one's DNA is that special.

well thank god we have BULLBUCHANAN to let us know how many kids we're allowed to have

  3. Waddle is an excellent receiver, but I'm wondering if we're at one of those inflection points where having a number of mid tier guys that can catch is going to be the future vs an all star or two.  I'm hoping anyways! If you had told me 30 years ago that RB was a commodity position, i wouldnt have believed you.

Yes - the silliest thing on this board is the narrative that McDermott runs the draft.  Well - the 2nd silliest thing - the first silliest being that we should have drafted a player we didn't want in the 1st round so that the Chiefs wouldn't get him

Silliest?  Those dont even rank.  I'll leave you with these words

  5. Contrary opinion here, Tua has them by the balls.  They've splashed out to surround the QB with weapons, with contracts that are going to look really bad in a couple years if not sooner.  If they let Tua walk, who on earth are they going to plug in that's going to give them any shot?  In terms of watching the dolphins be a bad football team, they would definitely be worse without Tua, and we can all point and laugh when they inevitably make him the highest paid QB in the league but i don't see that they have a choice.  OTOH a couple things go their way last season and they're playing KC in Miami in the warm instead of what they got, and things might look different.  They're not as far out of the paint as we make them out to be

Women having careers is “the current thing?”  What an odd take.

Great job Captain Point Misser.  People who are yelling and screaming about Butker are the same ones yelling and screaming about how others should be left to 'live their best life' or whatever the current euphemism is.  They're all for free expression unless it's someone expressing a point of view they disagree with.  You see it right here on TSW.  Never mind the fact that some social media manager decided it would be a good idea to dox him.

Not whining at all. Said how much I enjoy these threads. They are seriously some of the best unintentional comedy on the board in my view. This due in large part to some being very overly sensitive. For proof, see the post I quoted in this reply.

You are after all the one who chooses to whine about what you perceived as whining on something I wrote a day or two ago. The hypocrisy is blinding.

not gonna read all that, but congratulations, or sorry that happened to you

Ohhhh I LOVE these meltdown threads. My favorites are the ones that give the whole "That's it. I'm not watching" responses. Because we all know 90% of them will watch anyway.

And even if you don't watch...it literally doesn't impact the NFL in any way shape or form. Unless you're prepared to organize a massive boycott with millions of people) of any and all networks that stream the games along with every single one of the sponsors that pay to have commercial time or forms of in game advertisement. Because that's where the money train comes from in 2024.

Same mentality of someone getting a bad meal at McDonald's and yelling about taking their business elsewhere. They won't miss you. But hey, you showed them for sure.

show us on the doll where this thread touched you

Pretty soon fans are going to need subscriptions to 18 different streaming services in order to watch an entire season.

or, bear with me, find other ways to watch the games

There used to be a huge amount of piracy of movies/music/content, until Netflix made it easy to pay a relatively modest monthly fee to have access to a huge content library.  We're getting to the point now where the landscape is so fragmented The Pirate Bay looks like a reasonable alternative again

It’s funny when people talk about his age as if it matters.  He’ll be on the team for 4 years and then will leave unless he’s willing to play for less to stay.

Yeah I know my point is ppl acting like a 24 year old is counting the minutes until they can get social security.  Most of them were the same people who were mad when we didn't bring frank gore back at age 54

I don't watch a ton of SEC football, but whenever I saw Kentucky highlights, Davis was always making big plays.  I think he'll turn out to be a very good pick for the Bills and successful NFL RB.

Yeah i watched him a few times, and watch a lot of SEC Network (roll tide!) and I will tell you that Davis brings a great combination of tough running, slippery enough to make people miss, and dangerous out of the backfield.  I dont care that he's 24 or whatever. He's going to contribute immediately, and will be great later in the season when we need to wear out the other team by jamming the ball down their throats in inclement weather.

I think Brady's going to try to run the ball even more this season.... bigger WRs (Coleman, our FAs) and younger tough running RBs (Davis) will help that cause.  Preserve Josh this year as much as possible during a competitive but "transitional" year.  The only way Josh has a long career, imho - is with a VERY healthy running game.  No magic foresight there obviously, but I imagine that's the plan, by OBD.

But what do I know ??

I watched Davis a couple times in college.  He is absolutely going to surprise people.  He can be a punishing runner, and has great hands out of the backfield.  Between him and Cook i think we have a more balanced offense than we did a year ago, especially with Kincaid and Shakir with another year in camp

If they go 10-7 we’re crying about WR again next year. If they go 7-10 we get an elite WR1.

WR1 is not the difference between 10-7 and 7-10

The Bills have several guys who are probably solid WR2 and a couple with potential to be #1 guys.

Let's all take a step back from the ledge and realize the Bills went on a solid run end of last season with Diggs playing his worst ball since coming to Buffalo

  14. The biggest thing is what Brady can do with a full offseason to implement a plan.  There's no reason why the Bills can't be a more consistent team than they've been.  I've been saying for a couple years that there was clearly a locker room cancer, and it would seem that he is gone now.  I didnt think, and didn't want to think it was Diggs, I'm a huge fan of him as a player.  But the way that they got rid of him, obviously someone thought it was addition through subtraction.  I've managed teams on and off throughout my career and I can tell you definitively, I will 100% get rid of a top performer who breaks the team dynamic.  It's not always fair, but reality is that team dynamic trumps anything an individual can do.

I trust McD on defense, i just hope he leans towards aggressive.  I'd rather give up some big plays than die the death of 1000 papercuts.

The O will be OK, i think we've got an interesting group with at least 3 guys who are very sure handed in Kincaid, Shakir, and now Coleman, not to mention Davis at RB.  I can't remember a Bills team with that many receivers with above average hands at least since the post-glory era?

When you don't have a 3rd, you don't want to lose value by cashing in 2025 picks this year, and you're looking to field a complete team (to include depth) rather than obcessing on a high WR pick.

Reality that is outside the top few WRs each year, which we had zero shot a landing, we really have no idea which others will be any good in the NFL.  As long as they take at least 2 between rounds 2-5 i'll be happy.
